The 2027 presidential election is going to be a resemblance of the 2023 election being that the top three contestants are still going to appear on the ballot and we can be sure that the APC will still come a distance first position.

The reason for this prediction is that after the last election, the APC has built a more stronger structure by taking over almost all the states in Nigeria. While on the other hand the other two major candidates have broken the structures that gave them some formidable votes in the last election. They have joined different political parties that have very little or no single structure at all.

Some people might say Peter Obi joined the Labour party without a structure in the last election and performed very well which was due to the forces attached to the obidients movement at that time but if we look at it critically well, we will discover that such force doesn't exist anymore.

Atiku somehow only has an edge in the North which will not be enough compared to what he had in the last election. His weight has been completely destroyed the moment he left the PDP for a structureless party.

So from the look of things, Tinubu will definitely win with a landslide margin but what could change this time is that Obi might manage to top Atiku in second position while Atiku will end at the third position.

Any other candidate is welcome aside from Amuda of Chicago.

Please what zone is Akpakomezer's Ẹdo state in as I am yet to see or hear him commissioning anything without mentioning President Tinubu.

The Nigerian opposition is not weak. They are under severe constraints under the current administration. You can only play as much opposition as the sitting president allows. Tinubu was allowed to play opposition politics for decades without a direct witchunt that he is current unleashing on his opponents.

For example, Obasanjo had the power to declare a state of emergency in Lagos because of the activities of the militant OPC and unconstitutional LGA creation to remove him. But he didn't.

Yar'adua had the powers to unleash the EFCC and investigate the Alpha Beta scandal in Lagos or go after his foreign assets. But he didn't.

Good luck Jonathan had all the powers to use the judiciary using Tinubu's credentials scandals and discredit him. But he didn't.

Muhammadu Buhari had all the powers to demand his records in the FBI that he is actively preventing Atiku Abubakar from accessing using international lawyers. If Buhari wanted to use the power of the Nigerian state against him he would have interfered with INEC and the judiciary to cancel his elections on the basis of credentials forgery allegations and previous document submissions to INEC that were alleged to be inconsistent in the 2023 election petitions. But he didn't.

Let nobody gaslight you that the opposition is weak. Tinubu is the one making everyone outside his circle weak using state powers because he is bent on running unopposed.

A Nigerian President or Military Head of State is very powerful by default. Tinubu doesn't have any additional powers that nobody had. The only difference is that he doesn't know the precarious boundaries between exercising power and respect for institutional freedoms.

If restraints and strong sense of patriotism were not applied with wisdom by his predecessors, Tinubu would have been blocked from becoming a president and heavens will not fall. Let him and his handlers play this game with restraints because power is temporary. Muhammadu Buhari is the most recent example of this reality!
