https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9b4MhC8JDg?si=4ERljAOnEljIo8v_ Nigerian nurse gives details about the doctors’ strike in Anambra State during Peter Obi’s tenure as governor and how the state didn't notice they were on strike because all the mission hospitals are well equipped and active. “Yes, doctors went on strike for 13 months under Peter Obi as governor. I was in school then as a student nurse, so I witnessed what happened. Back then, the Federal Government introduced a salary structure called CONMESS and CONHESS. The FG said state governments should implement it based on the resources available to them. In Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi said he would implement 60% of the agreement, but the state doctors rejected it and insisted on 100%.» At the time, he said the healthcare and education sectors were in shambles, so he focused on improving mission schools, medical facilities and dental services, while equipping them to standard. He also said there were no reports of mass casualties during the strike, meaning the absence of the doctors was not felt as much because mission hospitals had taken over healthcare services across the state.” — Nigerian nurse gives details about the doctors’ strike in Anambra State during Peter Obi’s tenure as governor

That guy Obi hardly sets foots wrong... I encountered obi, not in person when I went to Anambra state to do pre-science during his time... I saw a particular road which is easier to just reconstruct by tarring and the people will hail him.. Instead he began to break buildings ND houses clos to the roads in a bid to expand them into double lane and also create another Interconnected road linking it in that direction... I just knew this one don't like cheap praise but loves development..since then I kept following him till date ND have never been disappointed.. I completely trust most of his decisions |

What manner of rubbish is this from obidients this is the highest level of hypocrisy ever witnessed in this country. Obi couldn't fulfil the agreements reached with the health workers and he had to make then go on strike fo 14 whole months, same way he irresponsibly refused to hold LG elections for 8 yrs and this obidients are trying to prep up the devil to look like an angel. Can sanwo olu try that or zulum or mbah in enugu and obidients wouldn't be calling for their heads on a spike, same obidients are attacking tinubu for making it possible for govs to be able to pay workers salaries and pensions as at when due but obi can be excused for owing same workers salaries for years. Another ludicrous airheaded thinking is making the retarded argument that mission hospitals were well equipped by obi while the state owned one's laid comatose, are mission hospitals the responsibility of the state govt......how many Muslim hospitals were amongst those obi equipped and funded under his calamitous policy of begrudging the doctors. Are obidients these slow? |

Here's The Summary You Need: FG under Yar'Adua implemented a new salary structure for healthcare workers. States had flexibility on full or partial implementation. Peter Obi chose partial implementation, so that he could invest more funds on improving healthcare infrastructure and service delivery. Doctors disagreed. They wanted a 100% salary increase for themselves. PO agreed to a 60% salary increase, so the state could invest more money on healthcare infrastructure and services. Doctors insisted on a 100% salary increase and went on strike. PO couldn't do both at the same time, so he prioritized investing in infrastructure and service delivery, because the healthcare system was crumbling. He proceeded to renovate and upgrade facilities of mission-owned hospitals, schools of nursing, schools of midwifery, dental clinics, and schools of health technology. The schools got their accreditations within this period, and mission-owned hospitals were functioning effectively. This is why, despite the 13-Month strike, healthcare service delivery in Anambra continued to function normally. Excellent job. This is a leader whose number 1 priority is the people. |

Nigerian with emotional mindset and affliations. You are giving out this story to favour Peter obi candidature. How can you justify a leader of a state not been able to resolve crisis that is related to health for more than a year. Hmmm. I believe if Doctors should go on strike for 12 months under Tinubu or any Governor apart from their side they will get numerous living room studio section in series. Hmmm. God will show you people that he doesn't look by sight alone and God cannot be mocked. |

This is not the flex you think it is. For a state government to prioritize missionary institutions over state institutions says a lot and paints a vivid picture of bigotry. |

I'll be prepared to cut Obi some slack if it can be proven that the mission hospitals were subsidized to be as cheap as govt hospitals I remember it was around same time Fashola sacked all the doctors in Lagos state Both are irresponsible behaviours but that of Obi can be understood in the context of available resources and of course if the mission hospitals were well equipped and affordable |

Laptop boys will feel disgruntled because the content is not what they're expecting, so they'll call the nurse obidient..... truth is, laptop boys knows that obi is the perfect person to handle Nigeria if it was their personal property.... because there will be great accountability and good management system |

Why did Peter Obi receive over 70% votes in 2027? It's simply due to tribalism. We have seen several monikers who pointed out the poor governance of Obi when he was the governor but today, the same Obi is the Messiah The fraudulent packaging of Peter Obi can never work. I guess this person was in coma through out the last election to dispute this. The same Peter Obi who confirmed the strike saying there was no mass dead. Tufiakwa |

I’m sure she was cussing him out at that time. Even the doctors who were on strike are now Obidients likewise the numerous monikers that insulted him here and on other social media platforms. If Peter Obi was contesting against two other men from same tribe as him, nobody would be Obidient today, yet the Yorubas are the tribalists. 13 months strike is proof that the then governor isn’t a good negotiator which is proof of a bad leader. |

Obi couldn't have been heartless to yank off fuel subsidy in the manner Emilokan did without providing social safety net for the vulnerable if he were a president. Is Tinubu's initial credibility compared to the status quo? How many Nigerians still want him sincerely as a president for second term today? If free and fair election is given a chance today can he win? |

Lol... Obidients are trying so hard to do damage control. She said Mr Lamba was busy equipping missions schools and hospitals ( that belongs to the church) , while neglecting public schools and hospitals for which he was allocating millions for in the budget. When someone only brags about saving money while other public institutions and infrastructure deteriorate. An unwise man. #NoVacancyInAsoRock -Kiss the truth! |

I like how we are holding Obi to his blovkos this election cycle. But if our mumu no do, extend this energy to ALL CANDIDATES and decide before you vote. We are not unaware of what Tinubu told Fashola to do as Governor, to sack them when they went on strike. I can't forget that time in Lagos. Tinubu Told Fashola To Sack Striking Doctors (throwback) https://www.nairaland.com/7244787/tinubu-told-fashola-sack-striking#115046458 Bola Tinubu made his public declaration instructing Governor Babatunde Fashola to sack the striking doctors on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at the MUSON Centre in Onikan, Lagos. The declaration was made during an official Lagos State Government stakeholder meeting with Christian religious leaders. Bola Tinubu told fashola to sack striking doctors for demanding pay rise in 2012 https://www.nairaland.com/7281912/tinubu-told-fashola-sack-striking#115717624 But that's already gone. That's in the past. I want you to also examine APC's antecedent. Despite Yar'Adua dying in office and ACN back then condemning waste of public money on the president, what did Buhari do? Why has your current president kept his travels to France a secret? Why do they not disclose this information? If you want privacy, don't be a public officer. But humour me, Femi Adesina stated that former President Muhammadu Buhari could have long been dead if he had relied on Nigerian hospitals instead of seeking medical treatment in London. Don't forget that Buhari promised not to travel abroad for health reasons but died at The London Clinic
