Papi85:Mike Emenalo over Seyi Olofinjana but Seyi Olofinjana as NFF secretary would be cool...I don't know maybe Emenalo is keen,if he is not then Seyi Olofinjana who i think is readying go by his interview with Charles Anazodo, well government might be thinking in another direction. |

Papi85:If they don't think that Olofinjana is not experienced enough, it will be easier to get him to run for it. But Emenalo is definitely everyone's first choice, but to leave Saudi Arabia will be hard. |

I bet with everything that the incoming NFF president is from the North |

Sugarboyy:Government should try and convince Mike Emenalo....Kunle Soname is a business man who would not have much time for NFF job,yes he is the owner of Remo star but he delegate responsibilities to his men,NFF job is tougher and he must be on ground running things. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mujtahida: 5:59pm On Aug 27 |
Napoleon55:Emenalo should stay away oo. They will stain him. Mikel obviously has interest but he's said it repeatedly that he cannot work with the current structure. That's a wise move. The mistake we make in Nigeria is that we think people are the problem. Yes people are the problem but they are not the problem. The problem is that the entire structure, system and ecosystem of Nigerian football is infected and has to be reformed. If that is not done it will be a case of pouring water inside a basket. The water might be clean but the basket leaks. If Emenalo is to come, let him come and do surgical work. Put in structures and create an ecosystem within a strict two year timeline like on a contract basis. Do it and hand over. |

Mujtahida:Reason why government made sure they all resigned so that next election will not hold. They are aware of what you said about the structure and ecosystem of Nigeria football....the reform committee is coming up to provide enabling structure for incoming NFF board. |

Go to Morocco for a three week working visit. Get their template, tweak it and apply it here. We need system thinking, system solutions, system organization. |

Kog45:It's time. What we lost in not qualifying for the two world cups is unquantifiable. Our players are scrubbing the bottoms of mid teams. Our sport's journalist lost opportunities for engagement. Nigerian children are growing without memories of great footballing exploits. Not good at all. |

Kog45:Silvio Berlusconi was Italian prime minister and was also the owner of AC Milan. He handled the both jobs well. Most of the CEO's of clubs in Europe are business men who never had anything to do with football and they are doing well. If we need to start taking sports as businesses, I think business men must not be exempted from heading our sport Federations |

Mujtahida:Even in far more developed and advanced countries where structures works, some people still fails in their task. So people are part of the problems even though I totally agrees with you that weak structures are the most problems Nigeria as a country is facing |

Mujtahida:Abeg Make our ex players stay away for now they too are part of the problem and if any of them get the post the others will gang up against him! We just need a sound administrator who is truly passionate and not after megabucks, perhaps someone with deep pockets! Let’s not be deceived there’s so much money that goes into our national teams and that’s what most of our ex players are after. Even if an emenalo comes in his fellow ex mates will do everything to pull him down as they will see him as an enemy to their hustle |

Sugarboyy:The NFF act actually the fundamental problem of Nigerian football. The national assembly should legislation to enact a new law barring state government from controlling and managing football. All states football clubs should be privatized to 80%. All stadiums should be sold if possible to the new private investors along with the clubs. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Sugarboyy(m): 6:55pm On Aug 27 |
forgiveness:Same government built and established most of these clubs. You don't expect the Godswill Akpabio stadium built by Akpabio as governor using the whole Akwa Ibom tax payers money to be given to a private individual. And don't also forget most stadiums in Nigeria built by both state and federal government isn't only about football, other sporting activities are carried out in these stadiums and they can't sell it to just a football club. That stadium own go hard |

Mujtahida:The bolded is a fallacy the colonial master made you believe. Who governed Mali empire, Oyo Empire, Borno Empire, Ife empire, Ijebu kingdom and several Yoruba city states, NRI Kingdom, Aro Confederacy, Kingdom of Nembe, Kingdom of Bonny, Kingdom of Opobo, Kingdom of Calabar, Onitcha Kingdom etc before the British expenditures? Do not let them lie to you. Black man taught the world civilization. Now, ask yourself, why were all these different ethnic groups lumped together to form one country? For easy manipulation and extortion. That's what you are seeing today. |

When I compare the transfer fees of players who are significantly inferior to Osimhen, I concluded that the asking price Napoli was looking for and his wage demands were not the primary reason why some EPL clubs did not come for him. Aston Villa just paid Chelsea 65 million pounds for Nicolas Jackson. He is a significantly better striker than Jackson. The main issue, I believe, is his strong personality and agbero way of handling conflicts. What we are actually seeing in public is likely a glimpse of what he is like behind closed doors. I strongly believe that some of these clubs have received internal reports about his character, and they simply do not want to deal with those issues. I am not trying to paint Victor black here, rather this seems to be the only logical reason why a world class striker like him is currently wasting his talent in Turkey. |

forgiveness:State governments can't sell stadiums built for public use because football is not the only sporting activities that occurs in most of the stadiums. Private clubs can collaborate and built theirs or for the main time, government can lease the football field to the private club's. |

Goke7:How are they going to gang up against him? Through social media, through politics, or through board meetings? And what if anyone gangs up against him, does that guarantees that he must fail? Any important administrative office is bound to have enemies and oppositions, does it stop people from vying for those offices for fear of conspiracy, jealousy and envy? Keshi was an ex international but he succeeded,so was Amuneke and Siasia, each of them encountered several problems, not just gang up from their fellow ex mates but within the NFF itself, but it does not stop them from trying to achieve what they could. Emenalo is a qualified administrator, if he is willing, he should not be discouraged because he was an ex internationals. |

forgiveness:Boss, we are saying the same thing but in different ways. We are both deliberating what would be the best for Nigeria sports. With my idea of how politics and government works, I'm telling you that no matter what, most state governments can partially sell of their clubs, with the state retaining like 10-20% ownership, but they will hardly let go or sell their stadiums. Do you know why? Because firstly they built it with tax payers money, secondly most of these stadiums are used by the citizens in all sports and lastly which would be the number one hindrance, these same citizens might not support the state governments. A case study is what has been happening in Edo State, my State. There is an EDO HOUSE located in V.I Lagos, own by Edo State government. The building contributes absolutely nothing to Edo economy as at today and even when the governor's have tried to sell it off and use the money to build maybe a Benin City Mall in Edo State, it has always been protests upon protests 🪧. Again, I don't know much about Ibadan but you see Edo State? No governor would dare wake up and for whatever reasons says he wants to sell the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium. |
