Are you aware among all the current 36 states governors in Nigeria, and the fct, only three had first class in the university.

They are

Alex oti of Abia state ( first in economics, university of port Harcourt ).

Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi state ( first class in law, Ebonyi state university )

Chukwuma soludo of Anambra state ( first class in economics, university of Nigeria, nsukka) .

Now here is the interesting part tribal haters and insecure people wouldn't want me to point out...all the three governors are all igbos.
In a country where some leaders of the nation and other parts of the country are rumored not to even have an O'level certificate, igbos are ruled by first class graduates. That's excellence.

Infact since 1999, only four governors in Nigeria had first class in the university, that is if you add Osunbor of Edo state to the list.

Omo I respect igbos. Hate them or not, envy them as much as you want, they are class above the rest tribes in Nigeria.

No wonder other Nigerians don't want them to go and have their own separate country, Biafra.

If you seriously mean that the Governor of Ebonyi State achieved a first class degree in Law, then there’s something not adding up.

Could it be Ebonyi State University awards first class as all comers affairs or did he pay his way to attend a first class in Law from the University?

I will like to know what he achieved in the Nigerian Law School because neither in speech, action or charisma does Governor Francis behave or appear like a studious, learned colleague.

I know Ebonyi people are very brilliant, I had lots of them as classmates and school-mates even as lecturers but this Governor is the worst performing Governor in South East Nigeria, nothing like the Governors of Abia and Anambra.

Having first class has not translated to a great achievement in governance. Except for Alex otti, the rest has not been exceptional

Different people with different strides. Everybody won't be or want the same. Some sections of the country prefer religious bigots as their leaders. Some prefer criminals, certificate forgers, age and family forgers as their leaders. Other prefer those who dash them free money as leaders. Some prefer men with integrity and well schooled men as leaders, unless the election is rigged to bring in criminals.

The section of the country from which these men come from prefer competent men and men with integrity, unless if it is rigged like in Abia during previous regimes. Check those whom this region support in elections.

The one of Ebonyi is in dispute.
That guy behaves like a stark illiterate.
Let’s even assume he was awarded 1st class, his performance in law school will determine if he indeed merited such honors. The law school is one place where there is little or no room for manipulation.

So not an achievement. Soludo is the ONLY one up there that Nigerians respect. And even then UNN is like a Primary School in the Wst

You are limited to your own tiny puddle of information.

Why should you even say only the SE has elected First class graduates ?

Bukola Saraki was awarded first class and graduated top of the class in his medical school in the UK.

El Rufai is a first class product of QS.

These two are the only ones I know of but I know several other governors from other states and regions attained first class in their first degrees.

Alex otti is seen as exceptional cos the level of government from his side is too low so he's a performer to them

In south west, he's on par with a local government chairman

Abia citizens have evolved to have very low expectations from their governors.

Otti isn't doing anything extraordinary and his projects are all hyped mediocre achievements when compared to other state governors in the region

Governor Ubah of Enugu is doing extraordinarily well for national standards but he doesn't have the propaganda machinery like Otti to overbloat his achievements .

I wonder why anyone will consider what Otti is doing in Abia and declare him the best governor when we have Uba in Enugu , Udem in Akwa Ibom , Otu in Cross Rivers , etc .

What Otti is beating his chest over in Abia, is not up to achievements of local govt chairman in Lagos.

Have you demanded the said excellence from your region. Among most governors your governors are among the least impactful. Imagine ruling a five plot Of land unsuccessfully that most of your people end up in others region because your region is baren of real life development.

LOL...he may be bad performing, but at the end, the issue is, when very intelligent people run for political office, they have to 'adjust' sort of , other wise people will think that they are ITK.

An american politican learned that lesson the hard way in his first ever election.

LOL...the truth is, if Igbos get biafra, it would be like Nigeria within ten years. NO, within three years.

The purpose of biafra is simple...to have access to all the oil revenue so that they can fund a fake life economy. That usually leads to massive debt, and lack of jobs and deindustrialization.

Also, all your governors are not good. For guys with first class...they haven't improved tax to gdp, the schools and hospitals are still crap and there is no massive attempt to industrialise or attract investments.

Like now, which one of those governors has attraxted refineries to his state, now that subsidy has gone?

Please, drop the tribalism, and face the cold hard reality. You do not have good leaders.Good leaders use what they have to make goods for the entire world, or provide services for the entire world.

... and the last two president of Nigeria probably didn't finish secondary school. FACTS.

What PRACTICAL use is 1st Class Degree in improving your life?

These 3 governors, did NOT use that degree to enter governors house, they use other tactics learnt outside school.

El Rufai finished with a first class honours degree too.

And as for whether Igbos are class above the other tribes, that is your own opinion.

Using 3 first class degree holders as basis for your infantile conclusion might as be used by a non-Igbo with your kind of rushed conclusion to conclude that Igbos are dumb.

Moreover, these Igbo governors were not elected to office based on their first class honours degree. And Soludo is even hated by Obidients (who are 99.9% Igbos) while Obi who finished with a 2:2 is loved. Does that also say something about the Igbos?
