Instead of benefitting from the government, the APC government keeps removing every little help that cuts across every average citizen with their selective leadership.
If fuel was 300 naira per liter, and light is subsidized , you will enjoy the 74k with happiness.

My spouses father is a retired soldier and retired as a corporal......his monthly pension just got increased to 93k from 70k and he has been getting it regularly since last October.

So how can a level 10 civil servant say he is earning 74k,he should come out and tell us how much his gratuity was......i know someone who retired @grade level 12 as far back as 2010 and he got 12m in gratuity.

Maybe you should ask the people who worked at private companies how far and those who were more qualified than you but don't know anybody or money to get themselves fix into the government work the way you got in how far now.

The civil service is the center of corruption in Nigeria and gets the most money of the country. So stop collecting it if it is nothingto you.

am telling if nigeria had a good government and favorable environment, this country wont be this way..nigeria is filled with talents and hard workers but was channeled to the wrong direction due to hardship

Most of them can afford to do nothing. It's mostly free money. Many don't also tell the full story. Some of them are on overloan if there's a word like that, a lot of deductions from loans they got and still get.

Pension is a combination of many factors. If your father in-law was in the service for 35 years and serve in many hazard zones and all the emolument was used in calculating his pension compare to this guy that work for just 10 years.
Most people here are condemning the pay without looking at the number of years the guy work for the federal government. How many private companies paid you pension for a lifetime after just 10 years?
This guy even said that he is retiring because his other gig was giving him better pay. If he had been working for a company that pays better than the federal government with better pension for 10 years would he have had the time for other business?
you are paid what you deserve. How many Nigerian artisans e.g. bricklayers, mechanics, bus drivers etc. are retiring on #74,000. He should be grateful and thank the government for the opportunity that was given to him.

Civil Service level 14, is HND holder. For 10 years the individual had no urge to pursue additional qualification to rise.

Certain civil servants spend 20 years with only WAEC to their name and cry fowl after receiving peanut for gratuity and pension.

Who has more free time to acquire qualifications than civil servants?

I resigned last month from my Federal job after 10years and 8 months too.

Salary is just #208,977.

At level 12.

Let me face my future now than never.

I am dropping this here to encourage all of us to start up something.

I was able to do this because I started something that pays more.

I sat down and peep into my future and decided to do this and I am glad I did.

I encourage anybody who wants to resign to resifn. Nothing dey Federal civil service. Just get a viable business alternative before u resign. If I may ask, what hustle are u doing now

Not true. No level 17 will be collecting 125.
Level 17 is the peak of civil service career at Director cadre, and asides the heavy gratuity, they are entitled 100 percent of basic salary as pension. That's will be at least 400k in most government agencies on conmess.

It was big man pension when fuel was N147 a liter and a bottle of beer around N150.

Tinubu and his people made nonsense of the money.
