Fiorentina, along with Como, are keeping an eye on Alessandro Marcandalli, the 23-year-old Genoa defender. [🗞️ @NicoSchira]

Oh my, I am so sorry hearing about your Mom. I really am. May her soul rest peacefully and well indeed. My kind condolences.

And thank you. It is well.

I was a Manchester United fan from 1996 to 2010. Like die hard United fan. I left Manchester United because I got tired of how things were being run in the club.

In the end of that window, CR7 was the king of Manchester United. So that is why I was a fan of him.

As of Messi, the 2005 WYC decision to give Messi the best player over Mikel made it difficult to assimilate him as someone to fan.

So I like Messi but can't ever like him more than CR7.

@Sugarboyy
bros u were never a fan of Man United. Just say u liked the team then. Been a fan and liking a team are 2 different things. Fans stays forever while one can easily dislike what they once liked or loved

Como wants him? Omo. UCL football lurking if they firm up their interest.

Our growing defensive depth at CB is a major reason we are yet to fully make inroads on this guy. Like I mentioned one time, he may need no switch coz I still dont think U20 Elite League caps are official as they are friendly tournaments.

Despite the obvious zombie-fandom both camps exhibit, I enjoyed the best of both Messi and CR7. I enjoyed them so much to the extent of digesting at or in full length their individual and unique traits. I studied and watched everything there is to know or see about Pele and Maradona too and I can tell you authoritatively that watching Messi was like watching one half of Pele in full display and with some Maradona similarities in tow.... the playmaking, the freekicks, the close control dribbles, the kind of goals he specialised in scoring, the cerebral nature of his approach, etc...
And then watching Ronaldo was like seeing the other half of Pele.... the heading, the full scale athleticism, the leaps, the long range shooting & brilliant ball striking, the cerebral decision making when it cames to touches that brought him in front of goal, etc...

So I fully enjoyed both from A to Z and realised in my deep observations and unavoidable analyses of both, for I am naturally a researcher and scientific mind, that both Messi10 and CR7 are in a nutshell, two distinct halves of a mega talent that has walked the earth before in the beautiful game.

I like to understand why certain things work or are the way they are. I dont have the time to expatiate on all research done and observations done or what I discovered to reach this conclusion but this is one of the best ways I can put it.

So there is no way a half can be greater than the whole... O diro possible. Lol
Zombie-Fandom 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

is he really interested in playing for us? To be honest I haven’t seen him play before so I don’t know how good he is and his profile as a CB

To be honest, I am not even certain we have made contact till now. I will ask a source.

And he seems decent oo. A RCB profile. Good height, decent on the ball in few games I saw him last season and also pretty strong. It was his first full Serie A season so I hope to see what he shows again this season.

Nice enlightening point. However, I love the memories, the special moments they create. To me that is what matters is their contributions.

Thanks for this reply but you made a contradictory statement here.
You literally developed hatred for Messi because of 2005 WYC which he won the trophy and the MVP over Mikel because you felt Mikel deserved it, right?
The just concluded WC, Messi at 39 years scored 8 goal, made 4 assist, got to the final and was instrumental for Argentina right from the group stage till the final, but Rodri (who is a very good player and to me better than Pedri as a footballer) who only shown against Portugal, France and Argentina at the final was given the MVP. Isn't that cheating?
And by contrast, don't you think overall Cubarsi contributed more to this Spain than Rodri did?

Messi was absolutely brilliant at the world cup. However, Rodri was on another level. Many still do not understand what Rodri and Spain did. They took football to another level. The final itself showed the strength of total dominance and Rodri was a key part of the chain. If you understand it from that point, you will know Rodri was the best player.

Not the same with WYC 2005. Messi was not the best player in that tourney.

I'm just waiting for the WAFCON to kickoff or some important news about the Super Eagles to drop soon so we can finally rest from this Messi vs Ronaldo brainrot.

Thought this rubbish only happened in the EPL and La Liga threads smh.
It is really shocking bros

I am just scrolling through the thread now because of useless arguments that won't better the Super Eagles.

A sensible thing to do is if someone isn't agreeing with you, drop your opinion and move on but they're just dropping useless comparison takes here.

Hopefully normalcy returns soon as it is over 24 hours the World Cup ended.

Hopefully semid4lyf starts deleting and banning them after now because I'm not seeing the relevance of the comparison to this thread.

This list is according to their Jersey Numbers.

I am not trying to be tribal here but the truth must be told. The best Nigerian football players are usually from the South South Southeast and to lesser extent SW. Delta State, Edo State, Lagos State Enugu and Imo State tend to produce alot of talent. Whenever I see a Nigerian team list filled up with Northern sounding names I tend to lower my expectations.

Jay Enem from Crvena zvezda is attracting significant interest from Ligue 1 clubs. The Dutch striker is wanted by Olympique Lyon, RC Strasbourg, Paris FC. Enem put on a great performance against Lille in the Europa League. If Zvezda were to sell him, it would only be after the Champions League qualifiers are over.

🚨 Super Eagles land rising star.....

A major boost could be on the way for Nigeria...

Reports indicate that Al-Ittihad striker George Ilenikhena has agreed to represent the Super Eagles after productive talks with head coach Eric Chelle.....

The 19-year-old, born in Nigeria and raised in France, is reportedly set to strengthen Nigeria's attacking options alongside Victor Osimhen.....

Since he has never featured for France at any level, he would be eligible to play for Nigeria immediately if selected.....

A potential debut in September's AFCON qualifiers could mark the start of an exciting new era.... 🇳🇬🦅

Thegoodjoe please answer this question because overtime I have also wondered how you would be supporting Ronaldo over Messi in any ramifications with your kinda football philosophy
Why not? It's his choice like he said in response to me that he's more of a Ronaldo than Messi fan.

You must realise that people are free to be sentimental. I recognise Messi as the greatest but I'd chose Maradonna over him any time, any day. I love Maradonna for even non footballing reasons.

Messi is the goat but he's not my hero. Maradonna is.

We like to lie to ourselves in Nigeria. I just mentioned parts of the country that best Nigerian players come from. I am pan African to the core and if the best Nigerians players comes from Borno it will not mean a darm it to me as long as they are the best players. If an American coach present a basketball team filled up with white players most logical people will question if they are really the best players in the country because data suggests that the best basketball players in the country tend to come from black urban neighborhoods.
