Always note that what is displayed by GT fund managers is gross; this is always stated at the bottom of their display. You will need to remove the management fees to get the net yield.

First ally. You can withdraw 5m or more even on Saturday. I think sunday too

Stanbic is up there these days surprisingly. I think that’s the bribe for their low rates. Stanbic you get credited before u even click withdraw lol

News to me!

Where to find this info?

Gtworld or gtfundmanagers.com

Also, which MMF actually does what you see is what you get? No additional management fee, witholding tax etc

Most of us are still with Stanbic mmf, just that our bulk fund is no longer with them....

You get the point now..
Oh

I have over 50M there. I dey manage their low rate.
Re: Mutual Funds by AncestralPowers: 2:57pm On Aug 12
You are losing a whole lot of money on daily basis, you could redeem your money asap and port to another fund manager with better rates, I would suggest either Norrenberger or First-Ally. Just leave about 50k with stanbic mmf..

I so much like seeing women invest their money.......

You are right. I've told them to liquidate and move to a primary T-Bill auction.

The T-bills offered on the Stanbic Asset Management platform are from a secondary market.

is our capital really safe with this guys compare to stanbic and other commercial banks? I understand they have a better rate but I'm just skeptical
Re: Mutual Funds by professore(m): 10:30pm On Aug 12
Please how long does it take to open StanbicIBTC money market mutual trust fund account.

I have been there since the 5th of August, till now they have not opened the account.

A banker now told me it takes 5 to 6 working days to open it (another had earlier told me it takes 48hrs)

Should I just walk in, ignore the two of them and walk straight to report to the branch manager. What do you advise please somebody tell me because I am very angry with them?

Anytime GT Fund managers sends you funds performance of their various mutual funds check the bottom of the message a clause is always written there informing investors that the rate displayed are gross.

The industrial rule is that fund managers are to display net rate otherwise it should be stated just as GT Fund manager is doing.

@chelseamann, please note that the level of capital protection in a MMF is generally driven more by the fund’s structure, regulatory oversight, asset quality and risk management than by the name of the fund manager.

Once an MMF is properly regulated and has the appropriate independent parties involved which including:

- A licensed Fund Manager
- An independent Custodian Bank that is not related to the Fund Manager
- A Trustee
- SEC regulatory oversight

Ie the fund operates within a regulated framework with checks and balances. It's safe to invest in.

Therefore, no one MMF is materially safer than another simply because of the Fund Manager's name or affiliation, provided both funds are properly regulated and professionally managed.

By the way this topic have been addressed by many contributors on this thread.
You can also check my previous post on the issue of safety of investors funds in MMF.

In most cases, the choice of MMF by experienced investor, is more driven by rate, customer service, ease of portal/app navigation etc rather than name.

Oh..thanks..may have seen that...had thought you meant on the app. Anyway the apps are hardly info-rich.

May have to move most of my equity to a fixed deposit or something...need the most yield since I don't have any use for it atm.

Thanks again
