4.5bn under Buhari was $10,000,000

16bn under Tinubu is $12,307,693

That’s just a little over $2M increase.
Bro, that's even generous its actually 11.8 million USD vs Buhari's 10 million USD. And you have not accounted for the usual 3% annual inflation in USD especially with US at war. That's almost 19% inflation between 2020 and today. Meaning Buhari's 10 million USD 2020 is now worth 11.940 million USD 2026
There is absolutely no increase in the allocation, merely currency devaluation.

That's the kind of financially illiterate Governors you have in Nigeria. Another Monday Okpooblo claiming genius.

Don't be ridiculous. That coastal highway will open up trillions of naira in business.

The real fraud was that 2nd Niger bridge if you ask me. Because till today, nobody has explained what exactly was wrong with the 1st Niger Bridge that they had to build a second one next to it. huh
If the main road has not opened trillions of business what makes you think its costal road that will do that. Abi people have not been travelling from lagos to calabar and back before tinubu costal road

You guys keep erroneously turning logic on its head.....that's extra $2m monthly, that's $24m extra per annum.....let's even agree with you for the sake of argument that these figures are marginal......states don't access fx at the cbn rates, the dollar wasn't available anywhere at that rate..... The parallel market rate as @ 2022 was 800 naira to a dollar,do ur 4.5 billion under buhari was $5.6m.
So Buhari became president in 2022?

What was exchange rate from 2015 to 2023.

You guys are impossible.

You’re surprised that despite how bad Buhari administration was, Tinubu’s is ten times worse. And you guys are blaming the rubbish of Tinubu on Buhari?

Let’s assume exchange rate was 800, Tinubu pushed it as high as 2000 in his first few months and now sits at 1300. That’s still over 60% increase from what Buhari left it.

We are not in America, Mr Man.

We don't pay for everything we do in dollars, so take that nonsense away.

Many of these projects are being paid for in Naira to indigenous contractors.

ALSO, in addition to the standard monthly allocation, the FG distributed a special ₦435 billion infrastructure and security intervention fund to state governments during the first half of 2026 alone to support state projects.

The vastly increased number and scale of infrastructural projects in all the states is clear evidence of VASTLY INCREASED allocation from Abuja, so go and sit down with this your fake calculation. The FG is PUMPING the states with money to build up their infrastructure.
And the local contractor will pay for his imports in naira and force his local suppliers to accept the same naira payment ten years ago today

Unfortunately, 16 billion naira today was worth approximately 4 billion naira in 2023, given that naira was devalued by more than 75 percent. This means that realistically, his state was receiving more in quantity and value in 2023 than in 2026. He knew this fact anyway, but politics must be played.

He's not talking about spending in dollar terms. He's talking about the value of the money. He's using dollars to tell you what 4.5 b can buy then and 16 b can buy now.

He didnt increase sh**t he gave u guys money to eat while the masses surfer the brunt undecided

Please tell me the project u have executed with the money, inflation wont allow u either. Tinubu give u 100 naira come make am difficult for to buy anything good with 100 naira cheesy

Anybody defending this is either eating from it, a tribal bigot and an empty scull cuz everyone feels the heat from poor to rich.

Either Atiku or Obi will actually reduce that allocation because they need more money to share the poor lazy masses

Whatever infrastructure that governors has used their increased allocations from subsidy removal to construct in their states data on ground has shown it hasn't improved the standard of living of most nigerians in the past 3yrs of tinibu's rule rather more nigerians has been plunged deeper into multi dimensional abject poverty making nigeria to be ranked as the poverty capital of the world while governors their family members and their political associates has become extremely more richer.

What about the inflation he also raised with his policies??

That 4.5billion diring PMB will most likely have higher purchasing power than the 16billion.

In all of which states

There is no road to pass in edo state as we speak

People are sleeping 3 days on the road

Una go just wear tinubu logo for head park una brain for house

Governors are looting money that made life simpler for Nigerians

Tinubu is not fixing important road but using hitech
To clean money with irrelevant roads

You don't compare the figures under Buhari and Tinubu, they are of the same party. Compare with last PDP regime of Jonathan and you will know that Nigeria progressively went backwards. It is all now paper money, more figures and less value.

Rampant corruption apart, they're actually spending more on salaries then than now, because the value of a 30,000 minimum wage then is bigger in value but less in quantity than a 70,000 naira minimum wage today - compare the inflation rates between then and now. More so, unlike before, when the state governments usually sourced and secured loans independently in almost all instances, today the federal government secures them on their behalf directly and indirectly and willingly or unwillingly and shares the burden with them.

Actually, I don't like to get involved in a fruitless political discussion like this on this forum.

Ask yourself a key question

"Was the ordinary Nigerian better off with ₦4.4bn of purchasing power in 2022 than with ₦16bn today?"

Massive cumulative inflation and the sharp devaluation of the naira mean that ₦16 billion today buys substantially fewer goods and services than ₦4.4 billion did in 2022
Re: Tinubu Raised Our Allocation From ₦4.5 Billion To N16 Billion - Nassarawa Gov by Utchman1: 10:35am On Aug 22
16 billion naira today will actually do less than what 4.5 billion could do before Tinubu's coming.

A bag of cement was 3500 and is now 12500.
A piece of 12mm rod was 4500 and is now 12500.

So, of what use is the increase really?

For those of us who ply that Abuja-Keffi road to look at our farming investments, the construction of that flyover is a MAJOR MAJOR deal. Where would Nasarawa government have got money to do that twin flyover?
