Subzero047:Na Nigeria I they oh and trust me, these failings will affect Gusau and his gang. The presidency is already interested in the upcoming NFF election and they won't be backing him, same way they got involved in the recently concluded Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) election and their preferred candidate won. Tinubu nor be Buhari that never knew what was happening around him |

August 5 was all smiles when both Flying Eagles and Super Falcons played and won. But 4 days later, it is all frowns and tears. 19 shots. 9 on target. 4 big chances missed. But we got undone by just one setpiece moment. Nnadozie has been the best for a while but we did not see her best at this Wafcon 2026. Unfortunate. Up next for the girls is a date with South Africa for a WC Place.

Unless BAT systematically rig in competent people into the NFF, no way forward for our football. If these current bunch of NFF continue their tenure, e go lloooonnngg for our National teams. |

This country is very sick, and anybody that actually really cares about this country needs to get ready to save this country. Nigeria has been hijacked by the highest level of criminals. Olodo rising has taken over. Corruption, nepotism, tribalism, and criminality are now the order of the day. I have never seen every aspect of Nigerian institutions be this bad in my lifetime. Our youth teams can no longer qualify for the World Cups. Our men's team can no longer qualify for the World Cup, and now our women's team will not be at the World Cup. This country cannot continue in its current state. Everything about this country is becoming unrecognizable by the day. People of goodwill need to go and save this country. Unqualified people have taken over every sector in the country, and they are running it to the ground. I have never been political all my life, but Nigeria needs a total reset. Nigeria has always been governed badly, but there was at least some limit to some of the madness in the past. What we are currently seeing is a complete criminality enterprise running affairs, appointing their fellow criminals in important positions, and these criminals are completely wrecking the country to a level never seen before. I have heard people here talking about the election in September like anything is going to change if the people don't take this fight to the street. The NFF needs a total overhaul. Nigeria needs a total overhaul. Every aspect of Nigerian institutions needs a total overhaul. |

Nigeria football is a mess, we can’t even get anything good apart from sheer hardwork of the falcons to put some smiles on us recently. The rest of football administration has been beyond awful, this NFF are not doing anything apart from hiring chelle, they should leave, the only issue is with way the country is run from top, the people coming might be worse, no plan to develop a game that unites family and the nation, this is too sad. |

Our football score card this year. U17 female world cup ✅. Qualified. Will play in morroco in october U20 female world cup✅ will play in Poland starting on the 5th of next month. FIFA women world cup: ✅❎. nearly out but hanging on a play off thread. U17 male world cup❎ did not even qualify out of wafu. 3rd consecutive miss U20 male world cup ❎ did not qualify out of wafu. 1st miss. FIFA Men world cup ❎ did not qualify out of a easy group. 2nd consecutive miss. The men failed in all levels. Only the women are pulling their weight in football for us. Quite a shame the follower ship and money for female football is still on the upcoming stage because they deserve better things for still keeping the light of the country on. The men have let themselves go. |

Franktom247:Government doesn't need to directly invest in sport. With the right and trusted management, private companies will invest. Imagine someone like Elumelu becoming the NFF president, his personality alone would make private companies start trooping to invest with them |

Maikaba U20 coach has no solution to Burkina Faso, he's overwhelmed He has proven himself thus far, but not good enough |

oloriooko:neither are the south south Africans. They got to the quarters with a loss a draw and a win before losing to Morocco in the quarters. They clearly aren't that good enough too in this tournament as per their usual standards. It's down to luck at this point and I dont think we have had much of that going for us in football in recent times. |

Franktom247:The government, through the NSC, is doing its best. Unless there is a “coup” within the football body, it will be hard not to re-elect Gusau for a second term. Who are the electorates? State FA chairmen, representatives from the NNL, NLO and NWFL, most of whom are under the NFF. |

Amedino99:Stop hiring these Nigerian coaches. They are usually very tribalistic and regional. I would rather the NFF go and hire a Black African coach than a local Nigerian coach. Go and hire a foreign coach and let him scout for talents all over the country. Nigerians, especially those born in Nigeria, are the most tribalistic set of people you will find anywhere on earth. Once I see the lists of players on any youth Nigerian team, I can tell you the region the coach came from. |

I officially give up on Nigerian football, that hope might only be salvaged if Gusau and his board of bandits are kicked out in this September's NFF election...I'll be stupid to do another tenure of Gusau, God forbid bad thing. We've used the tropes of tribalism and nepotism to nail our beautiful game to the cross of eternal damnation and I refuse to subject my mental health to any more torture...the one Tinubu's Nigeria has served me is enough affliction. Good luck to those who still care. |
