Overly partial. African refs will never grow.

solonnachi:
The officiating in this game is in favour of CIV. The referee is very partial
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 5:46pm On Aug 05
The team has several flaws. Some good talents but the flaws are much. Both tactical and technical.

Maikaba has not impressed me at this WafuB at all.

AndSunGorilla:
Yes the referee made many questionable calls, however, am not impressed with the team as a unit.
Penalty is a game of luck, anyone can win.

That keeper is good but too dull for penalty kicks.

What a game
Congratulations to the team

The guy who missed that chance should handover his allowance for this game to the goalkeeper

Hopefully we win the trophy again

2026 WafuB U20 Afcon Qualifiers... Flying Eagles finally fly into the final

FT CIV 2-2 Nigeria

Naija wins 4-3 on penalties

Clinton Lawani saved 2. He has redeemed himself whole today especially after that Zongo humbling vs BFA. What a goalkeeping performance from start to finish. From regulation play to P.S.O.

But this CIV team is sleek, good passing and insightful but in the final third not potent
I lost hope cuz we have so many flaws but we can be so dangerous in all departments
Congrats to the boys! Fought from 1 goal down to win on pens

And I will admit it. I said it even before the game exploded into life... CIV were the favorites and they clearly showed why.
Leave the ref decisions aside but they were indeed the better team.

CIV were better all round but the Flying Eagles lads just showed and had more fight in them.

Yes, The Bad officiating was an eyesore. CIV's 1st goal should not have stood coz it was handball. Naija had a clear PK denied as our player was Kung-fu-ed in the box.

But frankly CIV played better. 'Were technically more composed but the fight of our boys... the grit they put up... was too much to handle for the Ivorian boys.

The team needs work but well done all the same.

Happy for the boys against the ref.

I'm still in shock about the penalty tho🤔 did he blow foul against us, or goal kick or an offside ?? Cuz honestly I no understand that part.

Still gave coach yellow ??

hopefully they’ll prepare very well and bring more talented players ahead of the Afcon, we’ve not won the U-20 Afcon in a long time, we need to win the next one

it’s possible for Ostrava to extend his contract just to add more value to the player’s transfer

With this na em be say gent or Le Havre will pay more if they wish to sign him

So only the winner qualifies for the AFCON? does that mean CIV is out? Omo this zonal qualification format for West Africa is brutal.

How do this West African French countries always look more organized and tidy in their football than their Anglo speaking counterparts? CIV, Senegal, and even Burkina Faso always play some good football at youth level and get scouted by bigger clubs compared to us.

To be honest this Caf zoning sucks , imagine this very good ivory coast team misses out because of this rubbish zoning arrangement
