Official: Eintracht Frankfurt unveils Raphael Onyedika🇳🇬

Onyedika will dorn the Jersey Number 25

*Culled from Frankfurt club website...

Eintracht Frankfurt signs Raphael Onyedika. The 25-year-old midfielder moves from Club Brugge to Frankfurt and signs a contract with Eintracht until 2031.

Eintracht Frankfurt and Club Brugge have reached an agreement for the transfer of Raphael Onyedika. The Nigerian international will receive a contract until June 30, 2031, and will wear the number 25 jersey.

Onyedika won the Belgian championship twice with Bruges and, in addition to the Belgian Cup and Super Cup, also won the Danish Cup with FC Midtjylland, his first club abroad.

The defensive midfielder has a total of 268 senior appearances, including 24 in the UEFA Champions League over the past three seasons. The 1.84-meter-tall Onyedika has also made 26 international appearances for the Nigerian national team, including participation in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.

During his four years in Belgium, Onyedika was consistently one of the most frequently used players. Across all competitions, he made 40, 49, 52 and 42 appearances respectively.

Sporting director Markus Krösche: “Raphael Onyedika impresses us not only with his robustness and strategic understanding of the game, but above all with his exceptional consistency. He has been a regular starter for several years and has celebrated numerous titles in Belgium. Furthermore, he possesses valuable international experience. At 25 years old, he still has great potential for development and is also an important building block for the structure of our squad.”

I think there’s a bias, Thomas Nkono is better than some of these guys , although I didn’t watch him but people who did speak very highly of him. Even Buffon said he’s the reason why he decided to become a keeper, he even named one of his child Thomas because of him
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 1:24pm On Aug 02
Not the first time he's mentioned here. But he is another special midfield talent at Arsenal who has already made his Champions league debut (even though it was a cameo of 1min+).

Likened by some to Mikel Obi and Paul Pogba
... and by some others to Abou Diaby and by further others to Thomas Partey... He is a kid that can grow into a true midfield force.

He needs no switch for now as he has only friendly games at U15 and U18 levels for England. I hope Chelle and the team moves speedily on this one before he gets officially capped at U19 level or so.

It is no wonder that the bias of the historian will be found in his ink.

I can't for the life of me understand what Oblak , Alisson and Courteous are doing there when Essam El Hadary and Thomas Nkono aren't.

It depends who is making the list,
Pele listed 5 Africans among his best players proves that some African players should be making the list.

Imagine anytime they want to rank the most skillful player in the best dribbles, they always place Okocha at number 7,sometimes below.
It's a white man's world.

A draw will see us into the semis against Niger.
My worry is the single slot allocated to WAFU B by CAF.
And why cant Nigeria host U17 or 20 AFCON? Seems that the only means by which we can qualify for World cup

Seems Josh Ogunnaike is not on your radar. He was decent yesterday. He kept things simple.

Meanwhile, the Arsenal fanbase have been singing praises of Ibrahim. They have been comparing the boy to Thomas Partey. I can see why too.

Just what i wanted to post. The money i expected was around 75m. Rumour around is saying gala wants 60 which means the issue will be on the wages.

The story about Tottenham wanting Osimhen is actually true.

Spurs have submitted a £55M bid, £5M short of Gala's evaluation.

This NFF starting Lineup get comma.

From the game, I can clearly see that #9 Abdoulaye Agbejoye is starting alongside #20 Muiz Adeleke in attack.

And #7 Samson Joshua rightly starts too. #17 Auwal Muhammad also starts alongside #15 Oraro Lucky and #10 Habila (Captain)

Defence is same. GK - Clinton, CBs - Odinaka Alfred and Subi Gift, LB Wahab and RB Olayemi.

So there is no room for Jamilu Yusuf and Hussain Adamu. That NFF Admin must be asleep.
