Lately, I have realized that family background can shape someone's life.

VDM came from penury background hence he has been trying to put those who are doing far better than him down

And to say none of his family members can't talk sense to his head speaks much about his family background.

Like most politicians and their families, they were not "stinkingly rich" until the coming of democracy. People grew up with them and went to school with them so please no need to argue too much on this.

Democracy, or as Fela would rightly say, Demonstration-of-Craze, has been good to them, and it is because of this that they are flaunting this wealth.

You claimed they were "stinkingly rich" from the onset and that their wealth has nothing to do with politics.

That is in no way true. If it is, please tell me the business the family ran that produced this "stinking wealth" before they got into politics from their grandfathers time?

Politics has helped the wealth of almost every current politician I can think of in Nigeria and the likes of Tinubu, Atiku and Obi enjoy "stinking wealth" because they were/are into politics. It is even a global trend now.

There are some things that it is just silly to pretend about.

VDM spoke the truth. Even when they are rich or sticking as you put it, some things has to be measured especially the son of a sitting governor of a state whose revenue is not much compared to other states in the south west.

Bred and Shina father was never stinkingly rich, his elder brothers Sherubawon and Deji Adeleke amongst other family members were doing well however Ademola Adeleke was the never do well member of their family, he was being dragged along in his happy go lucky life.

He never do well but was living in USA. I guess Davido's dad also became rich immediately Ademola became Osun state governor

Politics has helped the wealth of almost every current politician I can think of in Nigeria and the likes of Tinubu, Atiku and Obi enjoy "stinking wealth" because they were/are into politics. It is even a global trend now.

There are some things that it is just silly to pretend about.

Their family started with their great grandfather who was a merchant that had influence in Ede, their grandfather was a politician but their real explosion of wealth started through the exploitation of Nigeria through the military years as federal contractors.
There are many of them like this across Nigeria who can't explain their wealth yearly because it's born from corruption that predates 1999
