People are just blaming Tuchel,if he had succeeded with all his players turning into defenders, they would be hailing him now as a tactical genius.

I knew Argentina would score the moment England started packing bus against Messi.
no way he would have succeeded with the way Argentina kept coming and creating clear cut chances. Even the English players were confused about their role in the pitch.

As much as I did not want Argentina to win, but I am happy they did. This nonsense of scoring and parking bus needs to end.
It really need to end walai...many people here say they hate tikittaka, but just see how Spain dismantled France with possession football ...you score 1goal and next you want to defend...why not hold possession and tire out your opponent with sleek one-two passing game....Get midfielders that will knock the ball around and create more chances or even wasting time with passes...I so hate this pattern of Scoring 1 goal and hoping to defend till 90mins....That game pattern don send many people to early grave. The BP raiser no b here at all

💯 …y on earth will u defend 1-0 from
61st minute when no be say u be Cape Verde 🇨🇻 or Zambia 🇿🇲,d man fumble big time ,England had every reason to win dis game but the coach messed it up
Now they will be going home empty handed, because France is going to feast on them on third place match.

Even if he won the decision was not a good one . No tactical coach defend 1 goal for 20 minutes against a strong team .he has good players on the bench who can run with the ball and put pressure on Argentina to defend yet he pack plenty defenders out for the game . He messed up

When it comes to Arteta's school of Haram football, Declan Rice is the senior prefect yet Tuchel get mind sub him out.

😂😂😂😂😂

you only pack the bus when you are like 10 minutes away from closing not an entire 30 minutes for Godsake,No one was stretching the agentina back side given them all the leeway to heap pressure on England,.....Thomas tuchel was a disaster this night

That final would be crazy!!!!!! But except something happens in the heavens, I think Argentina would find a way to win it. Did anyone notice Messi looking up to the skies, as if say, God abeg b4 their equalizer?

I started blaming the idiot right from when England was winning and he started making those changes.

If he won the game it would have been just pure luck. The handwriting was on the wall already with those three successive saves Pickford made.

We all know how good Argentina have been against low blocks. It was so obvious that he was making a mistake.

I was rooting for England to renew their old world cup glory since 1966, now it can't happen again...abeg Spain should carry that thing abeg....but like this ehnn this experienced Argentine team will so bully that young Spanish team ehnn😂😂

And it wont happen.

Two indigenous coaches make the final AGAIN. So the record and history stays intact.

Spain vs Argentina

Luis De La Fuente vs Lionel Scaloni

Yamal vs Messi

The Original Finalissima that should have taken place is finally here.

TheSuperNerd:
None. Tuchel is looking to become the first foreign coach to win the WC.

He deserves a SACK! It was a terrible decision

And he did find the goal but England really messed up allowing Argentina back into the game. Argentina is not Mexico. You give them so much time to come at you and they surely will and will eventially find a way.

Enzo's belter was what took Argentina to a higher plane of spiritual high. They became possessed.

JohnBullMySon:
He’s been trying so far. I think he’s waiting for that second half period where Argentina dey usually concede.

Na when Rashford and Saka go enter.

It is a good tactic but only works well when the dominant is kinda predictable.

Argentina plays tiki taka on the edge of the box. They cross well, there are players who can spot gaps from outside the box and shoot.

They have proven it three times in this tournament, it’s only a stupid coach that will be parking that kind of bus again.

Succeeding won't change that Argentina were pounding him due to their poor defensive set-up.

As for me, I hate Park bus and won't praise it if it wins.

I hate spineless football.
You don't know what it would have meant for him to lead England to the final and possibly win it,I say his decision to pack bus is a gamble,if it had paid off, nothing else would have mattered to him and the 3 Lions.
Packing the bus can be used to achieve victory when necessary, the problem with Tuchel's own is that he started too early with wrong changes.

That is why I said I am happy it ended like this. Most teams that have tried that gamble have lost. As long as they continue losing with this gamble, it will fade.

I don't like Argentina but I detest English fans even more, so this was a choice of settling for the better evil here which was Argentina.

Messi hate watch is kind of unavoidable as a Ronaldo fan.

I liked Messi a lot back in 08, 09 when I was not yet a Madrid guy.

What eventually drags you into it is the whole fan banter. I had a few guys back then (Barca fans) that made it a full time job to trash Ronaldo.

It’s mostly the fan banter thing that causes it. You kind of want to shut them up so eventually you start wishing Messi fails. Not like anyone hates Messi, at least not me. It’s just the subtle hatred for his fans after years of contention and arguments.

It's even the 2005 u20 and 2008 Olympics(first and last time I cried for football) that started me up as a hater. Then 2009 and 2011 UCL final as a Man U fan. To cap it? He and his boys dumped us (Nigeria) out of 2018 WC.

I liked Ronaldo but his antics didn't make me a fan enough to join the banter. I hated that "hard work v natural talent" oversimplification too.

Besides, nobody fit hate sotey you no gasp when you see Messi dribble so it just happened that at 2022 WC (maybe because Nigeria didn't go) that I decided to just enjoy his game and man I regret the years.

England coach just messed up when his players are tired he doesn't make substitution rightly . Argentina for final . Two goals in less than 8 minutes
If this comeback can happen to England, then I forgive Egypt

Tuchel blew this up... I was literally screaming when they went full defense mode after scoring 1... Didn't they learnt from Cape Verde and Egypt not to defend against Argentina?

Can't they learn from Spain how to keep a lead and stifle an onslaught?

What were they thinking going full defense mode with Pickford pulling saves after saves?
