The church shall match on and the gate of hell shall not prevail over it. Targeting the church will always fail. You think the proposal is a sane one and their reasons are logical, it's false reason. It's not the driver who does the preaching and if you argued that preaching can distract the driver than I can argue that playing music by the driver can equally district the driver too. Both produces sound.
So when we speak of a better Nigeria it's stopping preaching in the bus that will translate into good governance.

How is it not obvious we must make deliberate effort to de-emphasise the influence of religion, by relegating it to private worship, and focus on educating/training Nigerians to be providers of solutions for our nation through greater assimilation of STEM i.e Science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Nigeria is one of the most religious nations in the world yet check out the pathetic state of our nation.

China's leader is openly atheist and China has a broad policy of strong focus on STEM. Look where they are today because they put their faith in human capacity for delivering solutions and not religion and miracles..

Nigerians are in church every day of the week at all hours Whereas citizens of all nation are socio-economically productive in the week and only in church on Sunday.

Over-religiousity is part of the problem of Nigeria and a conscious effort must be made to curb it as Soludo is doing in Anambra.

Stop lying to yourself. Who preaches in the bus if not Christians. How is preaching in the bus backwards. Nobody has attacked God agenda has survived it. Today or in the day of judgement you will stand before God. Then you will know what backwardness is.

I don't blame the propagator of this bill but rather Christian leaders who keep preaching messages that makes the average Christian to be docile no religion has the monopoly of violence,if some one who claims to be a believer sat under such legislation and said nothing you can see how far the message of prosperity has destroyed Christianity, in today's world if a pastor is not rich he's not serving God the sign that he was called a man to serve today is how much wealth he can display,no messages like dying for the gospel anymore just like the days of the apostles may God help us all

I bought some very important things in a bus. I honestly don't see the item around despite how important it is.

someone's sermon in another bus, made a lot of difference in the life of many people.

I personally think those aspects of the law should be removed.
