This is the dark side of seeking asylum. You are not allowed to go back to the country you claim is a danger to you lol. Some Nigerians in Canada who go asylum travel to ghana and benin then sneak into Nigeria. Imagine |

The lesson is not about former refugee, but how govt of your own country refusing to build their own nation and cater for their own citizens. If they start treating you "special", nobody would treat you as outcast in foreign land . I have never heard where they disrespected nationals of UAE, Qartar, Saudi or Kuwait anywhere globally, despite they are not technological advanced nations like West. The way father treating his wife and kids, determines how neighbors will treat his wife and kids. The same USA, Canada and UK, that some people dying to go,UAE citizens refusing to go, their govt even ready to give them stipends to go and learn new way of life, they still reluctant to go. |

CJStarz:No matter where you migrate to in the world, village people can monitor you... that's why we should hold God very tight. But this man case dey very pitiful. |
| Re: Roman Slepcsik: Nearly 30 Years In Canada, Now Facing Deportation by LordLicifer(m): 12:11pm On Aug 21 |
Nickisindigo:Good question! This is what many refugees do not understand, they claim they are running from their countries, that their parents has been killed and they have no families that if they are returned to their countries they will be at risk of been killed. But as soon as they obtain residency, the first country they will go on vacation is their countries. |

enemyofprogress:If he's a permanent resident, why use a Czech passport instead of his Canadian one? If there's nothing to hide, just use the passport that matches your status. Situations like this are probably why many countries are tightening their immigration and border checks. Unfortunately, some Nigerians engage in this kind of behavior, It's also one reason many countries have become more vigilant, especially after the Trump administration put greater focus on border security and immigration. |

judewrites:This is nothing to do with his village people or God. Don't be ridicuous! He claimed refugee status in Canada by claiming that he would be killed in his country should he be returned to his country. So why travel to the same country he is at risk to be killed several times? Now tell me where God or his village people are involved in his case? Please! |

When many get PR under two years after seeking refugee. |
| Re: Roman Slepcsik: Nearly 30 Years In Canada, Now Facing Deportation by LordLicifer(m): 12:21pm On Aug 21 |
free2ryhme:Good observations. But i believe having a Canadian residency is not the same as having a Canadian passport. He would have to apply for the passport otherwise he would have to use his Chzech passport.. Another question then would be why, why? Did he not apply for a Canadian passport in the 30 years he have residency? Unless his was refused. If he had Canadian passport he would not be at risk of been deported regardless of how many times he travels to Czech. |

AdolfHitlerxXx:He does the same thing a lot of immigrants do. They run to Canada or the US, claim assylum, and then once they got the papers, they suddenly start visiting the country they claimed to be afraid of. The smart migrants on assylum claims do not go back to their countries at all. The not so smart ones do, and when they get caught, wahala dey. |

ednut1:I even heard a story online about a Nigerian who enter UK come say Boko dey pursure am. Within 2 years he was travelling back to Nigeria and arranging his marriage to a girl there, while keeping a(Nigerian) girl in the UK. It did not end well after the UK based babe found out about his naija fiancee.. |

| Re: Roman Slepcsik: Nearly 30 Years In Canada, Now Facing Deportation by nairalanda1(m): 12:39pm On Aug 21 |
Fiscus105:LOL...Qatar, Saudi and Kuwait and UAE produce more or just as much crude oil as one NIgeria or venzuela...and they have tiny populations. Saudi produces as much crude as the USA...and has about 40 million people to the USA's 300 million people These countries are building fake life on top of crude oil revenue that are more than enough for their populations . If NIgeria tried to keep up, the kind debt we go dey by now, e go surpass the one that we have right now What we should have done is used our natural resources to make exportable goods and services...that way we would have been richer pass Saudi. But the leaders you choose are people who choose to share money, not to use money strategically...that is why your country is where it is. |

| Re: Roman Slepcsik: Nearly 30 Years In Canada, Now Facing Deportation by nairalanda1(m): 12:43pm On Aug 21 |
CJStarz: judewrites:The guy lied. Simple and short, and he is reaping the fruits of his lies. Nothing like village people. You say that you wan seek assylum in Canada because your life in Czechia is in danger. SO, Canada gives you assylum, then PR, then all of a sudden you start flying back to the same country where your life was supposedly in danger...and spend time there, and even get passport? Ogas, if either of you were a Canadian immigration officer in charge of this case, wetin you go think? There is a reason why some NIgerians never go home since they relocated. Going home means getting caught out in the lies. You left Nigeria saying boko/fulani/muslims/cult, etc is after you, go to America or UK or Canada, get assylum...and then all of a sudden you are going back to visit the same country that you said they were after your life there? Ok o. The annoying thing is that the joker didn't do something like go to France or UK and take train to Prague , no detecion whatsoever. Instead he took direct flight to Czechia from Canada. Chai! |
| Re: Roman Slepcsik: Nearly 30 Years In Canada, Now Facing Deportation by Sedomogun(m): 12:45pm On Aug 21 |
Reading this story alone, you might not understand what fully transpired. He came to Canada as a refugee in 1997 and got PR. He did not proceed with the PR to get Canadian citizenship because he did not want to take the language exam. He wanted to wait till he was 55 so the exam could be waived. This means that he was still a citizen of Czech, but could no longer travel to Czech because he came into the country as a refugee. Between 2020-2021, he made several return trips to Czech to care for an ill relative. (Which he is not allowed to do because he came in as a refugee and is not yet a Canadian citizen) Since he did not have a Canadian passport, he went back to the Czech embassy to renew his passport to travel. This means he re-availed himself in his home country ( Na here wahala start) This made his PR revoked and he is now facing deportation. But the matter is still in court sha. |
| Re: Roman Slepcsik: Nearly 30 Years In Canada, Now Facing Deportation by nairalanda1(m): 12:47pm On Aug 21 |
Sedomogun:See the issue. He should not have gone back. At best, he should have stayed in Canada, make the ill relative care for himself. Or he should have LEARNT THE LANGUAGE, AND PASSED THE TEST, and gotten canadian citizenship (though it could have been revoked for lying in a way). |

First of all his own country is actually ok and I don't see any reason why he cannot move back if need be and also why didn't he apply for naturalisation since then. I actually love Prague and I would have no problem moving there. |
