After a very extensive search the Gov of South Carolina couldn't find any other person with the pedigree to be the senator , fate forced him to pick his younger sister. Only the Graham lineage has the required DNA to hold the seat safely.

A 26-year-old Colombian man who was reportedly in the United States legally is dead after being shot by an ICE agent in Maine.

According to immigration advocacy groups, the man had authorization to work in the U.S. and a Social Security number.

Witnesses say the shooting happened in Biddeford, Maine, during an ICE enforcement operation. One witness described seeing a 3-year-old child in Bluey pajamas at the scene while a woman cried, "You took her dad!"

The Maine Attorney General's Office says preliminary findings indicate the man attempted to flee in his vehicle toward an ICE officer during an operation related to a final order of removal, prompting the officer to open fire. The officer has been placed on administrative leave while the shooting is investigated.

However, witnesses have described the events differently. Some reported seeing an unmarked SUV ram the man's vehicle before shots were fired. One witness said the man, who was bleeding from the head, repeatedly said, "I tried to stop."

This is at least the 11th fatal shooting involving ICE or Border Patrol agents since the beginning of President Trump's second administration, according to reporting on the incident. It also comes less than a week after another fatal ICE shooting in Texas, where witnesses likewise disputed the government's initial account.

If the reporting is accurate that this man was legally authorized to work in the United States, that fact alone raises important questions about what led to this encounter and why it ended in deadly force.
