Aside that fact the boys are not taking the fight enough to the Ivorians.

TheSuperNerd:
CIV have the home advantage but are also good but that goal should not have stood. They all saw that handball in the box by the #9 but ignored it. African refs whenever it is Nigeria.

TheSuperNerd:
You are very ignorant because since the regionals began, Nigeria U20s have been Champions in 2022 and 2024 at the Wafu B. We also went to the U20 World Cup in 2023 and 2025. So what ignorant nonsense are you spewing??

Look, dont ever come to my mention and babble ignorant nonsense again in the manner you just did, you hear me.

Also, how is it hype to talk about another Academy's good works so far? Or are you trying to be a hater?? When I talk about BLFA, Sporting Lagos FA, FC Ebedei, Right2Win and co, it is not hype but for Grassrunners, it is hype?? Better face front and be quiet since you have nothing intelligent to say.
So even if you had to correct me, does it mean you have to do that with insults and demeaning words?

What's your problem exactly? huh

Is this how to talk to people who happens to quote you on a faceless forum.

I was harsh, yes! But I didn't exactly attack you or insult you. Please be guided, na football matter bring us here.

You said I am hyping Grassrunners and asked it in a stupidly demeaning manner. Why wont I come for you?

You think you can run your fingers so ignorantly on my mentions and get clapped for?

If you know you want to be addressed respectfully, do so first yourself instead of playing victim.

And for the records, you are indeed ignorant. At least, you have admitted how wrong you were.

NFF needs to exploit other coaches for our youth teams, recycling old ones has not been too good for us, they should also invest in our local coaches training
I just can't see how these boys will turn this around, except by a miracle
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m):
If Nigeria U20s goes on to lose this game as widely expected coz CIV are hosts and favorites plus that Burkina Faso loss really knocked us silly, then we would be missing the FIFA U20 WC (by not picking up the U20 Afcon ticket at all) in 2027.

The last time we missed an U20 WC was 2017.

My only little consolation would be the likes of Muiz Adeleke, Agbejoye, Agbonjimi (who has not gotten one minute at this WafuB), Gift Subi, Odinaka plus very few others (Habila &co) going on to progress their careers in Europe.

I really dont understand what Maikaba sees in Jamilu Yusuf and Auwal Mohammed to always wanna play them. The worst is that Wahab Musa.

But it is well. NFF Elections no far.

They are about to be dumped out just as I predicted. Nigerians especially those 50 and up born and grew up in Nigeria are just too close minded and tribalistic to be able do anything right. If I have my way stop giving this jobs to local nigerian coaches. Go get a competent foreign coach and give him the U17 and U20 job. These older Nigerian coaches are not different than the politicians who everything about them centers on corruption, tribalism and religion. Immediately i saw the squad i counted them out. The majority of the best players in Nigeria can be found in the SE (Enugu and Owerri precisely) SS (Delta and Edo precisely) Middlebeit ( Benue) SW ( Lagos/Ogun axis) and finally Kaduna. Any Nigerian youth teams i don't see majority of the players coming from SE, SS and Benue i usually don't waste my time watching them. This is the gospel truth.

Our problem is lack of football identity

Add bribing and Nepotism at the age grade football, the results is what you are seeing today.

This team game play is so abysmal
There is no sense of urgency at all in the team

Can't even begin to imagine Nigeria do not have enough talent to play Ivory coast

And besides CAF/WAFU should look into using VaR for competitions like this the ref is looking one side
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by oloriooko(m): 4:19pm On Aug 05
CIV playing good passing football going thru the MF while our boys are forced to go long
When you meet a more superior team, they expose your frailties.

While the Flying Eagles have certainly not flown today... Maikaba's coaching being so disappointing as well... The Naija U18 Basketball girls are doing well and I hope they get the win vs Tunisia.

What a close shave by Nigeria. Great cross but the header was off by inches.

Wish he gets a good team to help his development

#10 Simeon Habila proving his quality again as captain. That was a beautifully executed header.

CIV stunned. 1-1.

Why remove Samson Joshua for Agbonjimi when it is better to have 2 of them onfield bikonu? Ehnnn Maikaba. That LW nko... u for risk am naa.

Anyway, the lad in #4 is finally on and he is full of running already.

This ref is ridiculous. He blows nearly every contest in their favour. I hate when African refs do this whenever Nigeria is involved.

The ref gifted them a dangerous FK in front of our box for a non existent foul. Na wa ooo. Terrible officiating.
