Reading all the disgraceful comments on Messi embarassed just shaking my head.

Messi is the Greatest...

I'm sure he don't need no introduction.

Nobody, I repeat, nobody should try and sell Messi or bring stats here.

Messi don't need stats. He is the Goat.

Delete all you like, abuse all you like 🤷

Lesley Ugochukwu and George Ilenikhena will be great assets to the Super Eagles if this news is true
Eric Chelle is cooking. He is trying to build a formidable Supereargles. The days of players not giving 100 percent in the national team will soon be a thing of the past. He is trying to create a fierce competition in every position. This is what we used to have in the 90s. If you don't work hard for the team there will be another person just as good ready to take your spot.

Ivory Coast's Ousmane Diomande to join Aina and Awo at Forest? Woah.... he would be a really good signing. A really solid Ivorian CB.

the problem is that Wolves wants to sell him to Turkey precisely Trapzonspor who re ready to pay over 20m euros for him while Tolu prefers a move to Serie A or any other top league

I think that’s the cause of the friction

A few to be honest.

A followup post also showed 5 talents who did not make the list because they just recently signed new pro deals abroad and are already being integrated in Europe.

Ahead of the Opener vs Ghana on monday, the 27th, I would throw more light on the talents in the team list and I hope they come good.

NB: I personally have read reports of how Maikaba and his crew scouted and where they covered... and I feel they should have done more. In all, I hope for the best.

I'll make this post as cryptic as I possibly can.

There's an interesting question I thought of this morning when I woke up. Why did the NFF wait until the boys had landed in Yamoussoukro, and checked into the Trio Corridor Hotel, before releasing the final WAFU B U20 23-man list to the public? Not before camp in Abuja. Not right after the provisional 35 got trimmed weeks earlier. Only once the plane had touched down safely on Ivorian soil. I'd say that awfully convenient, but let's even ignore that one and talk about the other gigantic elephant in the room: Mavlon FC.

The NFF house shill in this thread (I know who he is) polishing this timeline will not tell you about the actual pattern sitting in plain sight.

Wahab Musa, tagged FC Malaga on the official list, but which academy actually produced him? Mavlon.
Imrana Muhammad, tagged Deportivo Alavés, but he was showcased at the Viareggio Cup wearing a Mavlon shirt before Spanish scouts even knew his name.
Rufai Abubakar, tagged NK Istra 1961 today, but this same player was listed as Mavlon FC less than a year ago in the 2025 AFCON U20 squad, same position, same face. That's exactly how the trick works. You'll never see "Mavlon FC" boldly printed on a final NFF release again, because the instant one of their boys lands in Europe, the tag and paper trails and everything else updates itself. So you end up with a clean list and clean conscience, and no follow-up questions.

But mayhaps you think I'm trying to blacklist the academy for no reason, so here's an honest question I want you to ask yourselves if you're keeping up: how many of these Mavlon products have ever actually crossed over into the senior Super Eagles setup? Can you count that on one hand? Or is the entire operation functioning more like a scouting agency that collects goodwill through chairman donations with one hand, while quietly moving promising kids off the books with the other, all while using "youth development" to pull the wool over our eyes. A certain barrister has already shown there's money being thrown around, donation after donation to these squads. The question is what exactly that money is buying. Visibility? Access? Favorable placement? To be clear, I'm not accusing anyone of anything provable in a courtroom. I'm asking why this pattern repeats itself, season after season, age grade tournament after age grade tournament, for the past 6-7 years at the very least, with almost surgical consistency.

My honest prediction for the WAFU B U20: Nigeria might not even secure the AFCON U20 ticket, talk less of the U20 World Cup, and once the postmortem begins, you'll hear plenty of talk about "player availability", you know, anything except the actual conversation about who's really running this pipeline, and who benefits from it.

If Rodri goes, it is okay. He has served us well and really sacrificed a lot for us. If he goes, I will still fan him anywhere he goes. Great talent.

I never support holding back a player. Also Rodri gets to unite with Bernardo Silva in midfield.

Let us see if we can secure Bouaddi and if Maresca can train him to play the role well. Sooner or later, Rodri will leave.

However, we still wait for the discussion Maresca is to have with Rodri to know what happens next.

Yeah, I read links of Bouaddi to Man City but I dont think it is advanced just yet. If Rodri leaves then I think going for Bouaddi will be nice for you and pressure wont be much on him as you guys already signed Elliot Anderson.

I don't think Elliot Anderson will play the deep playmaker role. He is likely going to play in a more advanced role. I see him as the appointed one to replace Kevin De Bruyne. So we are likely to see an improved performing Elliot Anderson in Man City.

You should know it's normal. Our discussions here are sometimes seasonal.

There are so many WC arguments, debates and analysis here while the tourney was going on. It's normal to deviate.

And there's nothing about super eagles you want us to say that we have not said before.
If this thread is focus solely on Super eagles, here won't be lively.

Peace

Hmm... so you reckon Maresca will push him forward and not play him deep like we saw at Forest and for England? Time will tell. Although I feel he has the tools and skillsets of a Number 8, he's also done pretty solid as a 6.

I believe that is why we paid so much for Elliot Anderson. His operation in the creative area is very productive. So why keep him running box to box when he can be effective supplying the forward. I am expecting a phenomenal season from Haaland.

Elliot Anderson is one of the Premier League's best progression midfielders.

Chances created: Creates around 1.5–1.7 chances per 90, placing him among the better central midfield creators.
Passes into the final third: 126 in the 2025/26 Premier League season (4th in the league).
Successful passes in the opposition half: 361, 1st in the Premier League.

Anderson excels at progressing the ball into dangerous areas and in a more productive area, I see him providing large volume of assists.

He is definitely a very progressive and vertically oriented Midfield player. Those stat numbers you drop though, he got them while playing #6 for Forrest mostly. So I get the potential outlook on him as an 8. It's really promising.
