Another deluded Messi fanboy trying to limit my honest analysis to Ronaldo vs Messi. Ronaldo and Portugal that got rolled over by Spain? Spain that tossed CR7 out like paper? I predicted even a Spanish victory easily. Please try another tactic. I am not in either camp okay. You know nothing. Lol Block follows as I dont want u immature messi bunches to stain my mentions or the thread witj irrelevant digressions. Only mature ones stay unblocked. UncleHaba22: |

Spain have won two World Cups and three European Championships since 2008. Spanish teams have won nine Champions Leagues and nine Europa Leagues in that time. Spanish coaches won the Champions League, Europa League, Ligue 1 and Premier League last season. Total dominance. Cc TheGoodJoe... The Spaniards just dominate. No wonder Italy is now chasing Pep Guardiola. Courtesy: Sam Dean |

Should Nigeria spend at least 2.2 trillion Naira (for stadium upgrades/reconstruction alone) in co-hosting a future World Cup with Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire? |

PDPGuy:Well there'd be no WC on the continent till probably 2042. Morocco co-hosting 2030 rules Africa out for 2034 (Saudi) and 2038 (likely USA or South America). Meanwhile, if Africa wants to present a joint bid it will be economic powerhouses like us, SA, Egypt or Morocco. |

Yes! Yes! That belter vs Uruguay. Damn. FIFA oooo. The committee assigned to select the top 12 probably wanted it to go round but you are right, that goal should be in the nominees list. But Shomurodov's goal is too good abeg. Naaah... It deserves its spot. Odunayaw: |

@thesupernerd this was published before the final oo. Messi deserved that golden ball. You often give stats. Did Rodri pull these impressive stats? No single goal, no single assist. Just one man of the match.

At same 2026 WC... Most accurate Passes - Rodri (756) - WC Record! Most accurate Long balls - Rodri (37) Most Lines Breaking Passes - Rodri (121) Most tackles made - Rodri (26) Most Ball Carries - Rodri (276) Did Messi pull these impressive stats too above? One is a defensive midfielder who worked his socks off despite being central to how his team plays and the other is an attacker who had all the dirty works done for him by the other 10 players. So your question is laughable and the comparison quite out of touch. Rodri is most deserving of the Golden Ball. Mbappe deserves it next. When Messi got it in 2014 despite losing, no one cried even when many analysts said he did not deserve it. In the Final, the biggest game of the WC, Rodri again stood tall and showed that his prior performances was absolute masterclass whereas Messi (who is undoubtedly Great) ghosted 100%. So Let it rest. Truth hurts. Mujtahida: |

Lastly, Just one man of the match, you say. At least Rodri won one MOTM on his way to the Golden Ball. Let me help you with a shocker info. Do you know that KDB was never crowned Player of the Month in the EPL for all 9 months of a campaign (September to April) in the seasons he won the PL/PFA Player of the season? This happened twice in 2019/20 and 2021/22 and he was still deserving of it. Mujtahida: |

Yes, Spain earned every moment. Afcon 2027 begins with our games in the September/October window. I am really excited ahead of that window coz Chelle's continued work on the Super Eagles will see some interesting changes come by then regarding playing personnel. WC 2030... we will get there with time. Work is being done. But the next immediate focus for me personally is the ladies... the WAFCON kicking off in 5 days. The SUPER FALCONS have a date with Malawi on July 28. This edition serves as qualifiers for the 2027 Women's World Cup so I expect fireworks. The Super Falcons/Nigeria Women's football thread is where I would mostly be for that one with just few/occasional mentions in here. soetanoreoluwa: |

Our mission was clear and direct; - Deny Ronaldo any opportunity to win a world cup because we don't ever want to have him in any world cup winners conversation ever. - Crown the mini GOAT a world cup champion to kill the "Mbappe won the world cup at 19" talk or get the GOAT a second world cup Gold medal to further cause pains to the wannabe from Portugal. At the end, the missions were accomplished and we are happy watching and reading you deluded fellows from the other camp grasping at straws but one thing remains Paramount, your okoro will never smell a world cup trophy neither would he ever be mentioned when we are talking about the top three which are Messi>Pele>Maradona. By the way, looking at the picture below, as long as the most prestigious football event in the world is concerned, Yamal>>>>>>>Ronaldo. If you are hurt, hit back with a photo of Ronaldo like this, that isn't AI.🤣😂
