Probably a mixup in ScoreNigeria's report on his parentage. His Father has always been reported as Nigerian and his mum, Togolese unless the Original report was wrong all along too. Lol Whatever case it is, one of his parents is Nigerian for sure. Papi85: |

mostob:That is not the point, let's assume Okoye is our undisputed #1 goalkeeper and we are having an important WC qualifier, would his excuse not to report in camp be condoned? And again if the other 2 goalkeepers have their own personal excuses to give, who will then keep. Or half of the team have their own personal reasons not to report to camp? Okoye just want that no.1 shirt guaranteed for him before he can take the national team business serious. He is afraid to compete with Nwabali,he need to prove to Chelle in training and real match situation that he is better than Nwabali. |

The Super Eagles Starting XI. This looks good, Chelle. Looks good. Nwabali expectedly returns in goal. Aina returns to RB role. Bruno keeps place at LB. Bassey-Ajayi CB pair continues. Iwobi-Ndidi center midfield. Chukwueze and Lookman forming the diamond with Iwobi and Ndidi. Ndidi sits at the base of the diamond. Lookman at the tip of the diamond. Iwobi, left and Chukwueze, right. Akor and Ilenikhena CF pair.

The qualification campaign in Africa is based on this principle: win your games at home and don't lose away. If you lose away from home, then you have to get a win away from home. All Nigeria needs to do is take care of business at home and not get beat away from home. Since this group is kind of weak, Nigeria is still expected to win away at Tanzania and Madagascar. Nigeria is still a clear favorite to win against Guinea-Bissau away, but a draw in that match is an acceptable result. |
