Same as "constitutional supreme leader."
It's a name that exists only in the lexicon, but is illogical in its totality.
In reality, a constitutional king exists only as a symbolic or traditional role.
In instances like King Charles, they preserve the TRADITION that gave birth to the state.
But tell me, which Igbo tradition ever had a KING?

grin grin grin
This guy is having high blood pressure and an emotional melt down just because one man calls himself king.

Ibobland was subjugated by the Bini, Igala and Ekpe .

You might have had semblance of what may pass as a king but after the centuries long subjugation, any one amongst you who rose to claim the position of king was seen as an usurper and rebel by the external powers.
I am not Igbo.

Good, i am glad you agree you have nothing sensible to add.

Now, i am going to leave you to carry on with your irrelevant ridiculous emotional melt down and rant over a mention of the word KING.

You must have a phobia with the word king.

But you are wrong that a king must have absolute powers.

You were not permitted to have kings because a subjugated people are a vassal to a powerful external authority.

This is the main reason you never had kings because the Bini Oba , Attah of Igala and Obong of Calabar had carved out Iboland for themselves.

The Binis raided Anambra down to present day Imo. The Bini warriors will later become the Ikwere people of today in PHC .

The Attah controlled all of Enugu , parts of Anambra and Ebonyi .

While the Ekpe cultists under the Obong of Calabar controlled most of Abia, parts of Ebonyi.

Any Ibo who dared to raise himself up as king was seen as an usurper to the three greater external authorities.
Oh please so many part of Igbo land had kings
Asaba , onitsha.Nri and aro plus many more places

Nri empire had many kings , nze and Ozor

The igbo man is too much of god to have an absolute king it’s not in our nature not at all

An absolute monarch is a king.

What you have is a representative spokesman
Name a king today with absolute power

You are saying exactly what I am saying.
But refusing to put it in the way it's supposed to be: YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT KINGS ARE.
You never knew, don't know, and won't know.
This man is not a king. He is just the biggest boy in the community who wants to show off what he has accumulated in Port Harcourt.

Onitsha was never ibobland .

Even the Obi Onitsha will tell you that his origins is Bini

Same thing with the Asagba who claims dual heritage of Bini and Igala.

The only reason they speak ibo is because the warriors who settled there took Ibo women and girls as trophies.

The offsprings of these children were raised in the tongue of their mothers but they kept the traditions of their fathers.

Take Ekpe and Ngwa land which was once Ibibio and Effik land .

Ibobios are even considered by Effiks as originally mainly Ibo until heavily intermarriage by Effik men with Ibo women hence why the Effik gave them the name Ibibio .

In Nnsuka, they do not hide the fact that their ruling authority is the Attah of Igalaland.

Nnsuka are also heavily mixed with Igala blood.

Kings have been removed and killed even in history in England and France notably.
Don't mind those mow runs they believe a King owns them and everything they have. cheesy

Ignorance, not knowing that a whole country, village or kindred made the king. And they can remove the king when they want.

The obsession that Igbos have with the word "king" is way off the mark.
grin grin grin

With one breath, they claim that they respect no one and bow to no one.
With another breath, everyone who can have at least 2 nwa boys, one highlander, and a very plump wife (physically overweight) at home who is maltreating a househelp, will automatically coronate himself as king.

That is why no one sends their kingship. Even them sef no dey send their kingship.
If a person in the north is mistakenly turbaned as sarki, even if it is sarkin dariya, the government will immediately recognize the person and accord them the necessary honor. That is because they know what royalty is. But as for the Igbos, royalty is a joke. That is why we can have four kings on one street. Since they all have highlander, overweight wives, and abussed househelps.
grin grin grin
The igbos responding to this guy should stop. Look at how he is weeping your sentiment and you dancing around with him. When you guys wake up and stop having this victim mentality

There's no king today on any part of this earth who still retains their absolute authority.

But their role as the cultural custodians and face of their people remains greater than ever in today's world.

You never had a king and it is an insult to kingship to see how you all abuse the title

In case you don't know, recognition of traditional rulers comes exclusively from state laws, which gives them that customary influence.
Your people don't recognize it, so they give everyone the title; that is why the government doesn't recognize any of your kings.

Your meaning is surely not government terms it to be.
Maybe a king is synonymous with a clown, in your context.

So, sure, I am wrong.
