For a very Long time ,During my university days,have been hearing about forex trading and how people do make money from it,At first I didn't really put my mind there cuz i was really focused on my studies and I didn't want anything to distract me, Around 2018 one of my close friend whom we grew up together in same secondary school but was in another state pursuing his studies in a federal university suddenly came back and started taking about forex trading and how he really wanted to make money from it, Always staring at the charts and to be sincere he was always blowing up account because he never had a mentor,my friend was always complaining and frustrated how he keeps losing money.
So around 2021 ,I showed a little interest and was like guy send me materials of what you have let me see if I can learn this thing too, which he did and he sent me pdf and mt4 which I registered and to be candid the first day i opened mt4 and looked at the charts I was lost,it was on a hot afternoon I was working as a security for a Chinese company after school,I really needed money for my clearance and to do some stuffs in school,I think it was that need for money that actually made me pick interest in trading,so that afternoon while in my bit,I was just scrolling through mt4,Omo I just tire I couldn't understand anything,As for the PDF,I think I read it up to three chapters I didn't understand anything, along the way I gave up entirely on forex and quiet...
while working in ccecc as a security I picked interest in heavy machinery and decided to learn Excavator operating,from there I got a job with another construction company as an operator, hustled money and eventually did my clearance and left for NYSC 2024.
I was posted to one interior village,I was always bored menh,I invited my girlfriend over she stayed with me for one month after which she left,Omo boredom wan kill, it was at that moment I decide to go back and focus on learning how to trade since I had nothing much to be doing,and I will forever be grateful for that decision I took.
Passed out February 2025 ,but I was still learning and was getting a understanding bit my bit..
On 9 July 2025, something happened,I discovered a cheat code which opened my eye,and everything was now clearer..
I continued trading on demo while mastering my strategy until 10 November which I decided to test my strategy on a live accounts,as always account was blown after one week because of greed,but I want to say that live account gave me confidence because I saw that I had an edge I only needed to refined it..
January 4 2026 I bought my first prop firm account with maven trading,and got my first payout on January 27 2026...I was the happiest person in the world that day, because I knew how hard it took me to get there..I can proudly say am a full time trader.

One thing I can say about forex is that"the brain you brought to trading will never give you the success You need" .you will have to get rid of such mentality and be in a trader state of mind to be able to trade smartly in an uncertain environment.

Is this comment coming from a place of failed forex trading career or just pure jealousy for what you don't know?
Calling stock and forex gambling,do you even know how the financial markets works,
You are active in mutual funds thread,but calling stock market gambling,anyways I see you are a gambler you play bet,so it the mentality you are using to judge the money market,learn bro.

Took some trade and made some lost,audjpy has been moving crazy this days ,that pairs has been giving me losses for some weeks now even on my main prop firm account,I think I will have to delete it,but before I do so ,I have to test another strategy,which is only trading the pair during asian session to see if it will move better,the pair normally act funny during London session,which is the main session I trade.

Still going, I have come to a conclusion that audjpy doesn't move during London session,and am never going to Open any position during London session no matter how clean the setup looks...let me study it during Asian session if it doesn't give me what I want I will delete the pair totally.

I will advise you go into synthetic indices rather than trading Forex with that capital

I had to give synthetic indices a try today, those asset move menh,just that to me there is no data to back the moves,I don't even know what is even fueling the moves...

I told you but just take it slowly and you can also try volatility indices like 10, 50 and 75

It's been a while since I updated this thread, and I sincerely apologize for that. I've been quite busy lately.
Being a trader is very stressful, especially when you're managing multiple accounts. Most days I'm in front of my screens from morning until the trading session ends. Once it's around 4:00 or 5:00 p.m., I'm done with the market. After that, I either go out to play golf or spend some time with friends to relax.

I know I started this thread, and it's my responsibility to keep you all updated, so I'm sorry for the silence.
A while ago, I came across a promotional offer from a prop firm. Even though it was an evaluation account, I usually prefer instant-funded accounts.the deal caught my attention because it was only $6. It was simply too good to ignore.

To take advantage of the offer, I made a small withdrawal from this account (proof attached below) and purchased the evaluation account that same day.
I've been trading it, although not consistently, because I'm also managing three other instant-funded accounts for some clients. As a result, I mostly use this evaluation account for swing trades.
I'll have more time to focus on it. If I pass Phase 1, I'll move on to the next stage.
So, no i haven't quit. I've just been extremely busy. From now on, I'll keep this thread updated consistently.

I received my funded account and have been trading on it since then..my vision is to scale up from this account ,get another larger account and then to a 400k funded account...it not a race,just slow and steady,that why I want to be documenting my journey here.
I believe in future I will be able to do lot of giveaway from this thread to upcoming traders to enabled them get an account and starts trading ,because we grow by lifting others...

I also trade deriv and synthetics pretty well but lack of funds has been a serious challenge.

Thank you very much my brother, I will recommend maven trading prop firm to get an instant funded account,their account are cheap and realistic for trader to scale through.but note instant funded account do have consistency score,are you okay with the rules?
