All this bull season, bear season, uptrend, downtrend, trend reversal, bullflag, trading the breakout, double bottom, double top, Candle sticks pattern etc.

can't make you money in the long run. You may be lucky for a period of time, when your luck runs out, that's when the reality sets in then you'll start blaming Israel vs Iran bomb, the innocent village people, your brain would start conjuring conspiracies as to while your system and strategy isn't working.

You'll Begin changing strategies, bombarding your screen/ chart with unnecessary lagging indicators, you'll use stochastic, 7 different exponential moving average, 15 different trendlines for different time frames, you'll add Bollinger bands, you'll carry ichimoku kinko and add, as if that's not enough you start drawing one thing called Fibbonaci Sequence with the Fibbonaci tool, beating your chest that this abracadabra that you did will determine where the price will go.

In the end you'll get disappointed when you enter buy or sell and immediately the price reverse opposite your prediction to directly hit your stop loss .

If Yes, then this post is for you:

Technical analysis (price action or SMC) alone is not enough. If you want to be profitable in the long run.

A trading system alone is not enough. If you want to be profitable in the long run.

To be profitable in the long-run, you hv to 1st chose a mkt.
Conduct cycle analysis on that mkt (NOTE: A clear understanding of the Properties of mkt cycles, like Egnr. Hurst's 5 principles of cyclicality are required for proper analysis).

Secondly & most importantly, pick a system, use the cycles generated by your chosen mkt (priority should be given to the cycle with the highest frequency) to conduct a Draw-down analysis of that system (NOTE: An understanding of the concept of portfolio heat, in Banking & Finance is also required for proper analysis).

Finally, use the results of the cycle analysis & Draw-down analysis to conduct a live trading, in that already selected mkt & system.

I hear you oo, but will take you serious if your 5 years results in % profit beats the s and p 500 5 years results in % profits.

Before you see any serious pull back here BTC will get to 93k and all alts will significantly be up too. Bull season or bear are all just rubbish! You have said it all. I pity those who refuses to avoid futures. You will end up getting burnt unnecessarily. Pick your portfolio carefully and wait for right moment to offload your bag.
