It is really shocking bros

I am just scrolling through the thread now because of useless arguments that won't better the Super Eagles.

A sensible thing to do is if someone isn't agreeing with you, drop your opinion and move on but they're just dropping useless comparison takes here.

Hopefully normalcy returns soon as it is over 24 hours the World Cup ended.

Hopefully semid4lyf starts deleting and banning them after now because I'm not seeing the relevance of the comparison to this thread.
You must be a newbie.

SW also powered the Super Eagles to victory in 1980 (Odegbami) and 1994 (Yekini) wink just saying

However in all seriousness we really have to turn the National Team into a cauldron of intense competition that allows only the best of the best to emerge. That's something former Managers like Westerhof got right.

Not surprised you don't know what a decade means, after all you be olodo otherwise you would have known that 2014-2018 is part of the last decade. grin

Na just say if I decide to enter a friendly banter here, it will end up going the tribal way but since an SE striker left the scene we have not won the AFCON and neither have we gone past the group stage of the world cup (2018 Ighalo). As you said, our strike chief that was supposed to deliver opps make we chop glory in 2022 and now this 2026 matters na Osimhen oo. grin

The last glories(2013/14) wey we test na when the butcher was from SE so no go there oo grin

🚨 Lesley Ugochukwu is on the verge of obtaining his Nigerian passport! 👀🇳🇬

The first major step toward a possible change in sporting nationality. ⏳

I'm from the SE but to be fair, some of the best talents from the East that have played for Nigeria were born, raised or trained in the North, especially Jos. The North have talented ballers, but they just struggle to hone that raw skill by going abroad like their counterparts from the South. Right now most of the most exciting Nigerian players coming up are from the North...the likes of Mubarak, Zadok, Bewene, Suleiman Sani etc are all from the North.
truth. The likes of celestine babayaro, Mikel obi, Obinna Nsofor, Chidera Ejike, Sunday Mba just to mention a few I can remember now

To be fair, the north SEEMS to be investing heavily on football these days, and I hope they succeed eventhough I don't really rate them highly for now. They always flatter to deceive.

About Eastern origin players bred in the north, they have nothing on players bred in the east. Their best is Mikel, Nsofor and Babayaro but they are dwarfed by Okocha, Kanu, Okechukwu etc
especially when it comes to grassroots football

The little believe I had in northern players was killed by Musa Yahaya. I loved him so much, only for him to turn out to be a flash in the pan.

From these players you listed here, only Zadok is the one I rate. All these una Bewene this and Bewene that, I no follow oo. grin
Bewene looks decent but time will tell, be like say Czech league is the honey-pot of rising Naija talents especially Slavia Prague. Don't sleep on Mubarak sha, the bobo na baller.

Francis Onyeka needs switch if he eventually agrees as you know but one of the scouts assures me he and Chelle are still on it.

Lesley is ours. Whether he makes the Sept/Oct list, time go tell. grin

You must understand, these guys will keep trusting me with info as long as I stay discrete. I can talk freely on George now because I was informed the deal is done and he is coming home.

Chelle now follows Ilenikhena on IG and Ilenikhena follows Chelle too. So new recruitment #1 is done.

I felt the same way too to be honest 🤣🤣🤣🤣

the scouts should also recommend Jay Enem of Red Star Belgrade. I don’t know why I keep on believing that he will be hit with the super eagles and would dive the opportunity if offered to him

Also he is young (23) and within the age bracket to serve as cover and competition to Akor and Osimhen

I heard he is pretty creative too and can be deployed as an SS/AM

grin Is it not too convenient to spin this incidence as evil?
That he looked for any slim chance to prevent a teammate being sent off. Not by hounding the ref o

The negative PR has been convulsive grin

I look at what Messi did here alongside all that Argentina showed at this WC and I just shake my head, especially at those who defend this nonsense.

Utterly useless in the final. Absolutely ghosted. And still resorted to dark and classless tricks like this...

Anyone calling this guy greater than Pele is surely a Cheat, cut-corners individual and the biggest clown anywhere.😂

3 WC titles from 4 WCs vs 1 WC title from 6 WCs... Winner vs Sore Loser. I know and you also know who the actual GOAT is but yes, let the "delusionalists" keep yapping. 😂😆

Before Guardiola won the Champions League at Manchester City, I used to say Pep has done enough to be regarded a great in Manchester City and did not need the Champions League to prove that.

I believe in long term accomplishments than cherry picking titles.
But this example doesn't work. Even if you limit it to Man City coaches alone.

grin it's ludicrous to call a WC trophy cherry picking

Lol.. the comments and captions on X can be overboard but my goodness, has Messi forgotten Cubarsi so quickly? Enzo nearly wrecked this boy's career in one move and he was busy trying to play gimmick with Taggy's acting. Naah man, that was dirty. There are some situations you just cant save and that Enzo mess of a tackle was one of them. 'Should be doing better to be honest.

Messi acted there how every captain acts sha. We see them all grasp at straws to salvage any situation. I mean the Swiss are recent examples. As far as he didn't go haranguing the ref I don't see the big deal.

It's that nonsense with Cucurella that I hated very much. Yet if that's enough to vilify him, let such righteous judge tell us what to do with Maradona grin

As usual, this list carries some exciting prospects, I wont lie. But with time I will talk about them.

There are names who could have easily made the U20 list but about 3-5 of them just signed good pro deals abroad and cant be part of the team for the WafuB.

They are:

🟢Seun Akanji who just signed for Lillestrom of Norway from Sporting Lagos. Dude was on the initial list released sef and has been in camp until his move.

🟣Angelo Agbejoye, who signed for Djurgardens IF kf Sweden.

🔵Oreoluwa Agbenla who signed for AIK of Sweden from BLFA.

🟣Simon Karshe Cletus, who is with HNK Rijeka and has to return coz of preseason training. He was also on the initial list.

🔵Ifeoluwa Olowoporoku, who just signed with IFK Goteborg fron Triple 44 Academy.

It was just bad. That Taggy situation and the Cucurella own are both terrible. I mean, even as a competitor, one should have a conscience for goodness sake. The way Cubarsi hit the ground and the strong manner of the contact should bother anyone. He was not bothered at all but walked straight to shamefully point at Taggy. Mbanu. E no follow. But then it is gone... and trust the Ronaldo fan gang. Na food for them. Same way any Ronaldo F-up na food for Messi fans. I cant deal biko.

As for Maradona, everyone knows he was a maverick personality. He faced enough villification.

I am just thankful Cubarsi was okay in the end. That was classless from Messi to be frank. That and on the "cucurukoo" count.

I dont think I can emphasize enough how glad I am to see him not near our youth teams again. With Chelle overseeing the U23s, I dont expect to see him there too abeg.

He should just try renew his contract with his Slovenian 2nd tier club, Primorje and try make something of his career.
