You are Croatian.

You saw your team reach the WC Final in 2018.

You saw your team reach WC Semis in 2022 and finished 3rd too beating Morocco in the 3rd place playoff.

You saw your team reach Round of 32 at the 2026 WC losing to Portugal, who went on to lose to eventual Champs, Spain in the very next round.

Today, you also saw same team eaten up 7-0 in your own backyard, in Rijeka.

Their fans' meltdown is gonna be raw and wild.

Burkina Fasso about to suffer one of their worst defeats. Whoever set up this match doesn’t like Burkina Fasso and Africa.

5 goals to nothing in the first half. Captain IB will most likely not take this.

TIME WILL PROVE ME RIGHT.
ONUCHE OGBELU SHOULD BE GIVEN A CHANCE IN THAT NIGERIAN MIDFIELD
THE ISSUE IS HE PLAYS IN LIBYA (SO OF COURSE TO MANY PEOPLE
HERE IT IS VERY VERY VERY STUPID).
BUT WELL, MORE MATCHES ARE COMING AND WE WILL SEE THE RESULTS.
A LOT OF PEOPLE HERE DONT CARE ABOUT TACTICS. THEY JUST
LIKE "HE PLAYS IN REAL MADRID".

FOR YOUR INFORMATION, ONUCHE OGBELU IS A NATURAL MIDFIELDER.
HE WAS NOT CONVERTED. I WATCHED HIM AT THE LAST CLUB WORLD CUP.
HE IS NICE.
LET US TRY HIM AND SEE.
NOVEMBER WILL SOON BE HERE

At this point, we would be stupid to limit call-ups to players who only play in the so called top 5 leagues..
The GB players that walloped us, apart from Beto, how many of their players play in the top leagues..

What we need are players who can deliver results and where they play shouldn't always be the first consideration..

If we bring them in and they deliver, they will get moves to better clubs..

Right now, we should throw away our ego and go get players that are the right profiles and who can deliver

Russia beat Namibia 6-0

Burkina Faso lost 7-0 to Argentina but they played with U23 lads and few U20 boys from the U20 WafuB. It was not their main squad at all.

The “top five league” myth success has been bursted since ..I I don’t believe in it.we av seen several players playing outside the top 5 leagues performing excellently well in competitions

Anywhere u re,if u re good ,u re good ..i hope dis coming friendly against Russia will give us new options most especially in the midfield

Where are the Seriki league jesters?? Oh if he is that good the top clubs will be dying for his signature bla bla bla. Make Osimhen no play the remaining games, I wan check something I will still say it again and again. Mentality is the key.

like who?
The like of Simon, Ajayi, Chuks. If Bright and Bruno are tired, they should let us know. Nwabali is good but he is getting too overconfident. That midfield needs a major shake up.

BTW which of the players was reported to carry OS (in guise of content creation) enter camp?

You see Netherlands of 98 Euros
You see Greece of 2004
You See Egypt of Abuterika and Hassan brothers era. If not mentality how them for smell the cup??
The same reason the Ivory coast of Drogba era won nothing. Same with the golden generation of Belgium. Same same with this era of SE. If we have up to 6 mentally strong players in that team. No team can stop us in Africa
Our boys are playing in good leagues, but they lack strong mentality and self belief.

Exactly Chief
You have said it all

For now we have Osimhen and Bassey, Fredrick too but he didn't play..
Nwabali used to be a mentality giant before, I really wonder what happened

The DRC team that beat us for the play off spot, you could see how they were oozing belief, while our own players wilted under pressure..

Where you play is good, but if it's not backed by a solid winning mentality, all na trash at the end of the day..

What shall it profit us if all our players play in the biggest clubs, and yet we are consistently disgraced by teams whose players play in obscure leagues..

If what you are saying is true,if he still eligible, let him be tried with the U23 team first,if he comes good, fine, but eventually he must move to Europe if he hope to continue with super eagles.
We wouldn't want to witness another Tanimu episode

Ogbelu is over the age of 23 and so cannot play U23 anymore. huh

As difficult it might be to accept,
Nigeria as a big footballing nation,or perhaps the biggest footballing nation in Africa,
if we don't have some of our players doing well in some big clubs in Europe,it will be extremely difficult for us to dominate and command respect in Africa, because they won't respect and fear us,winning AFCON would become an uphill task.
These players need to understand this simple psychological factor and work harder to get themselves to bigger clubs.

Just
Bassey in Inter Milan
Osimhen in Barcelona or Arsenal
A left back in big club
A midfielder in big club.
Our fortune would automatically change for better.

And this does not mean that those who play in small clubs won't perform well.

Where a player plays does not matter sometimes, but sometimes it matters.

If the so player,Ogbelu is placed side by side with the likes of Onyedika,Nnadi,Alhassan and Dele Bashiru, and he clearly better, then a case should be made for him to be tried in friendlies.
But if he is not clearly better than what we have already, inviting a player older than 23yrs from Libya for super eagles is somehow

First goal against Nigeria was Galatasaray assisting Trabzonspor to score Chippa United 😂

No be league cause this one, it's lack of zeal and hunger from the players. Nwabali open eyes stand at attention make three balls pass am. These days he only saves shots directed towards him. Them don know say he no dey dive so once they drive with the ball, they just pick close to the farthest angle and unleash. Chief no dey dirty jersey.

I had a bit of hope for Tolu but his lack of finishing instinct in the GwG was a real let down.

That's why Senior Man Kelz (Happy Birthday to him by the way) despite his loss of form and pace still has a special place for me in my best performers over the past 5-8 yrs. May lack consistency but on his day will definitely get you a goal.

Only forward who could be relied upon when in form in his hey day to get you a goal in Osimhen's absence.
