Atiku, Amaechi, Obi Playing "Political Kalokalo", Avoid Them - Wike by CapitalLens(op): 6:30am On Oct 17
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and National Leader of the Rainbow Coalition, Nyesom Wike, has cautioned the people of Rivers State against surrendering their political future to "gamblers" without vision or proven developmental records.

Speaking during a Rainbow Coalition town hall meeting at Ayama in Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State, Wike rallied support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, declaring that leadership requires concrete action and foresight rather than perpetual political trial and error.

He emphasised that the Rainbow Coalition represents a broad alignment designed to secure a decisive victory in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Addressing a crowded gathering of traditional leaders, party faithful, and community stakeholders, Wike warned against politicians who treat presidential contests like games of chance.

"Don't trust your destiny to political gamblers. Don't trust your destiny to 'kalokalo' people,” Wike charged the cheering crowd.

He described political gamblers as people who keep contesting for the presidency every four years, hoping to recover what they lost, without any genuine vision for the country.

Targeting opposition figures, the FCT Minister singled out former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and his Vice Presidential candidate, Mr Rotimi Amaechi under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), including the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi as political gamblers and “Kalokalo” people.

“These people are political gamblers and you cannot give your destiny to "kalokalo" people; you cannot hand over your destiny to political gamblers.

“Give a destiny to somebody who we know, who has tried all this, and he has done it,” he said.

Noting that repeated presidential runs without a clear governance plan offer no real solutions to Nigeria's challenges.

Drawing comparisons to international political figures, Wike argued that while leaders like Abraham Lincoln ran multiple times driven by a clear national vision, Atiku continues to run purely out of political habit and desire to recoup his investments.

Defending his record in Rivers State, Wike reminded the people of Abua/Odual that project delivery—not political rhetoric—should dictate their electoral choices.

He challenged Amaechi to show his contributions to the local government area, pointing to his administration's projects in the area.

The Minister praised President Tinubu's administration for stabilizing critical national sectors and restoring industrial harmony in tertiary institutions, calling on Abua-Odual residents to remain steadfast with the current administration heading into 2027.

He urged residents of Abua/Odual to vote Tinubu President, Chinda for governor, Mr Felix Obua for Rivers West Senatorial District, and Solomon Boss for Abua-Odual-Ahoada East Federal Constituency, all under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Wike also asked the people to vote for Mr John Iderima, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Abua-Odual state constituency..

Mr Kinsley Chinda, APC governorship candidate in Rivers State commended Wike for moving from community to community, mobilising support for Tinubu and other candidates under the rainbow coalition.

“This is a system that we will sustain when we come into government. We have learnt from him, and we will continue.

“It will be a bottom-up approach; the people will decide and determine their fate in government,” Chinda said.

Earlier, Prof. Continue Eketu, who spoke on behalf of Abua-Odual communities, described WIke as his idol and reeled out projects executed in the LGA during his tenure as governor.

Praising Wike's leadership style, Eketu said, ”we have decided and agreed to vote massively for all candidates of the rainbow coalition”.

Wike’s desperation is becoming obvious.

Why is he so preoccupied with Peter Obi if Obi is just another “political gambler”?

The more he attacks Obi,the more he exposes his fear of what Obi represents.

Wike knows his political relevance in Rivers is tied to his grip on power and that grip will not last forever.

When a politician spends more time attacking the opposition than defending his own record,it raises one question: is he campaigning for Tinubu, or panicking about his own political future?

Wike, in my local parlance once you ask a child to mention any man he knows in his village " the child will immediately mention the name of his mother's concubine. Since Obi won 2023 presidential election which you rigged in Rivers with your cronies in other States and was ratified by Mahmood, no day passes without you mentioning the name of Obi. Has Obi ever mentioned your name in whatever way? Remember, there will be live after Tinubu's tenure.

He calls himself leader of a rogue faction of the PDP with its own presidential candidate, Sandy Onoh, and also an unregistered member of the APC, supporting the APC presidential candidate and other APC candidates, then turns around to call it a “rainbow coalition confusion.

Isn't that a true definition of kalokalo

I went through your post history and saw you supporting life-time pay for ex-immigration chiefs, just because tinubu proposed it.
That was when I knew the colour of your problem.

You are supporting long term negative policies, because of an old man that has only 4 more years as president, if he wins.
You don't even love yourself, or even care about the future of your country.

Smh.

That is how irrational these tinubu supporters are.

They have no love for country, or even their own future.

They would rather vote for the devil, if he contested against obi. He just said it himself.
That is how deeply entrenched their hate and bigotry is. They would sell off their future, if it means Obi doesn't win.

If you care about your country, don't vote along with people like these. They are not looking for what you are looking for.

Who is this? Where did you came from? Oh you want to join the queue of my regular customers here? You are highly welcome but I'm sure you will regret it.

I'm Tinubu 100% supporter and I don't need your validation or opinion about that and if my stand pains you hit your head on the wall.
