Yesterday, Atiku disowned Paul Ibr for saying Atiku intended to reintroduce and withdraw subsidy after some time. Atiku insisted he was bringing back subsidy. Kenneth Okonkwo had said Atiku did not believe subsidy should exist since it is our product.

Atiku and his team have not properly articulated this subsidy talk. In my view, they should drop it. Atiku is not exactlu someone trustworthy. He has been in government and his records on privatisation, power sector reforms, and economy are extremely poor.

Why giving people other alternatives, why can't govt make fuel subsidy implementation efficient, transparent and accountable rather outright removal of only good thing Nigerians benefitted from govt.

What else is essence of govt if not to maintain laws and order, provide public goods and services (this is where fuel, electricity, education and healthcare subsidies come) in in affordable manner.

However in Nigeria, govt does not maintain laws and order - insecurity is order of the day, govt does not provide public goods and services such as subsidy for fuel, electricity, healthcare and education - resulting to high fuel price, high electricity tarrif, high cost of getting healthcare and high cost of getting university education.

I can't remember the last time that I presented my FSL, GCE "O" and "A" levels certificates in any interview. Even higher certificates at our level in most cases are for formality. Several times I have resumed senior jobs before putting up applications to just formalize the appointment.

At very high level what you have done gives you the job and not your paper quality. That's how it works in developed economies.
