THIS SUGGESTS THAT DAVID WAS WITH HER WHEN SHE WAS PHONING HER BOYFRIEND. DAVID WAS VERY MUCH INTERESTED IN THE LADY TO THE EXTENT OF CARING TO KNOW HER BOYFRIEND? AND HE HAD THE LUXURY OF TIME TO SIT DOWN WITH A LADY TO HEAR HER DISCUSSION WITH HER BOYFRIEND??

Anita Baaki, a close friend and colleague of Habila, had earlier narrated circumstances leading to her death.
In an affidavit sworn before the Ebonyi State High Court on Wednesday, she recounted the final hours she spent with the deceased.
According to the document, Baaki travelled with Habila and other Ministry Staff from Abuja to Ebonyi on June 24, 2026, for official assignments.
They were reportedly accommodated in separate but adjoining rooms at a staff chalet located within Umahi’s country home in Uburu, Ohaozara LGA.

Baaki stated that she last saw Habila alive on the evening of June 26, after the nurse had returned from having her hair done.
Habila reportedly visited Baaki’s room and complained of exhaustion. “Mary told me she was tired and wanted to take a shower before sleeping. That was the last time I saw her alive,” the affidavit read.

Baaki said she became concerned the following morning when Habila did not come out of her room as expected.

Even to the point of him personally paying for her hospital bills in a Turkish hospital with records.
Umahi did not say if her father was aware of or not aware of health challenges, you have said/added that. It is also a very normal possibility that a 26-year-old lady's dad might not know some things about her, that her boyfriend might know. One has to be quite slow not to be aware of such a probability. Police have not concluded their investigation and persons of interest or interested parties are swearing affidavits up and down. The father of the dead girl swore affidavit. The friend swore affidavit. God knows how many people around that have been compelled to swear affidavits. It appears someone is trying to lock them in on a particular account or story at the risk of perjury so they don't change the story later. Someone definitely is trying to interfere with Police investigation in the matter.

Her friend said that she was EVENTUALLY rushed to the hospital. That word gives a gap/room. But nonetheless, Umahi himself doesn't seem to have been there but talking from a report. He said that the event happened in the guestroom/house far from where he stays. All of that is non-issue. If he's making a report, it's different. We all make summary of events, where we might put in more seriousness when it is a court or police statement. Her father's affidavit is for withdrawal of case, not an investigatin of his daughter's health history. He doesn't have to say all he knows about the lady in his affidavit of withdrawal. Who said that the boyfriend did not inform the parents after her demise but saw fit to inform the minister? Did the parents tell you personally that they were informed or not informed?
