'I Am A Nobody without My Native Language' - Rudeboy Shades Brother, Mister P by fergie001(op):
Peter, one half of the PSquare brothers has ignited some debate on X over his children's choice of language. How it started......

Still in Paris! 🇫🇷

Watching my kids speak French so effortlessly makes me think… maybe it’s time to own a crib here in Paris. 🏡❤️

Just a thought. 🙏🏽✨
Mister P

There was a lot of reactions and attack on 'X' and he didn't hold back

Meanwhile, many of the same people criticizing me would jump at the chance to get foreign citizenship or raise their own children abroad if they had the opportunity. 🤷🏽‍♂️

With everything going on in Nigeria, your biggest concern is whether my children speak Nigerian languages? 😂

Focus on the real issues and let people raise their families the way they choose. Ndi ala🤧
No amount of insult dey stop person progress or success! So continue!🤣🪣 Language identity my a$$🤧😂🤣
Mister P

Again and again… Who Nigerian language help?
If e pain you, Go hit your head for wall. 🙅🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🇳🇬 I am a public figure and so what?
Call me names. Thats your own cup of tea. The real question is: Did I ever complain that my kids can’t speak my language? No.

So why are people angry on my behalf? Yen yen yen! 🤦🏽‍♂️ frustration too much for niaja! I understand.😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂

None of you has still answered the question: Who has speaking a Nigerian language really helped?
When our politicians send their children abroad to live, study, and embrace other cultures while neglecting the value of ours, nobody holds them accountable. But somehow, I’m the one you want to tackle?

Some of una never never ready. Una learn new thing…

📌Unto the next one … 🇺🇸US/🇨🇦Canada get ready for the big announcement! Mr P is coming….👍🏾🙅🏽‍♂️
Mister P

Following the reactions, Rudeboy wrote on his page alongside with his 'Nkenji keke' musical video.....a song he made with the chorus in Igbo language
I’m a “nobody” I repeat!! a nobody!! without the culture, native,language, the pride , of a Nigerian 🫡🇳🇬 100% proudly Nigerian 🇳🇬100% proudly Igbo 🫡

Even "matured" celebrities are not exempted from this dung-slinging act of online clapping and dirty-linen washing that's the main stay of the average Nigerian.

But I hope y'all keep your beefs and shades off the mouth of headline hungry bloggers. Make una try reconcile before the end of all men comes knocking.

Identical twins only in facial, but every other things are differ.

Meanwhile, you will leave a peaceful life if you allow others to express their own opinions, belief, culture and religion.

Very very true Mr P. Your language is your identity. No one can shame you for knowing your roots except they are ignorant.

The same way nobody can shame his brother, because his kids are able to communicate effectively in french and other international languages.

I hate when Africans discard their cultural identity. No offense but Igbos are often guilty of this.

Self hate is a thing. I don't like how Rude boy writes most of the time ...but I side with him here.

People saw Benue and Plateau people slaughtered for years now especially since 2015.... You never see them lament.

But " Cry for Paris " " Cry for Palestine"... Them go carry am for head like Gala. People wey no send us.

Love how Anthony Joshua and Israel Adesanya always identify with their cultural origins.

I don't understand a word of Phyno's rap but I admire him for being unapologetically Igbo.

OP, take your medicine and then quicky correct the subject. He said "I Am A Nobody WithOUT (not with) My Native Language."

That said, Rudeboy seems to like trouble too much.

I feel sad when Nigerian men are not proud of their origins.
You see them being proud of what is not theirs. Some even westernizing their names. Such a shame.

Why is he even disturbing the internet space with French this, Igbo that? As if the kids are the first to speak French. These guys should better grow up

Well this is a problem for many children born outside. They know their heritage but don't know their language. Semi colon unfortunately

That one no mean say Tinubu go say Je ma'pelle Bola

On a more serious note, you use the language of where you are. I won't blame them for using the language of their location at the moment. Even Achebe talked about writing with English and what was practical but still not losing his roots. It's just the mindset behind why we are doing what we do. It's easier for Africans to be proud of many things but theirs! Inferiority mindset

I don't think I can side with Rude boy in this matter. Why? Because people are dragging his brother, he decided to drop a song that is opposite of his brother's view. That's the immature aspect of the whole story.

Thats why I love what Traore is doing in Burkina Faso by banning Sharia and Western dressing by judges and lawyers in court to local Traditional attires..
The Arabs will not share their wealth with Africans only the Qur'an.
The West will not share their technological advancements with Africans only the Bible.

Almost without exception. It's as if they'd die if they don't get in the mud and "clap back". Smh.

One thing I love about African languages is proverbs. Some of them, English can never do justice to it. Maybe it's time for someone to give them a proverb but they may hear it, they won't understand its depth undecided

The man did not say the kids should not speak his local language. As time goes on, they will definitely get to speak

But apart from English, these international languages and important and they open doors to opportunities globally - French and Spanish.
If you know, you know.

Some are even adding Chinese language too.
Re: 'I Am A Nobody without My Native Language' - Rudeboy Shades Brother, Mister P by VaginaAcademic:
Nonsense. Did Mr. P ever complain that his kids can't speak Igbo? Even Oshiomhole's son, the Health Commissioner who studied in Mexico, speaks Spanish.
