TheSuperNerd:
When #12 Edokpolor and #11 Abdullahi Umar came in on 70mins, it became a proper 4-2-3-1.

The Akor Adams and #7 Umar Abubakar changes at half time saw Nwoko drift between the center and the right while Igor and Aderemi remained at the base of midfield. Simon on the left, Akor uptop and with Umar Abubakar as the SS.

But by 70mins, when Edokpolor, a natural 9 who can also play on the channels came in for Adeoye and Umar Abdullahi came in for Simon, some new dynamism came on both flanks and Nwoko dropped deeper to join Igor in a double pivot coz Umar now played slightly behind Akor. That was when the 4231 really took proper shape and we turned the tables on the Russians.

Chelle's 70mins subs did the magic.
I'll take the 4-2-3-1 over the diamond formation anytime

Very flexible and allows our wingers greater freedom. The players can also play in their natural position

He's always on the other side. He also ridiculed us for protesting against Libya.

We should always protest bad treatment. We should have protested RSAs pitch days before the match, same with Guniea Bissau. That's how to earn respect. Na why I love Morocco. Right or wrong, they don't take nonsense.
I have to respond because of misconception.

My critique was against our poor protocol department of the NFF. I felt their handling of the Libyan players in Nigeria caused the escalation of what happened in Libya. I never supported Libya. So get the points right than spread misinformation.

TheGoodJoe:

I don't even want an apology from the Libyans. As far as I am concerned, that was attempted mur*d*er* and their urge for vendatta would have resorted in an international nightmare. All regions in the world were on break.

Finally, the NFF should have been proactive to try to douse tension when they heard the threats from the Libyans. Unlike us, they knew those guys were abandoned and faced a tough ordeal.

I hope the NFF learns from this and take logistics and protocol more seriously.

Thank you.

This is how I started. I am just calling for a more professional touch in handling certain issues like this. Not absolving the Libyans in anyway.

TheGoodJoe:
Something still bothers me regarding this Libya issue and I think the country deserves answers. The NFF needs to organize a question and answer segment with the media to clarify some issues.

As much as we are blaming Libya for being the brain box of the issue, we need to clean up our end too.
TheGoodJoe:
My posts are not meant to condone the actions of the Libyans. What they did as far as I am concerned is the reckless endangerment of National assets. There is no room for pardon and I hope they are cracked down for it. I hope they are made an example to end this recklessness once and for all.

My criticism was strictly on our protocol handling. From when the Libyans were stranded at Port Harcourt, to when the Libyan threats came. Even during the crisis, the NFF protocol team seemed lost. So I expected a thorough review on our end and strengthening of our process.

NO SIDING OR SUPPORT FOR LIBYA IN ANY WAY.

Wondered why Argentina chose Benin for Messi's last match. Turns out they were the only one gullible enough to accept the invitation for friendly under the terms of "you get to play against messi" and nothing else.

'Treated like mere props' - Benin allegedly denied jerseys, photos and revenue share following Argentina match

The Benin football federation has reportedly been left furious over their treatment following Lionel Messi's international farewell in Buenos Aires. Discontent has surfaced after claims emerged that the visiting African delegation were blocked from swapping shirts, taking photographs, or receiving financial incentives despite featuring in the high-profile exhibition.

Visitors endure cold post-match reception

Benin's national team camp was reportedly left dismayed by their treatment following an international friendly against Argentina at the Estadio Monumental. The emotionally charged fixture in Buenos Aires served as a grand stage for the hosts to celebrate Messi's storied international career. Yet once the final whistle blew, Gernot Rohr's side found themselves completely shut out, denied any opportunity to mingle with their illustrious opponents.

Journalist exposes widespread logistical restrictions

Behind-the-scenes tensions were brought to light by investigative journalist Romain Molina on his official X account.

Outlining a series of severe constraints imposed on the visiting camp by the host federation and event organisers, Molina wrote: "The 'respect' from the Argentine Federation (and the players) toward Benin: no bonuses, not a single centime returned from the generated revenue, no jerseys exchanged, not one photo, and banned from entering the Argentine corridor!

"Everything goes to do business on the backs of those treated like mere props."

Controversy compounds prior travel dissatisfaction

The post-match snub only added to growing anger in the visiting camp, following earlier complaints over poor travel and hotel arrangements in Buenos Aires. Reports suggest the African side were also refused any financial compensation from the sold-out showcase, leaving players and staff deeply aggrieved by the entire operation. It made for a bitter conclusion to an exhibition that had been billed as a celebration of football, with the hosts dominating on the pitch to claim a routine 3-0 victory.

African side refocus competitive objectives
Having endured a disheartening trip across the Atlantic, Rohr must quickly lift his squad ahead of upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Benin's technical staff will need to address major defensive lapses after conceding three unanswered second-half goals against the Albiceleste. Securing positive results in their return to competitive continental action offers the Cheetahs an immediate chance to rebuild morale and move past the off-pitch turmoil.

You won't believe but I have not watched much of Eric Chelle. Just been too attached to some things when we are playing. I will try to catch up from next international window. Then give you a proper feedback.

Those three coaches are the reasonwe couldn't get any good player through from U-20 to the senior team
