We all are. Seun is using the cover of journalism to try to push an agenda from his paymasters.

I know Peter Obi wants to be heard by the people, but he has already said everything he needs to say. At this point, filter and focus on TV stations who have something new to talk about, like policies everyday Nigerians can relate with. The viewers will find you there.

The headline contradicted the content. She was every bit as incoherent as her boss. No question was repeated. He never explained why he built no school, instead, he now proudly said clearing the grass around a university was an even greater achievement than building school. At least we now understand why no school appeared in 8 years.

No one is mounting pressure on him either. He is simply addicted to the spotlight. And that "choose suffering" sermon? It rings hollow when preached by admirers of a man who deliverd poverty more than double what he inherited his watch.

You saw the headline and ran with it.

Aisha Yesufu is irritated because there's nothing new interviewers are asking Peter Obi today that hasn't already been asked. She's irritated that Seun Okinbaloye isn't asking anything new. She's even more irritated that the media is focusing on Peter Obi as though he's the only presidential candidate.

Where's Atiku? Where's Tinubu? Where are their media engagements? Of course, one of them the current president is in a bunker.

Ever noticed what happens when an overhyped product finally undergoes a proper quality inspection?

The marketers don't blame the product.

They blame the inspector.

That is exactly what some Obidients—and now Aisha Yesufu—appear to be doing after Peter Obi's DISASTEROUS interview with Seun Okinbaloye.

Instead of confronting the obvious gaps exposed during the interview, the new target has become Seun himself.

Why?

Because a journalist asking follow-up questions is apparently now considered an offence.

Seun asked for three specific security measures.

He asked how 5% loans would be financed.

He asked how Nigeria would move from consumption to production.

He asked about timelines, implementation and measurable outcomes.

Those are not hostile questions.

They are exactly the questions a presidential candidate should be prepared to answer.

When broad slogans met detailed interrogation, Blueprintless Peter repeatedly struggled to move from aspiration to implementation.

Now the referee is being blamed because the striker missed an open goal.

The irony is that many of the same voices applauded Arise TV's Rufai Oseni when he pressed politicians they disagreed with. Tough questioning was then celebrated as fearless journalism.

Today, because the questions were directed at Peter Obi, some suddenly regard rigorous interviewing as bias.

That is not a consistent standard.

Aisha Yesufu should face the uncomfortable possibility that the interview did not create Peter Obi's difficulties—it simply revealed them.

The problem was not Seun's persistence.

The problem was that several straightforward questions required straightforward answers, and too often they produced broad promises, foreign comparisons or appeals to personal commitment instead of detailed policy.

A quality product does not fear inspection.

Only an overhyped one does.

Perhaps the greatest lesson from that interview is this:

You cannot package a slogan as a blueprint forever. Eventually, someone will ask to see the engineering drawings.

I don't understand why anyone should pretend to be surprised at his performance. The only time one should be surprised is when he does well I'm such situations. Fumbling comes to him naturally.

who wouldnt be? it was a watery interview filled with many lies, notable among them was the claim by Obi that all his commissioners were muslims. His followers wanted to gaslight us that he was referring to the police commissioners. Governors don't appoint police commissioners so Obi could not have called them 'my commissioners' and two of the police commissioners that served in Anambra during Obi's adminstration were christians- Philemon Leha and John Haruna

In other words, Aisha is saying Obi should stop exposing himself to criticism. People should get him elected first and hold him accountable later.
I thought Obi was the best thing since sliced bread.

Aisha is actually advocating for the approach the Democrats used in 2020 to get a frail, incoherent Biden elected.

The fact is that the more Obi talks, the more incompetent he appears. What has carried Obi largely is vibes and not depth.
