Having sold cars over the years, some customers never come back for their number plates. Many have left the country too making them have no use for these items.

These plates are everywhere in my house and I have no use for them anymore. Is there a way to recycle the plates or can they be sold back to the licensing office?

Dig a hole and bury them under the ground. Because you won't get a Kobo for selling to liscensing office, and if you sell to any random person. If the car is abandoned after comiting a crime, you put the person registered with that plate number in trouble.

It's been recycled from one owner to the other. So, no waste

Avoid selling them as scrap with the registration numbers still visible. If recycling is the only option, the identifying information should first be permanently destroyed or defaced.

With the number of vehicle-related crimes today, it's better to dispose of old number plates through the proper channels than to let them circulate.

I'd also be interested to know if anyone here has successfully returned old plates to a licensing authority or found an approved recycling process.
