David Moyes threw this to the trash when he finished 6th with the same thing that won the EPL in 2012.

You asked a very foolish question,... Next time do your research,... Mourinho went to inter Milan and they won the Italian league, their league cup and the Champions league that year in 2010.

Yes. That's why Italy can beg Pep to coach them and he confidently rejects them while Chelle will beg Italy for the same job and won't get it. Even if he begs to be assistant or a physical trainer. There are levels to this coaching thing.

Pep is the 🐐 manager and has proven himself at the highest level. Downgrading isn't gonna prove sh!!t lol 😆 😂 🤣
Talking about Chelle, men watching this world cup showed that winning depends on the coach o, if u wanna get far to finals depends on Coaching style, team selection, knowing how to read match and change wisely.

Does Chelle have the capacity for all this, no be when Africa go win world cup, are we employing right coaches, does the NFf know this, it's not wishing it's practical.

See Morocco, Senegal and England see how they faltered under stresss and technique.

Is Africa prepared no be to win Nations cup, world cup is another kettle of fish big time

Lmao. You can feign ignorance from now till kingdom come facts are there and I'll help you.

Sir Aiex a coach of Manchester united in 2012 won the league, retired and handed same team to Moyes. With same player, another coach David Moyes finished 6th with same team that finished 1st.

What happened there?...obviously coaching, the influence of the great sir Alex was missed.
Re: Pep Guardiola Rejects Italy Head Coach Role by wonder233: 8:36am On Jul 26
He cannot. He is a fraud. Packaging is his thing. If Italy was doing very well, he would have lobbied to oust the current manager and take the job to reap where he did not sow.

Anybody trying to play down the importance of coaching does not know much about football.

Look at Norway, see how they schooled Brazil. Why? It's because they have a good coach while Brazil had better players.

He has a valid point. I don't like doing this kind of argument. Having good players only don't win games. We have seen top managers turn average and below average teams into formidable teams. But you can't expect a top manager to go about searching for below average teams (who can even afford his services) because he want to prove a point. It doesn't make sense. Guardiola is arguably the best manager in football history and he doesn't need to accept a particular job just to prove that. He has made it clear that he's taking a break from football and we have to take it like that. When he was coming to the premier league, people like you doubted him and he has proven himself. He turn the premier league into farmers league and even leave a lasting legacy in the premier league that today, it's his type of football that ruling not only the premier league, but world football.

His point is invalid

That same season, other teams were not stagnant, they were busy in the transfer market.

Especially in epl where money is the power play. In the last 10yrs, only leicester won the epl without big spending

Now coming to the context which is Pep

Show me what Pep has won with an average team in his coaching career

You obviously don't know Pep won his way to the top. He didn't walk into Barcelona's first team because of his name, he earned it. Guardiola began by coaching Barcelona B, where he implemented his philosophy, developed young players, and won promotion from the fourth tier to the third tier of Spanish football. That success convinced the club to trust him with the senior team in 2008, where he then built one of the greatest football sides in history. He wasn't handed the top job; he proved himself and climbed there.

The reason I earlier said I don't do this argument is because you will never agree and I can't keep going on and on.

femi4:

I just did. I won't reply again after this.

Pep managed Barcelona B in 2007. There, he implemented a possession-based philosophy built on positional play, quick passing, high pressing, technical excellence, and intelligent movement. The young side not only played some of the best football in the division but also won promotion, proving that his ideas could translate into results. It was the football his team consistently produced that got him the senior team's job.

When he was promoted in 2008, Barcelona were coming off a disappointing season, finishing third in La Liga, ending the campaign without a major trophy, and struggling with dressing-room issues and declining standards. Guardiola made bold decisions, including moving on from established stars, placing his trust in academy graduates like Sergio Busquets and Pedro, and rebuilding the team around the strengths of Xavi, Iniesta, and Lionel Messi. Within his very first season, Barcelona won the historic treble of La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Champions League, playing a style of football that transformed the sport and is still regarded as one of the greatest club teams ever assembled. Guardiola didn't inherit greatness, he created it.

Now let me add this, I am a big fan of the Italy National team and I wished Guardiola will take the job. But it's his choice. If he take the job and win with Italy, you people will still say it's because Italy is a top team and he should come to Africa to take an African team to the world cup and win it. That's why I don't do this kind of argument. When he was coming to the premier league, many of you said he won't succeed but he did.

Only Mourinho can deliver on this kind of work as he can build a wack team to formidable squad. Guardiola can never function well in this kinda team.
but Mourinho cannot take on Portuguese national team rather a Spaniard in the person of Roberto Martinez is coaching Portugal, is it not a shame to Mourinho?

National team coaching is different

Carlo believe in bringing talents together and creating enabling environment for them to thrive.
That's why in ac Milan, he used Brazilians the most.
