Hello.
I would like to register for a Goethe exam, but I haven't been able to do that myself. The website does not work during the registration day. It shows an error message after opening the portal, and the exam is fully booked after 5-10 minutes.
Pls how do you register for the Goethe exams? Are there German tutors/centres that book Goethe exams for students? I am also interested in 'private Goethe exams' if that's possible.

You have to first register on the website and have login details, then on the registration give 2 or 3 people your login details and your bio data in case your network is not stable.
And you have to click on the book now button at exactly 9:00am, if you click it by 9:01am it might give you an error message that the slot is fully booked

Thanks for your response. I have tried that on 4 different occasions, but I haven't been successful. Would they register me earlier for the exam if I go to their institute myself (physically)?

You can join the waitlist for the opportunity card as a back up plan for your student visa but the student visa process has been faster lately and you’ll most likely get feedback for the student visa process faster than the opportunity card. You should have deferred your admissions from last year. I’d advise you to apply for winter semester admission before the deadline passes.

Had my appointment today. The interview itself was mostly what you'd expect: my qualifications, how I got the job, and contract specific details (salary, hours, start date, where I'll be working, etc).

But to my surprise, I was given a written test. That threw me, because I haven't come across a single Blue Card applicant who mentioned being tested. Everyone describes a short interview.
I studied Computer Science, I've been working as a developer since, and the role I'm going for is in the same field. Tho some questions weren't the things I actually touch day to day but I answered what I could.

Has anyone here experienced this? Interested to hear from anyone tested, whether on the Blue Card route or not.

Presently, there are no routes that allow Nigerians to apply without writing a test.

Did you submit your health insurance during your interview?? If not, were you sent an email asking you to send over your health insurance?

Lastly, is your visa for a Blue Card or a Chancenkarte? And when you made the visa appointment, what was the max duration that you were given??

The highlighted should already tell you the answer. For instance, my brother received his docs back couple of weeks back but the portal is yet to be updated.

If the response you received on the portal was positive, then its just a logistical delay and they'll probably send your documents within the next few days. But if the response on the portal was different, then that should already communicate what your staus is.

Dont think this is an issue, I hear its quite common with the interviews at the German embassy recently, probably just to stave off posturers.

But as long as you get the minimum answers right, dont think anyone has reported ever being rejected just on that note

Okay, I asked becasue the answer can help predict the outcome. Since, you submitted your insurance during the interview, then you won't need to get an email to submit that. But I was thinking you ought to be contacted about your travel date(this would have signaled a positive outcome).

I will just say you can wait until maybe Tuesday and check whether DHL has picked up your documents. You can only know whether you got the Visa, once your picked your passport.

Yes, I went for my blue card interview (on July 3rd) and also got the same shock. I was told I would need to write a test, which threw me off balance. I answered to the best of my knowledge, though.

I thought only student visa applicants were meant to write the test.

Yeah, he's already in Germany too.

The process was long and exhausting too. But at least that phase is over.

I think you'll get your docs back with the visa in a couple of days, as from you response, it seemed the notification on the portal was positive

Emailed me too and wrote me on telegram, asking me to pay 10k for a guide to help me with my question earlier. Clocked it was a scam and ignored him
