Special shoutout to BENJAMIN FREDRICK and ABDULLAHI BEWENE. Benjamin should replace Semi Ajayi and Abdullahi brings more competition to the right wing back position. Hope Nigeria qualifies for the next Afcon and the men Olympics soccer event.

Nigeria Explores Legal Options After Fresh FIFA Documents on DR Congo Player

Nigeria is considering seeking compensation from FIFA over the financial losses associated with missing the 2026 FIFA World Cup following fresh revelations concerning the eligibility of a Democratic Republic of Congo player, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

A senior official of Nigeria’s National Sports Commission told ESPN that Nigerian authorities are examining their options after reports emerged that FIFA had determined DR Congo goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi had not completed the required process to represent the country.

“When we said we had written a petition to FIFA, people accused us of all sorts of things. I think this has proven that we were correct that DRC fielded ineligible players,” the official told ESPN.

This is medicine after death, nothing good will come out of this, mere waste of scarce resources and face full of shame
Last NFF officials should be drilled, they know more than what they tell us, it's such a shameful thing

There’s no point pursuing this in my opinion, the joke is on FIFA that has no respect for its own rules. Rubbish

Youth wins you football, I've always maintained that Chelle's major problem is his unwillingness or perhaps fear of giving more younger players a chance in major games...the older guys he keeps trusting aren't in their prime anymore, these are guys who have failed under previous managers and there's a reason for that...the prime years of Ndidi, Iwobi, Simon, Aina, Ajayi and even Lookman was about 4-10 years ago.
Gradual phasing out of ageing players and gradual integration of new players.

We phased out Ekoong during the WC&AFCON Qualifiers and can do the same to some senior players.

Ndidi can't start 2 matches in 8 days at 30.

A Raph or an Nnadi needs to come in for the second game.

He shouldn't repeat the same mistake in our 2nd leg against Tanzania.

I keep emphasizing on squad rotation and resting of ageing players.

Nigeria should focus more on scouting and developing homegrown talent. Foreign-born players should be welcomed as an added option, not become our primary source of scouting.

Because if we continue relying on the leftovers from foreign-born talent, we risk filling the Super Eagles with average players who may not even be better than the talent we have at home.

Our grassroots system has talent. We need to find them early, develop them properly and give them a genuine pathway to the Super Eagles.

Foreign-born players can strengthen the team, but homegrown talent should remain at the heart of our football development.

Fernandez is a good defender, but you see that equalizer yesterday, his slow reactions was just giving "Semi Ajayi" vibe....The reason why some of Bewene's lapses was not that evident was becos of how lively and hustling he appeared to be.....I personally dislike any player with sluggish body movements...then if you want to be sluggish in your body movements then be an "Iwobi" with eagles eye passes, be an "Iheanacho" with good goal sense

Yea you said so and am inclined to believe that money truly exchanged hands cos it’s never easy for any organisation to go against their own rules if some shady deals has not happened. It’s a mess and shame on FIFA

The first time I saw Benjamin Fredericks play, it took me about 25 minutes to make a call on him. That call was that he will be a mainstay in the SE, and he will be in the big 5 league in 2 to 3 years. I saw all the attributes needed in a proper defender, and most importantly, he was technically sound with a football brain. He was reading the game, processing the game, and playing the game at his own speed, tempo, and terms. I knew this boy was heading straight to the top.

The first time I ever saw Akpe Victory kick a football was in the friendly between Basel and Juventus. He was technically superior to all his teammates. His comfort on the ball and his passing accuracy caught my eyes. The game was never too fast or chaotic for him. Dude was playing on his time zone and terms. Quality players are never rushed; they play the game on their terms. His reading of the game was also advanced. This boy will not be in the Swiss League next season. He will be playing in the big five next season. This boy will be extremely difficult to keep out of the Supereagles starting lineup.

I have now watched Abdullahi Bewene play two solid games for the Super Eagles. I am sold on this kid. Ola Aina better sit up or this kid will relegate him to the bench. The way this boy was coming inside, the runs he was making in the middle I taught, and I was watching Hakimi sometimes. His ball carrying ability, and technicality on the ball made me to wonder why this boy is still in the Czech league; surely he will not be in that league next season. This boy is levels above Oseyi Samuel, and it will be a crime for him not to be in the November Afcon squad. Make no mistake about this: Eric Chelle will not hesitate to start this boy over Ola Aina. The SE right-back position is completely sorted now. When Aina is on his game, he is a top 10 right back in the world, and he has to be on his game now to keep this boy out of that starting lineup.

Finally, on Chibuzo Nwoko, I like what I saw. He is technically sound, but he is just pure raw talent. The skillsets are there; it just needs to be more polished, which will come with time and experience playing at a higher level. He will be a mainstay in the SE in about 2 years time.

Nobody won 1v1 duels today more than Benjamin Frederick. Times and again, Frederick was the last busstop for Russian attacks.

Have a look at the duel stats. Frederick beaten?? Back of Phone!

Nigeria's 3rd goal yesterday was quick fire transition thanks to height. Nicely worked.

Emma Fernandez header forward to Umar Abubakar who nodded into the path of Umar Abdullahi... who in turn took it on a fine run and squaring intelligently for Akor Adams to finish.

I love the quick sequence and spinal thinking done.

Akor Adams vs Madagascar and GNB was crap.

Akor Adams vs Russia with the Captain's armband got his scoring boots back.

Éric Chelle doesn't need to even tell them anything, as a player, seeing how Chelle calls up people who perform well no matter their league should tell you that if you can't prove yourself in your first match you might not get that opportunity again.

He has a playing system.
He's a good manager.
He builds his connections with these boys as soon as they meet at the airport.
All of them want to play for him. I just hope he achieves what he's trying to build. The man dey try abeg. Na only fat liars go deny am. I too love the man.
