It would be quite embarrassing if Guinea bissau play us on a better pitch in their country.
Oh i forgot, we dont really feel shame again in this country
Danielnino00:
I agree... The condition of the pitch seem to have deteriorated..... Now that we are in election season, it could get worse before the next international window...

Season just started...some of these players are trying to be cautious so as not to pick up unnecessary injuries

Observations

1. George actually shouted for lookman to leave that ball. Anyone who knows look man won't argue this.

2. Moses Usor goal exposes super eagles disjointed and lack of unity as a team. Damn, a debutant was all alone for couples of minutes and no support insight.

Were they tired, was it big boysness, or lets see whats he's gonna do? or don't they like him?

3. Akor Adams is at risks of losing his spot cos Chelle I know will definitely pair Moses Usor and Osimhen. I can bet this.
You see that goal; I want to see more of that from the Eagles. That's what you need when you're looking to win a game: individual brilliance. All these looking for who to pass to when you need to win badly a times doesn't work; I remember the match against Morocco, Osimhen had the ball and was wasting time looking for who to pass to instead of going for goal. This is what makes the likes of Nwankwo Kanu exceptional with individual brilliance in tight spaces. I need more of that from our players.

I'm really disappointed in Onyedika, I don't know if it's the coach but I thought by now he would have taken over the mantle from Ndidi
It isn't the coaches fault

the guy has been overrated from day 1

We love to dribble even inside the opponents 18 area.
No one takes shot anymore. Thank God for Usor's goal yesterday.

Onyedika has shown several times dt he’s far from been ready to dislodge a weak ndidi …as bad as ndidi is ,I will always start him over onyedika..dt morrocan match sealed onyedika s fate..dt was d perfect match to seal ndidi to permanent bench role but he failed woefully
Wasn't Nigeria vs Morocco 8 months ago, so you are judging him by that match and not by his week by week performances uptill date

That's why we suddenly became a low-scoring side for donkey years compared to the days when even our midfielders and defenders scored goals.

101st cap but truly technically, Iwobi took part in 2 games which do not count in FIFA records anymore. So the 100th NFF says he earned against Portugal is still a comma.

The June 1 2017 friendly vs Togo is invalid and the 2018 WCQs vs Algeria where we fielded Shehu is also invalid. So Iwobi made his actual 99th cap vs Madagascar once those 2 games are knocked off.
His actual 100th will come vs GNB but then for NFF records sake, it will be his 102nd.

zuchyblink:
Is yesterday's match not Iwobi's 100th cap?

but Una wan kill Tolu, Ndidi, Lookman and others?

Like Chriskel said aside his goal Usor was just ordinary. Nothing special
Who wan kill who? Usor made his debut after coming in as a sub and scored a wonderful solo goal that gave us a lifeline, yes his decision making could have been better sometimes but make una dey relax abeg, this was a high pressure game against a team packing the bus and hitting on with dangerous counters, everything could have gone wrong for us in this match.

All I know is that Chelle and this super eagles era is doing a great job...
Difference between this set and the 2026 wcq set is scoring goals...the 2026 wcq set under peseiro/finidi will dominate and dominate and press and press but still fire blank and worst still they will concede and lost or draw a match.... But Eric Chelle will dominate you, pin you to your defense concede goals, equalize and still beat you.
Chelle will show us that Guinea Bissau and Tanzania are the minnows in the group..we have just passed the test of the toughest team in the group which is Madagascar...If the two of them have sense they should better borrow a leaf from Madagascar (defend deep and counter) if they think they can come and play us man for man, they should go and watch our games under Chelle vs Algeria, Benin,Gabon, Mozambique,Uganda,Tunisia at the Afcon..them go too smell pepper...and i learnt the match will be played on the smooth Moroccan turf🤣
#this evening, you will di€!!

Is Akor Adams the direct replacement for Moses Usor? Is it not Chukwueze?

How dat take concern Akor?

I doubt if Guinea Bissau have a better pitch...but I hope they do

Our boys tend to play better on good pitches.... It's really shameful that we have 2 national stadiums in Lagos and Abuja that have been left to rot... Imagine if the Godswill Akpabio stadium wasn't built...we probably would be playing our home games away from home ever since CAF tightened their stadium approval rules....

I've seen pictures of the Teslim Balogun stadium being renovated.. I hope the pitch will be up to standard

Look at the stadium using Wooden advertisement board in 2026

Big shame to this country

I am not even sure this VAR in that stadium

Street urchins (agberos) are on rampage in Lagos. They have made harassing people who drive nice cars a culture and they are backed by their government, hence it will be foolhardy to host the super eagles there, otherwise the stories that will follow would be quite a sorry one. Look at what they did to Henry Onyekuru a few days ago. Lagos is a big no. I would rather play in Abuja

Maazi you had singled out Mosis in one of your earlier posts. Also, we can infer frim Mosis statement that a lot of the players know they aren't going for the next WC.

I wonder why Chelle had to bring up 2 attackers at same time while leaving Onyeka and Onyedika on the bench?
He must have his reason sha but I would have loved to know his path of reasoning

Our midfield was light yesterday leaving gaps for Mada to explore and play their easy triangular passes

Now we can see that Osi high pressing is unmatched in the team. While Usor was on his solo run to score, he was virtually the only SE player in the opposition half until someone arrived very late. He took on the 2 defenders to score because nobody was available for him to link with
To make the opponent sit back instead of attacking

At dis point , i prefer we play on a good pitch on a nuetral ground Dan dt uyo pitch ..stats have shown so far dt we struggle on our home soil due to bad pitch, our away results have been far better ,this is largely due to good pitches we have played on

Last 2026 wcq..we only won two home matches

2022 wcq …we won just one or two too

Well, good but he should have introduced only Awoniyi instead of both Awo and Arokodare, and bringing in a midfielder...one thing about Awoniyi game is that he can press,Tolu can't do that...

South Africa's 2 goalscorers vs Guinea are based abroad.

Okon with Hannover in Bundesliga 2

Kabini with Molde in Norway's Eliteserien.

Pitso Mosimane starting his return on a decent note.

I get ur point but sometimes d best way to c a game and defend is more attack ,what Tolu and boniface failed to do better against Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 was what Taiwo awoniyi did better Wc was to press the Madagascar 🇲🇬 defence (give dem something to worry about) ,Dey were not settled at d back ,hence couldn’t throw more counter like Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 did cos the duo of boni and Tolu failed to press and give d Zimbabwean 🇿🇼 more problems to sit back

Mind u dt Madagascar 🇲🇬 had 19points in d last wcq too ..so don’t say we were lucky,Dey were not bad too

With all their disdain for Nigerians okon can still be playing and also scoring for them and I know lot of them shamelessly celebrated the goal
