You forgot to add security to his calamity tenure. It was during his time as Anambra state governor Evans became more notorious, how about the Sars Akwuzu division killing the Massob members at will on the order of the state governor?

Majority of those who are promoting Peter Obi are tribal bigots
The last part about Bigotry is beginning to sound like a lie you people like to believe. In my majority yoruba, middle to upper class estate, Obi won. Just as He won Lagos. There was no bigotry there.

Obi is not sound at all. I have not seen what those who are promoting him see in him. Common interview questions he can't answer properly. His tenure as a governor was a monumental failure yet he was telling us he wanted to develop Nigeria the way he developed Anambra state. For eight years no local government elections, for months schools were on strike, for eleven months hospitals were on strike. He still came on air to say even though hospitals were on strike there was no mass death. Obi is daft

I believe you are being sarcastic 😂, if no then I could clearly see why Obi has followers.

How do one call this 'building bridges'?

He is yet to inaugurate his own campaign but can gatecrash another aspirant's inauguration?

If it is Dickson that attended that inauguration, you people would have nailed him to the cross and labelled him betrayer.

If we are to be sincere with ourselves, we will agree that Obi is not ready for the office and Nigeria is not ready for Accidental president.
Good response to that kid.. they’re Hypocrites!

As you stated, imagine if it was Dickson, or other parties top gun that did this same thing, you can imagine the reaction - people will say it’s Anti-Party!

I'm certain Dickson would be run Obi out of town as the elections near, knowing Seriaki I can estimate things would become drastic soon.

He wanted to create the illusion of solidarity and to deceive the gullible that he is not a bitter man.

Is there a coalition between him and Seyi Makinde? Is Dickson aware?

Since Peter Obi is doing a one-man show, let Kwankwaso do the same as should Dickson. Instead of Peter Obi to constitute a team to produce a manifesto, he is doing truancy. One of his followers said he had travelled all over the world and had seen how things are done and would not put them in a manifesto so no one would copy him. Just imagine.

Obi, you are clearly not busy. You keep jumping from one place to another, attending events no one invited you for. You have not constituted state coordinators for your party, you have no campaign theme, you have no strategic messaging. You surround yourself with content creators and buffoons who cannot even pass any sensible message beyond insults, you have no political advisors to point you in the right direction. You act like you can do it alone and end up doing nothing commendable.

Please, what experiences do Idris Zekeri Jnr, Precious Ogheamara Oruche (POO), Peter Akah and Justice Crack have in politics? Their strengths are in protests, which have accomplished nothing.
This are the kind of moves obi makes that made Datti and some close associate of obi decided to distance themselves from him

Am 💯 sure Dickson, Kwankwaso and some big fish in NDC won't welcome this moves. They won't say anything now, just wait till NDC suffers electric defeat, na dat time dem go take their mind

Peter Obi is just interested in being a sole candidate for the opposition and getting Makinde, Bala et Al to support him, his major problem is Atiku, if he can get the northern power players to undermine Atiku that's his game plan but he is not a character they have a long term relationship with.

They have no historic confidence in him, they can't guarantee that "agreement is agreement" in the words of Wike

Sentiment apart this is not how to build bridges in politics, this is foolishness at its peak. How can you be attending your opponent inauguration vying for the same seat and goal as you.

You build bridges with potential heavyweight that is not in race with you but can really support your ambition through throwing the allegiance for you. GSM is in that to show not winning per se and he cannot st this juncture or in future step down for PO.

But I understand why PO is doing this he's not ready to win the election but atleast to contest and be on the ballot paper, that was his mentality and all his actions attest to that just like this one. Exactly why Gheghe called him last time that he has to change his mentality but it seems stuck in just be content contesting.

So Obi attended the inauguration of Gov Makinde presidential bid in Abuja yesterday, could someone make it sensible to me what was Peter Obi doing in such function when it's not that NDC and APM have some coalition pact together?

There is not even seriousness, strategy or plans by Obi about his presidential ambition.

STORYLINE:

Nigeria's former anti-corruption czar, who won international acclaim for seeking charges against members of the oil-rich nation's political elite, was chosen on Friday as the presidential candidate of the country's strongest opposition party.

Nuhu Ribadu's entry into the race comes hours after the nation's ruling People's Democratic Party overwhelmingly endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan in a primary election decided just before dawn on Friday.

The two will likely be the strongest competitors in the April 8 election.

Since the handover in 1999 from military rule to a civilian government, the PDP has dominated politics in Africa's most populous nation.

Ribadu's candidacy received a resounding "yes" vote during a convention held on Friday afternoon in Nigeria's commercial capital of Lagos, the power base of the opposition party.

The former police official became the party's candidate after two other presidential aspirants - former Sokoto state governor Attahiru Bafarawa and Mallam Seidu Malami - withdrew from the race at the primaries convention.

"It is clear that the ruling party is on its way out," Ribadu told delegates.

Ribadu served as the head of the country's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission under former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

First appointed in 2003, Ribadu began investigating the powerful politicians who populate the country's ruling party.

While Ribadu won international support for fighting graft in a country considered as one of the world's most corrupt, others criticised him for only pursuing the perceived political enemies of Obasanjo.

He also once estimated that corruption had cost Nigeria - a nation where most people live on less than two dollars a day - more than 380 (b) billion dollars since it gained its independence from Britain in 1960.

The consensus candidate said he would prioritise the war against poverty if he became the president. Borrowing from US President Barack Obama's campaign slogan, Ribadu told delegates: "It is time for us to say 'Change has come."'

Ribadu saw his political fortunes wane after the election of the late President Umaru Yar'Adua in 2007.

Ribadu left Nigeria for the US after he said he was the target of a drive-by shooting.
2011 is not a new playbook. It was first done in 2003 with Atiku.

Prior to the April 2011 election, the ACN was trying to broker a last-minute northern opposition alliance with Muhammadu Buhari's party, the CPC. When those talks collapsed, Tinubu and the ACN leadership realized that Nuhu Ribadu could not win the presidency on his own.

To protect his political empire, Tinubu met with Goodluck Jonathan. Tinubu's part of the deal was that the ACN would stop supporting Ribadu. Instead, they would secretly tell their followers in the South-West to vote for Jonathan for president. In return, Jonathan promised that the federal government would not rig or steal the state governor elections. He would let the ACN win and rule the South-West.

I don't know who's advising him. You wake up in the morning and carry your 2 legs to attend occasions you're not Invited. I don't just understand. Doesn't he have self respect?

Let him attend ADC program carelessly without an Invite and see if his brother, Ken okonkwo would give him recognition and microphone to speak.

Obi's not presidential in his approach to things. He should respect himself. I mean some levels of dignity. He doesn't have to be seen everywhere especially where he's not invited.

How is the worst rogue politician not worse than an entertainer?

The Lagos landlord who increased the state budget 100 times to N4.2 trillion from higher tax burden on people but failed to employ well paid teachers and other workers to make education free for all children and water available to all houses? What is Tinubu doing with all the trillions apart from stealing it?

The worst rogue politician who saved billions of dollars on subsidy removal, announced end to borrowing because he hit higher revenue target in August but has borrowed more than PDP presidents who gave us cheap petrol and cheap dollars with widespread prosperity, peace and security.

What is Tinubu doing with his solo 53% of the federation account if he is owing federal workers, owing pensioners, owing contractors, rolling over budgets since 2024 and making roads worse than when we had cheap petrol? What is the a-looter progreThief doing with our money?

What Tinubu and APC can’t destroy does not exist.
11 years of change and 3 years of reform with subsidy removal TWICE along with huge debt cum tax burden on people, why should we have roads worse than when PDP gave us cheap petrol and cheap dollars without piling up debt?
