Not only blacks, whites too.
The word slave comes from the ethnic name Slav because large numbers of Central and Eastern European Slavs were captured, enslaved, and sold during the early Middle Ages
Louisiana's Creole population included a unique, prosperous class of free people of color (gens de couleur libres) who actively utilized local legal systems to secure the freedom of others.

And let's not forget the Haitian Revolution was lead by Creoles not enslaved Africans but Creoles.

Not according to history, as shown below. Haitian revolution was by enslaved Africans. Even Toussaint Louverture was a slave who obtained his freedom

POLL! POLL!! POLL!!!

Folks please don't be very angry, we just instituted a POLL!
PLEASE GO AND VOTE!
The Poll Question is:
If a man refuses DNA test because he loves the child too much does that make him a simp?

Also comment here on the thread if possible, as to your reasons why or why not!

Also please help me welcome our resident Louisiana Creole who has never been anywhere near Africa and therefore thought Africans lived on trees. He has now repented and has accepted he has African blood - after reading what I wrote him below:
I'd say him not wanting to know is simpish behavior. There is something not manly about it. Different if he knew for sure but decides to raise the child anyway

Because she was bought from another master who probably saw her as just a slave. Slaves sometimes had Sundays off where they went to church, she probably meet a man there who was free and he buy her freedom. Or she could be the relative of another that was free and they paid for her slave price but couldn't afford to pay for the bond which was 3 times more than the cost. Some Creole people were never slaves and some were people that Creoles bought out of freedom and they became Creoles. Creole only means a French or Spanish son born in the colony. Creoles does not mean mixed that's just a connotation.

. Just like Nigeria has over 300 different ethnic groups so did France have lots of people of different backgrounds. Yall have solidly bought into the white washing of European history. Europe was a Trans continent with lots of different kinds of people, Moors, Franks, Arabs, Accadians, Basques, Iberian, Goths, Romans, North Africans, Saxons, Norman's, etc. People of different skin tones, phenotypes, ethnicities and faiths. France was not the isolated place of West Africa before the 15th century. You are seeing Europe through the narrow lens of Nigeria being 99 percent African. This is little man thinking.
The post says she was owned by her grandfather and her father paid a lot of money to secure her freedom..

I disagree. All those refered to as Creoles today are mixed and all have African blood

Admixture isn't the same as direct descent and you know it. The women mostly are your kin whom your ancestors captured, tortured, raped and sold to strangers. The merciful act that my Frankish ancestor did was set them free and raise them up as Catholics.

We had no white Jesus worship because the Franks were not idol worshipers like the Anglos and Igbos. And yes I am comparing your traditions as the same pagan religion as the Anglos. The Anglos who colonized Nigeria and brought the White Jesus to you and Freemasonry..This is the same Prince Hall Freemasonry that you're so proudly defending it saying that he Prince Hall was a great man. grin You love all the evil people of history even defending the Igbo ancestors by saying that they didn't enslave other Igbos totally erasing their sins with lies. I can post other Igbos who admit the truth and end your lying easy.

Toussaint Louverture was a Creole. Nearly every revolt to free slaves was lead by a Creole or Mulatto. There is no instance of a Sub Saharan African ever risking his life to stop slavery where it was a celebrated custom. The Sub Saharan African had no issue with enslaving or owning slaves so as long as it wasn't him or her who was the victim.

The one drop rule was making European people of color into Black. Now there is nothing wrong with being an African but Black is used as a spiritual language term. It has a different meaning than just the ancestry label placed on Black. In the Middle East white is used as a symbol of purity by sayings that Prophet Muhammad had a white glowing face, this isn't a racial term but a spiritual term that means the Prophet Muhammad was a spiritually, righteous and moral man. Black was considered spiritually, morally dirty just as a traveler would be after being in the desert for a few days. The Arab had no concept of race they judged only by father's bloodline.

So what Malcolm X pointed out in the Webster's dictionary that white carried connotations of pure, good, clean and moral, whilst black meant impure, evil, dirty and immoral. So the Anglo-Saxons or British people created the binary system where pale skin was considered white and darker skin considered black. Now let that sink in.

Since Anglo-Saxons were a Protestant people they rejected the Catholic Church or protested the ridding of pagan traditions that conflicted with monotheistic doctrine they despised Catholics. My forefathers were the Catholics and they were darker skin or tan skinned people. Owning slaves conflicted with Christian doctrine so some people used the Curse of Ham to justify their owning slaves. Ham was supposed to have been cursed Black but its taken out of Middle Eastern concept of spiritual language and recreated into skin color. The Basques of Spain also helped craft these made up color race terms, or caste by denoting the lack of good spiritual qualities based solely upon skin color. Black became brutes and Browns became Savages. Anglo-Saxons began using black to define people of darker skin as spiritually impure and people with pale skin as white or spiritually pure. So instead of making the inner transformation by following the true Catholic doctrine Anglo-Saxons pivoted the meaning of good and evil around skin color. Everyone pale skin became suddenly good/white and everyone darker became black/evil.

This is where the One Drop Rule comes in right after the Civil War and the emancipation of African Americans. Now Creoles have been free people the entire time for centuries, even freeing Africans and integrating them into Catholicism and the community. Suddenly Anglos became aware that Creoles were the true Christians because our ancestors freed slaves out of religious piety just like benevolent Arabs who freed Africans by Islam. Anglos and so called Abollishonists only fought and ended slavery purely out of economic reasons not due to religious piety. So casting Creoles into the category of Black was a way of denying us our honor of being spiritually moral and righteous.

Robbing Creoles of our French heritage and turning us into pagan Africans that benevolent white people freed. It's called destiny swapping. King Louis becomes white or pale, the Franks become white or pale Germans, the Templars become white or pale. George Washington the founder of the United States becomes white or pale although he was tan skinned and had French ancestry. An abundance of history is rewritten and fake artwork created to complete the destiny swap.

Stop describing yourselves as Black because its being used against you. That's what Mr. Gani Adams the commander pointed out and other Yoruba leaders who figured out when they publicly rejected the Black Lives Matter. Black and White is a binary trick with black on the bottom as the burden bearer and scape goat for the white on top. Every time we use the classifications of race we empower those who benefit at the top. There is no such thing as race.
Good write-up, but almost everything you wrote is in your head and has nothing to so with real life here in the America.
Maybe there's no such thing as race in your head but there is definitely race in everyday American life and it is/was on that basis that some people caught real hell and also on that basis that wealth was unfairly distributed and passed down through the generations. Some people worked while others collected proceeds of their labor and passed it down to their descendants to this day.

What I notice is that you don't have a sense of fairness or morality of things. Your only concern is that this distant relative of yours was wealthy and it becomes something to brag about, or that distant relative of yours was enslaved and it becomes something to be ashamed of and you deny them being your relative.

Here in America "black" doesn't mean all you said. Neither does white mean pure or any such thing. Neither does brown have any such conotation. They're simply convenient ways of denoting different groups of people. That's all.

Creoles and non Creoles alike paid to free their enslaved family members. Nobody randomly bought enslaved people just to free them. That's not true.

My great great great uncle Charles de France sr did just that, he bought slaves to work at the de France house and set them free. You can imagine men fighting and dying in the Civil War to end Slavery but you cannot imagine anyone buying slaves to set them free? Maybe if your ancestors fought to end Slavery instead of celebrating it then your imagination would not be so closed shut. But we see the world how we see ourselves. You're all mixed up partly out of pure ignorance and partly out of not being able to face the truth.
No, it was the Catholics that brought white Jesus and still worship that to this day, including here in America. I am an Anglican. We don’t have graven images in our churches as the bible commands. Catholic churches, including here in America, are full of statues of various saints that they pray to and light candles to - exactly as our traditional idol worshippers.

So bring any person that will say there was chattel slavery in Igbo land. You were told to go read a book that thoroughly describes precolonial Igbo life and customs, "Things Fall Apart". See if you'd see any chattel slavery there.

I don't know what you mean by admixture is not descent. All I know is that all Creoles here in Louisiana and US as a whole have African blood.

THE ARCHITECTURE OF DIVINE BETRAYAL: VERSAILLES TO AROCHUKWU
================================================================================

History is frequently written from the top down—a grand tapestry of institutional
edicts, papal bulls, and royal decrees. Yet, when we dismantle the official
narratives and examine the raw mechanics of power, a chillingly universal
blueprint of human nature emerges.

Whether in the gilded halls of 17th-century Europe or the dense rainforests of
West Africa, absolute authority has rarely been achieved through sheer military
might alone. True, absolute control requires a shadow-government of zealots
who can manipulate the spiritual landscape, weaponizing the deep-seated beliefs
of a population to police, exploit, and betray their own people.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I. THE ANATOMY OF A ROYAL TRAP: VERSAILLES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For centuries, France was legally and spiritually bound to Roman Catholicism,
proudly bearing the title of "The Eldest Daughter of the Church." This deep
identity began with Clovis I, King of the Franks, who baptized his nation into
the Catholic faith around 496 AD. To the French Crown, to be truly French
was to be Catholic.

When the French Reformed Church arose, demanding an internal cleansing of
institutional corruption, the establishment weaponized language. They did not
call these reformers the "Reformed Church"; they labeled them "Protestants"—a
derogatory political insult designed to frame holy reform as secular treason.

Enter the ultimate psychological trap, mirrored brilliantly in modern
storytelling through King Tommen Baratheon’s fatal alliance with the High
Sparrow in Game of Thrones:

* THE ILLUSION OF CONTROL: King Louis XIV, obsessed with absolute power, allowed
his Jesuit confessors—including Father François de la Chaise—to whisper into
his ear. They flattered his ego, convincing him that an absolute monarch
must enforce a single, absolute religion.
* THE WEAPONIZATION OF GUILT: Plagued by political paranoia and spiritual
anxiety over his personal sins, Louis XIV was manipulated into signing the
Edict of Fontainebleau in 1685. He tore up the royal protections of his
ancestors, thinking he was cementing his legacy. In reality, he had handed
the reins of the state to a shadow-government of zealots.
* THE INTIMATE BETRAYAL: For families like the De Frances of French Flanders,
this was a profound, personal betrayal by their sovereign. Under the shadow
of the state-enforced religious police (the Dragonnades), Jean de France
made a desperate choice. To protect his faith and save his ten-year-old son,
John Henry, from being forcibly taken by the state, he fled the kingdom
in secret—risking a lifetime of slave labor in the galleys to seek the
absolute religious freedom of Pennsylvania.

The ultimate poetic justice arrived decades later in 1764. Exhausted by the
internal divisions, legal warfare, and financial scandals engineered by this
untouchable religious order, King Louis XV finally realized the depth of the
trap and officially exiled the Jesuits from France "for the sake of the
peace of my kingdom."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
II. THE SACRED ENGINE OF EXPLOITATION: THE ARO ORACLE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Across the Atlantic, along the Atlantic façade of Europe, the Basque people—
cousins to the Celts—shared a profound ancestral heritage with the Anglo-Saxons.
Their pre-Christian traditions were deeply intertwined with nature, sacred
landscapes, and seasonal cycles. When the Reformation exploded, the Anglos
fought Rome from the outside. The Basques, through Ignatius of Loyola, took
the opposite path: they integrated themselves directly into the heart of Roman
power, establishing the Jesuits and using their proximity to the Vatican as
leverage to shield their own regional autonomy.

Yet, this dynamic of utilizing a monopoly over the "voice of the divine" to
run a covert political and economic empire is not unique to Europe. It finds
an exact, devastating parallel in southeastern Nigeria through the rise of
the Aro Confederacy.

Just as European monarchs and citizens deferred to the Vatican out of a deep
reverence for salvation, the populations of the Niger Delta deferred to
Ibini Ukpabi (known to Europeans as the "Long Juju"wink—a highly revered oracle
housed in a hidden cave complex at Arochukwu.

The mechanics of the Aro Oracle operated with the same cold, systemic betrayal:

1. THE SUPREME COURT ILLUSION: The Aro priests did not conquer through military
might; they positioned the oracle as the region's final, unappealable
court for land disputes, warfare, and legal judgments.
2. THE FALSIFIED VERDICTS: When the oracle found an individual "guilty," the
community was told the gods had literally devoured the sinner. In truth,
it was a highly sophisticated commercial front. The victims were blindfolded,
stripped, and secretly marched out of a hidden rear exit in the caves that
connected directly to river routes.
3. SELLING THEIR OWN KIND: As the transatlantic slave trade boomed, the Aro
priesthood actively engineered disputes, framed innocent families, and
labeled political rivals as "abominations" purely to feed the international
market, selling their own kind to European ships at coastal ports like
Bonny and Calabar.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CONCLUSION: THE UNIVERSAL PLAYBOOK
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Facts and institutional conclusions are often two different things. An archival
record can show a signature on a document, but it cannot measure the depths
of human survival, compliance, or fear.

When we look past the specific names and geographies, the historical playbook
remains identical. The tragedy of human history is that the most profound
betrayals—whether a French king hunting his own subjects to appease his
confessors, or an African elite utilizing a sacred shrine to traffic their
own people—are almost always carried out under the banner of the divine.

How can someone be comparing the Catholic Church with inconsequential Aro?
There are five Igbo states. Aro happens to be in my own state yet it is so inconsequential in impact that we know almost nothing about it in my area. This is like using the activities of one masonic lodge you happen to chance upon in US as representative of US. This is what happens when people talk from reading books instead of direct experience.

I'm talking about the Freemasonry black washing that your lodge does and sworn you too. Toussaint was no African. And his being a Freemason clearly is something that I haven't researched but I have my doubts. You're making him into a Freemason is really quite bias but whatever.
See how you were INTENTIONALLY miseducated? You went through all those years of education into old age believing until TODAY that the Haitian Revolution was led by mixed-race folks, not knowing Toussaint was 100% African like all the rest of them.
Now apply that to everything else you think you know!

➜You're all mixed up partly out of pure ignorance and partly out of not being able to face the truth.
➜ So bring any person that will say there was chattel slavery in Igbo land. You were told to go read a book that thoroughly describes precolonial Igbo life and customs, "Things Fall Apart". See if you'd see any chattel slavery there.
➜I don't know what you mean by admixture is not descent. All I know is that all Creoles here in Louisiana and US as a whole have African blood.
1. The catholic church may have brought Christianity to your particular part of Africa. However, the stories and Gospel of Jesus Christ(not to be confused with Christianity) were already in Africa from about 1900 years ago, right from the first century. The religion of Christianity came later on around the early 2nd century AD(1800 years ago), before it was then decimated by the violent colonization of North Africa by Islamic invaders who then remained beginning about 1400 years ago. 😐😐

2. The book, Things Fall Apart, was never meant to be read as a historical guide. On Slavery, it was legal, normal, and practiced by people across all ethnicities. 😐😐

3. The ancestors of the Creoles were Africans who were captured and sold as slaves to the Americans. Those who captured and profited from their sale were fellow Africans, some likely from the same ethnic group. Before you go claiming them as your own, be reminded that your ancestors were probably among those who rejected them, collecting material profit for each head.😐😐

No, I believed the lies that he was an African then I realized that you just don't have it in you. You suffer from spiritual and moral envy because these are the things you covet.

My mother's family fled Ethiopian Civil War in 1855 to Egypt then to the United States. Ethiopians have been Christians since around the 4th century and a few groups before in Ethiopia. On my forefathers side the de France have been Christians since the time of Bishop Arias. My bloodline has never been pagan, never Anglos, never African and my story is 100 percent true.

Let's look scientifically at the claims.

1. Mediterranean Middle Eastern people are haplagroups J1, J2 and G2a, they are not Anglos or Africans. Mediterranean Middle Eastern people are a brown to yellow but not pale.

2. Creole men are mostly J1, J2 and G2a haplagroup..

3. African Americans who came from West African slaves sold to Anglos E1b1ba Sub Saharan African and many are now R1B haplagroup the bloodline of Anglo male slave owners.

4. Creole women are mostly L1, L2 and L3 maternal haplagroup with some having Native American maternal ancestry.

Creoles are men are not the descent of Africans or Igbos. We are not the descendants of the British.

Ignoring these scientific facts are deliberately done out of spiritual and moral envy. I came to this conclusion after thoroughly observing Igbos and African Americans parade to the world that they're the true Israelites. Look at the science, that's all I present.

He's still talking, even with egg on his face! How many times have you said here that the revolution was not by enslaved Africans but Mulattos?
And the only reason you even heard about it at all is that it happened over there. If it had happened here they'd have totally suppressed it OR put a spin on it whereby the French, in their infinite good-heartedness, magnanimously granted them independence instead of wipping them off with their superior fire power. And that's what will be in text books and it will make sense to anybody reading it, yet it is a total LIE!

Exactly. Same way they suppressed so many things or put a spin on them, like the Nigerian Women's war and so many other successful and daring revolts

I'd say him not wanting to know is simpish behavior. There is something not manly about it. Different if he knew for sure but decides to raise the child anyway
You have a point but I believe love trumps all

Even contemporaries of the King living in France roundly condemned the code as draconian.

Very good advice you gave him here. You hit all the points. Amazing he can't see he has no choice. Whites won't accept him, neither will other mixed groups of the world, while Creoles are too tiny and non-cohesive. The only major group he can comfortably belong to and be fully welcomed as one of their own is African-Americans.
I think he's just too set in his ways, old age and all grin
