If France beat Spain, they will reach their third consecutive World Cup Final!

Spain attacker Borja Iglesias on former Spanish prime minister Mariano Rajoy saying France have no French players.

"Frankly, it surprised me. I'm stunned that we are still facing this kind of problem."

"I can understand that he didn't say it with bad intention, I understand France's multiculturalism as a richness."

LB, Nathaneal Ogbeta, 25 signs for Newly Promoted CS Maritimo in the Liga Portugal for the 2026/27 season after his contract with EFL League one side, Plymouth Argyle expired.

He is Anglo-Nigerian as some of you know and yes, just in case the invite radar falls on him... he will need an official switch of allegiance. He has Official English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 U17 Caps.

RW, Odera Adindu, 20 played 84mins in Sirius' 2-1 away win at Brommapojkarna in the Swedish Allsvenskan. Odera and Sirius still sit top of the table.
Bidemi Amole was on the bench for Brommapojkarna as an unused sub.

Victor Ozor Okeke, 20 who is a natural midfielder featured at Leftback in his first start for Elfsborg IF in their 1-0 loss away at GAIS in the Swedish Allsvenskan. He played 87mins.

Swedish-Nigerian, Shalom Ekong, 22 (Younger bro to Emmanuel Ekong now at Malmo) was an unused sub for GAIS.

Samuel Chukwueze in first preseason training ahead of the 2026/27 season under Ruben Amorim.

Amorim tried him in a right midfield/RWB role in a 3-4-2-1.

Zadok Yohanna in gymwork session at Brighton.
I have not seen them play.
But from stats and player profile, I think sanni suleiman is better than zadok.
Sanni suleimans stats indicate his decision making is better. That is what really sets forwards apart.
Anyway, it's still too early for both of them but that is what the stats seem to indicate.
I mean sanni is having the highest creative passes into the final third for his age.
Again this is too early to judge and I have not even seen them. Just stats

🚨 Info: Chibuike Nwaiwu 🇳🇬

Chibuike Nwaiwu has reached an agreement with Fulham 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 for a contract until 2030.

The Cottagers must now find common ground with Trabzonspor 🇹🇷, which is uncompromising on the asking price for its defender.

If dis transfer happens,I fear for dt new kid ,he might be forced to play right back ,Dts if Aina or bewene guy is unfit

No body will want to touch the pairing of a Bassey/ nwaiwu if Dey are both playing 90 minutes together in their club .

Chelle will be tempted to break it if Benji plays regularly for Brentford because it doesn't look like Chelle rates Buike that highly. Remember it took a withdrawal before he could give him a call up.

I still think Benji is the best to partner Bassey. Could be proved wrong down the line but will want to watch Nwaiwu more often to see what he brings. Am glad we are increasingly building the SE's strength in depth.

Next up is to discover a reliable back up for Iwobi and another solid LB.

Yes I know , but playing in epl will change dt mindset, to now seal the sentiment, both players should play and compliment each other well in the coming season ,make Benji use teeth 🦷 score, he won’t change it

What we need most now is a better player Dan iwobi (iwobi shld be a back up plan)

A dependable striker even if the player is not good Dan osimhen;at least something close (while akor and odas we taught were good can fight 4 SS)

And a good left winger dt can permanently replace or place Moses Simon to bench ..limit his role completely in the team

Even Noah Atubolu has found it difficult getting a new club. He refused to renew with Freiburg before summer came along, feeling he would get a new club soon enough. Freiburg has gone ahead to spend 12M euros bringing in another Top young GK from Bremen, Backhaus and now Atubolu is stranded and has only one option... Find a club willing to make him their number 1.

Atubolu had a strong campaign this past season so if even he struggles to get a club now then how much more a GK from Africa.

JohnBullMySon:
Good one for him. Hope he's able to regain his place.

I don't know why it is very difficult for AFCON breakouts to get any serious career move after.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by chrisooblog: 11:21am On Jul 14
Yes you're right about Iwobi. Didn't want to drop it plain like that so it wouldn't seem one doesn't appreciate Alex's efforts.

I disagree a bit about the striker position. Osimhen and the backups for now satisfy me. We just need more creativity from the middle of the park and wings. Akor, Moffi are decent even in Victor's occasional absence. Of course we will continue to scout for young hungry forwards to bolster the squad.

I think a combination of Sani Suleiman and Otele will soon answer the M.Simon situation. The same way the sudden appearance of Azeez and Zadok seems to have given us decent options on the right.

Atubolu can definitely get a club in Europe’s top 5 leagues but the only issue he is thinks he is good enough for any of the continent’s historic clubs to sign him

Bad as e bad he can easily get a good club in Holland , ,Belgium, English 2nd tier or the Turkish league so his case is quite different from that of Nwabali

Nwabali just terminated his contract with chippa united like someone who already have a club with full agreement to get signed
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 11:39am On Jul 14
Iwobi's replacement and phase-out plan is definitely top of the list. Chelle has that noted down and that explains his moves behind the scenes after certain midfield profiles.

He is also eying solid options for the Ndidi role as he does not want to leave things to just Nnadi and Onyedika. This is where Gibson Yah, Lesley, Ozoh and a few quality more come in. This is also with respect to Onyeka's role.

Lastly, Moses Simon is not even a starter anymore especially in the diamond but when the team executes a 4231 or 433, then yes, Moses Simon need serious phasing out because he is 1st choice off the bench for the left wing channel for width. Normally when Lookman is not playing at the tip of the diamond, he plays leftwing wards... and the one guy who takes over is Moses Simon. That needs to ideally stop between now and early 2027. I feel we should move on from Simon as a LW option before the 2027 Afcon in June/July 2027 but it also depends on the new LW options/upgrades we integrate before then.
Philip Otele, Sani Suleiman, Emma Ayaosi, Prosper Obah and other LW options on the rise have to really ball this 2026/27 season to get in.

@Emboldened... The funny thing is what you just stated is what actually happened. Nwabali had to change agents recently. He left Chippa because his agents (former) told him a deal was in place with a new team.

The initial agents he had assured him that a deal was in place so he could leave Chippa and this is why he left Chippa. Now it backfired because it turned out the agents actially did not even have all the Ts crossed and Is dotted regarding their own fees and more so it complicated everything and prevented any progress in talks with clubs interested.

Baba come run back call chippa chairman say mk em no vex say e no mind coming back 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Very funny I must say. But it’s still strange that Nwabali with his exploits with the national team and Chippa united in SA league which is highly rated in the continent found it difficult to get a club even from the same league he has shone for some years now

I am just prayerfully waiting for Trabzonspor to officially accept the latest Fulham offer of 30M euros for Nwaiwu.

Just let this reach Here we go!

Then, give us a CB pair of Nwaiwu and Bassey, Dear Alvaro Arbeloa unless na Back 3 too u get for mind.

Yeah, it was the new agents who actually mended things and saw that the relationship between Nwabali and Chippa was still okay. So they undid the divorce. Lol

As for the difficulty of getting deals, the former agents truncated the deals with hefty agent fees and other commissions thus full agreements could never be reached.

Another question to ponder. Good ask.

Meanwhile, I am wondering when news on Femi Azeez will jump out at us. He just finished playing a preseason friendly for Millwall vs Andorra (La Liga 2) moments ago.

It makes sense especially for Villa because Dibu Emiliano Martinez could leave for Juve. Time will tell.

I’m sure he will surely get a move away from Millwall
