Perhaps you should check back with the driver in 2 or 3 years to know the level of PTSD he'll suffer as a result of that harrowing experience.

Taking a life is never easy; even when the victim deserve it. If you think it's a joke, ask soldiers who have been to war.

In my opinion, the victim was probably tired of life. She probably knelt there hoping to meet her demise. So unfortunate. And the driver too would have wished he avoided her instead of having to live with her blood on his hands (for the rest of his life). The court may not convict him, but his conscience will never allow him rest henceforth.

Either way, it's a lose-lose situation. May the Almighty rest the soul of the departed.

How would a reasonable person, rather than pray in the designated areas, choose to carry out such act on a highway at that hour of the night? What else do you want to call it, if not foolishness and fanaticism?

If you are not actually blinded by religious prejudice, why not call a spade by its name? Is it right for a reasonable person to offer prayer on a highway at that hour of the night? Is it right? What happened to the mosque, her home, the walkway, a quiet corner, etc? Is it not hypocritical and an attempt at oppressing others? This is really sad. No matter where someone comes from, every human life matters. If a driver causes an accident, the authorities should investigate properly and make sure justice is served. We should never let nationality or religion influence how we view such incidents. Road safety and human life should always come first.
