Arsenal is just bullying everyone in the Prem now. It is not fair. Why did Pep have to leave now? 😂 I dont even know who is gonna challenge you guys. Let me be observing Maresca's Man City especially now that they have got in real midfield "avengers" in Enzo alongside Elliot Anderson and the young intelligent Bouaddi. But truth be told, I think Arsenal has the scariest and most experienced midfield depth in the league. Rice (Dark arts master) Guimaraes (Dark arts architect) Merino (Utility master) MLS Zubimendi Odegaard Eze mostob: |

Can we just get more reliable Central midfielders for the Super Eagles. That central area is our weakness The only reliable person currently is iwobi. Frank Onyeka shouldn't be starting. He should be on the bench Onyedika is overrated |

TheSuperNerd:No goal or assist in a 5-1 win but "he did everu other thing right" If he was a midfielder (like a deep lying one or a central one), it's excusable but as a striker, no goal or assist in a 5-1 win is pretty inexcusable IMO No offense to him though |

TheSuperNerd:The funny thing is this Arsenal still needs reinforcements . A goalie, 2 defenders(RB and LCB), a midfielder (AM.. Nico Paz?) and two forwards (LW and a replacement for Brock Lesnar). Finishing 2nd thrice no be beans. Those experiences would count surely. That's why it seems we're like the best team in EPL currently. Add that to the fact that Arteta is so smart and detailed. He said few days ago that he somehow incorporated unforseen issues (like late flight and so on) into the pre season activities so the players and staff would be able to cope if such issues come up during the season. |

Well, they dont count rebounds off the crossbar as assists except in fantasy stats maybe.
Tolu is not even in my top 3 rated CF options in the Super Eagles but I gotta give it to him. He's been in fine form for Ajax in the Eredivisie and in Europe. 5 goals, 2 assists in 8 games. Blueelf: |

Yes, I agree Arsenal still needs another LW. Tzolis cant be the only one. This LW has to be one with a big 1v1 engine plus ability to play on the shoulder of defenders. And wait, who be Brock lesnar? Na Gyokeres una dey call Brock?😂 Did I just read Nico Paz?? With Como paying €60M to land him permanently from Madrid, you guys will have to battle Real Madrid's €80M buy back clause which kicks in from 2027. Also, think of Max Dowman. As a RW, Saka and Madueke are ahead. At AM, Odegaard and Eze are ahead. Even Havertz can play there. Paz joining without any of these guys leaving further blocks Dowman's path, I believe. Anyway, na una sabi una team best. You are the League Champs, time will tell how Arteta keeps reshaping the squad. But una need Challenger biko. This is unfair mostob: |

He should try driving in more to the box or learn how to do trivela crossing. This his style of crossing wont take time to be countered. TheSuperNerd: |

"Brock Lesnar" e sanu Big Vic na! Yes he's not the elite forward we thought we were getting last season but his 20 plus goals contributions can't be dismissed. Pending when we get an upgrade I think he will do well against the lesser teams when he gets back to formIn terms of areas that need strengthening I concur completely although I think our CB options are already fine with Mosquera and Konsa deputising for Big Gab and Saliba. Eze is on a bit of a slight fraud watch for me. His output lately hasn't excited me. mostob: |

Frank Onyeka and Taiwo Awoniyi start for Coventry City at home vs Brighton. No Femi Azeez... Still working his way back to 100% fitness. No Zadok Yohanna... Ruled out till Mid October (After International break) due to a knock.

Terem Moffi benched for Hamburg away at RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. Jordan Torunarigha starts. Salim Fago Lawal gets 2nd start of the season for Viktoria Plzen vs Sigma Olomouc that has Abubakar Ghali starting. |

Some Clubs in Europe wanted Sani but were only willing to loan him. Leipzig wanted an outright sale so as to cash in as they did not want a loan deal. This is why the 3M euros gain Al Qadsiah offered in a 8M deal for a player bought at 5M was accepted. chrisooblog: |

[quote author=Blueelf post=140622676]Can we just get more reliable Central midfielders for the Super Eagles. That central area is our weaknessThe only reliable person currently is iwobi. Frank Onyeka shouldn't be starting. He should be on the bench Onyedika is not overrated. He is one of very few goal-scoring midfielders we currently have. Some of you Nigerians are always loud and ignorant. Onyedika rated one of the best midfielders in the Jupier League, and a constant performer for them in the Champions League is overrated? The boy went to Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and walked straight into their starting lineup. That league is highly technical and tactical. The level of ignorance that I see on this forum is mind-norming. Can you guys please leave Rafael Onyedika alone? This boy is not even a starter for Nigeria, but every day y'all carry his matter for head like a gala seller. The boy started 2 games at the African Cup of Nations. He scored two goals and was the man of the match against Uganda. In the semi-finals against Morocco, Nigeria as a team had an off game elevated by terrible officiating. The only Nigerian players that had a good game in that match were Calvin Bassey and Stanley Nwabali. Onyedika had a bad game, but it is not like he had a bad game against a crap side. Morocco is the number 6 ranked team in the world, and they were the better team on the day. Rafael Onyedika is a ball-retaining, circulating, and distributing defensive midfielder. He is not a destroyer like Ndidi. Eric Chelle does not really see him as a like for like replacement for Ndidi. He excels in a double pivot holding role and does not really have the attribute to play as a singular defensive midfielder like Ndidi. He is too good and skilled of a player for any competent coach to just drop like that. In some games in which Eric Chelle will twist his system, especially against stronger opposition, his skill sets will definitely be needed in that middle. |

Zadok wont be ready until after the international break (Mid October) but Femi Azeez still has a chance of returning before International break kicks off on September 21. We will see if he makes the Carabao game on Wednesday or the Arsenal game on Saturday. If he makes Chelle's list, then communication over his return before the 21st has been established. Amedino99: |
