Any PhD applicant?
Re: Anyone Studying In Portugal!!!! by Educator619: 10:59pm On Jul 18
freedomtours:
You can use your Bsc&transcript, master and transcript, you will authenticate both, at ministry of education and Foreign Affairs.
You will submit your masters and transcript to embassy for legalization, but embassy will want to sight your authenticated Bsc&transcript to know weather you past through university before obtaining the masters. So it is your masters and transcript that will be legalized.
Then you can proceed with admission, though there are some schools also you can apply with unlegalized documents.
Do you know how much it costs? My bachelor's is Nigerian and I have a UK Masters too, do I need to legalize that as well?

How long does it take to legalize the documents?

Thanks

Are you going for masters..if yes you can use your Nigerian Bsc&transcript for authentication and Embassy legalization.
Embassy legalization fee now is 64,000, with 3- 4 weeks your certificate will be legalized and we can assist you in doing that if need be.
Check the attached.

You will reserve unpaid hotel accommodation for like a month, though some paid for a session accommodation in their sch hostel and this help alot, you can tell embassy you are already discussing with landlords to secure a permanent apartment through the online accommodation booking site.
You will authenticate your PCC in foreign affairs it is a must, before submission.

Unplaces is probably your best chance but you just have to be really careful of scammers. I heard someone lost 1800 euros on there. Godspeed

For the people whose visa have been granted. My questions are:
1.) Which travel insurance in Nigeria is advisable to use.
2.) Where did you book your flight reservation and
3.) How did you book your hotel reservation for people who were not able to get school hostel.
Thanks

1) I used Feather insurance - I really recommend this one
2) Ethiopian airways - you can book and print the itinerary WITHOUT paying. Very useful.
3) I just found a residence. Use uniplaces but use am sharply. Scammers are much.

I learnt that some people are even sleeping in train station. How are they bathing and coping. Chai.

I have chatted like 5 landlords, they are all saying the same thing. No vacancy, the ones that are available are expensive. Just single room o.
My resumption is next month and I've booked my flight already. This housing problem in Portugal is getting worse. Few buildings, many people.
Re: Anyone Studying In Portugal!!!! by cletz991(m): 1:42pm On Aug 02
Pay for a hostel for a week,BC border agent go ask for proof of accommodation,it also helps you settle down . Look for a house when you arrive within 1 week .It's hard getting a place from Nigeria unless you have someone here already.
Good luck
