you can get corruption pay, if you pay millions in Abuja and you are a custom officer for example they can transfer you to apapa for two months through bribe and corruption you get money

Not true. No level 17 will be collecting 125.
Level 17 is the peak of civil service career at Director cadre, and asides the heavy gratuity, they are entitled 100 percent of basic salary as pension. That's will be at least 400k in most government agencies on conmess.

There is no corrupt free civil servant, every civil servant is in one way or the other breaking the law in order to make ends meet with the meager pay.
This is the reason for the massive looting in the civil service cuz the pension is a joke compared to some "special" civil servants like NNPC, CBN, DMO etc.
The inflation rate is far higher than the pay hence the corruption in the service
That 125k you mentioned is for a Director level now imagine what the state civil servants earn
The retired "special" civil servants can go home with what an active civil servant get as take home

My spouses father is a retired soldier and retired as a corporal......his monthly pension just got increased to 93k from 70k and he has been getting it regularly since last October.

So how can a level 10 civil servant say he is earning 74k,he should come out and tell us how much his gratuity was......i know someone who retired @grade level 12 as far back as 2010 and he got 12m in gratuity.

You spent barely 10yrs in service and your length of service and amount of monthly contributions, determine the value of your RSA balance at retirement - it is not magic. You didnt also disclose to us what you got as lump sum - pls do full disclosure. You can have more monthly pension if you had reduced the value of lumpsum that you collected. Pls stop being mischievous with information.

Its all depends on the ministry/agency one retired. A colleague of mine retired on level 14 with a gratuity of 4m and 49k pension.

no civil servant can live such life. I'm a civil servant and I know what I am going through. A level 10 civil servant earning just 126k monthly so imagine a whole 265k.

That is why I am not the usual civil servant...I was comfortable when I joined civil service and that is why I didn't plan staying beyond 10years.

I believe you. Though, I am into Agropreneurship, just that the sales doesn't come in bulk. It is what has been paying my rent and utilities since I joined the system.
