Meanwhile a lot of youths are jobless people are struggling to enter the agency. Make dem employ youths even as task force that will be tracking down fake items . The most interesting thing is these task force will pay themselves because revenue generated from expired products and fake item fine will be massive and more enough to pay task force

Very very annoying. Also, they gossip pass Nairalanders. Most of them can't survive a month in a working system, they either sit up or run back to Nigeria claiming abroad is very lonely.

Why can't you bring out recruitment then?? At least from the 6 geopolitical zone in Nigeria, or by the 36 states in Nigeria?? At least 100 staff per state or 600 per geopolitical zone.

It's not hard.

The problem is that it still won't work that way. Most likely, they have their personal people in each state/zone they will appoint while the populace with better qualifications dont get their attention unless they know people that know people that know them in control.

You'll be shocked to see the figure in their payroll.

Baba, walahi no be only you dey reason this matter o....How do people ( almost everyone) come about those figures ( 200m plus).

Thr last population census figure in 2006 was 140m plus if I'm not mistaking.

But we have over 15m unemployed graduates outside there, why not employ them? But you won't because it's reserved for the children of senators, governors, and other elites.

What she saying doesnt addup .. cos Nafdac don't deal with people/consumers directly neither does Nafdac run like hospital that admit patients nd need staffs to attend to people on admission

nafdac duty is an oversight function on Manufacturer to test and certify products save for consumption ...this is science

You need more of machines n lab than human labour, looking at the ratio of manufacturers to Nafdac staff i don't see why the Boss is cry foul

I remember when in 2012, we were lied to that the population was 206 million. Four years ago, we were told 240 million or so. The BBC (which has surely lost patronage) forecasted we’d hit 260 million by 2026. Our true population is ~242 million. I had to ask AI why our figures are always exaggerated. It finally made sense.

2,000 staff for such a number is nothing. 150,000 is a sneeze on a windy day. Push the number into the tens of millions and anyone will see that seriousness is in effect.

Think outside the box. Use technology to bridge the gap.

They give you more and you will be setting up road blocks on the highways, asking for patrol vans and sirens, rifles and bulletproof vests.

One way these agencies can resource is to engage the public through symposia, fairs, outreaches, townhalls to sell their mandate to the public while recruiting adhoc, part time staff particularly at the specialist levels who will work part time, contract on honorarium or just a plaque of commendation and a pat on the back.

This is what I also hope for less endowed agencies and even the proposed State police in places where finances are tight.

From 2010 I started hearing 150m then 180m to 200m to 220m and now 240-250m.
It's funny really.
