The first section of the Calabar to Abuja Superhighway is nearing completion, connecting Calabar through Ebonyi to Benue State.

According to the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Minister of Works, Francis Nwaze, on his X handle on Monday, the superhighway is set to transform travel across southern and central Nigeria, reducing travel time from the South East to Abuja from about nine hours to between three and four hours.

The first and second photographs show the present status of section one of the Calabar to Abuja Superhighway, currently under construction, while the third photograph shows the virgin road where the second section is commencing.

TVC News Online reports that the second section has already been procured and will run from Benue to Nasarawa, while the final section will connect Nasarawa to Abuja.

Wake us up when the Lagos–Calabar road finally connects Lagos to Calabar.

Nigerians appreciate the snail-speed progress, but enough of the endless "first section," "second section," and "third section" announcement being recycled and splashed across our faces since the project began.

We've been seeing those headlines since the project was launched.

Fellow Nigerians 🤗 Okay so let's do small calculation together . . .

Tilumbu has done 4 yrs to be able to complete just 1 section of this over 750 kilometres road. Let's be generous wink and give this total section a 30 kilometres stretch . . .

So, that is . . . To know how many regimes and total time (in years) keeping in mind it's being done with a whopping N15 TRILLION NAIRA of taxpayers money by a tilumbu . . . Let's press the answer out 🤳

Therefore,

750 ÷ 30 (750 ÷ 4) / 15,000,000,000 . . .

hey! shocked HEY!! shocked See my phone has grown legs and is running away! . . . angry

APC and their fraudulent propaganda activities 😏

You want 700 km of road and bridges done in two years? You guys said the project can’t go beyond Lagos. Now, your new talking point is that they should not do first section again but compete everything at once.

This is CALABAR - ABUJA Super-highway.. Not Lagos-Calabar COASTAL highway.

They’re different projects
