Before the emergence of the Saudi league and even the Chinese league as retirement league where veterans and few money hungry young talents move to grab mega money for financial stability it was Turkey and the MLS then

No serious footballing talent balling hard moves to Turkey if not towards retirement. Years back players playing in Turkish league aren’t taken serious

Jay Jay even said it in Mikel’s podcast that the reason he moved to fenernache then was because of the huge offer he got which other interested clubs couldn’t match. He also said he had to grab the offer without thinking twice to enable him get stabilised financially but had plans of not playing there for a long period and he was lucky his plans worked out as PSG came calling after spending 2 seasons in Fenerbache

Ghana has Semenyo at Man city already, even Kudus at Tottenham.

No single Nigerian in the Super Eagles set up plays for a top 5 prem team, sad.

Osimhen is the only player in that league that deserves his place in the national, Onuachu’s case is also different because he is in his 30s and need to be financially stabilised heading towards the end of his career. As for others they re just waste men

Arokodare earned my respect for turning down Trapzonspor who were ready to sign him outright from Wolves for over 20m euros even when English club did everything possible to frustrate him into accepting the move but he stood his ground and refused

Same goes to Moffi who insisted on moving to Hamburg where I know he will earn less than what was on the table for him to move to Samsunspor or Besiktas

As a player not making it in the epl or any of the top 5 leagues in Europe doesn’t stop you from testing yourself in others but a good number of our players run to Turkey immediately they fail to establish themselves in any of the big leagues

We had osimhnen that Chelsea were interested in 2 years ago and possibly arsenal now. All he has to do is reduce wages but Nigerians are encouraging to remain at not not realizing that osimhen has more to lose by playing at Turkey than big clubs for purchasing. These yes-men doesn't realize that if you're in peak physical condition, you can always generate Millions of Dollars at lower level league in your latest 30's. The same nonsense that okocha did playing at Fenarbache at his prime instead of much bigger club

Burnley has also shown appreciation for the Al Ittihad striker, while seeking to bolster its attack for the promotion battle.

One to watch in the final week of the window.

🗞️ @RudyGaletti

No team without the majority of their players playing in top 5 clubs in the world can win the World cup,it can only happen by chance.

Even AFCON,if we don't have at least one of our best players playing for one of the top clubs, winning AFCON will be very difficult for us to win.
If they like, make they still dey encourage Osimhen to remain in Turkey

I've not watched the jay jay interview on Obi's podcast but I read that he said that modern footballers are taught the game unlike the raw natural talent of players during their time.

I'm watching Kanu. He had two unique moves. The slow C- curve and the quick left right or right left interchange of the ball on his feet. Just sheer beauty.
