Spoilt Truck Blocks Niger Bridge, Causes Gridlock by fineboynl(op): 1:59pm On Oct 20

A vehicle breakdown and it completely close that section of the road completely. Even the vehicles behind can't go back or turn around.

This rubbish will cause so many hardship and accidents this festive period.

That demacation is not needed. Even at that it added more weight on that aged bridge. Road users call out Engr. David Umahi over the demarcation of the recently commissioned first Niger bridge, which has caused a grid lock on the bridge.

A trailer got spoilt on one lane of the bridge and because of the demacation which was constructed during the rehabilitation, vehicles behind it are stuck and don't have an option of overtaking it on the same lane or turning back to use the other lane.

Don't mind that online yeyenatu. He was the first yeye being to do propaganda with the bridge, using a bus without side mirow parked on side of the bridge, while trailer carefully passed the bus without any gap or space.

This is the reason they say he's abakiliki man.... This has nothing to do with engineering... Even edo state governor will not put that demarcation...

If something is working, don't modify it.... After repairing it, why not leave it without demarcation the way it was before....

Professor of black mind engineer with low brain, the Oyibo that built the bridge without demarcation, no the reason why they left it for a situation like this.
Re: Spoilt Truck Blocks Niger Bridge, Causes Gridlock by Sirjamo: 7:53pm On Oct 20
Stop using the bridge, just swim across

On a more serious note, that barrier wasn't necessary. The bridge is too narrow
Re: Spoilt Truck Blocks Niger Bridge, Causes Gridlock by KillahPriest: 8:51pm On Oct 20
People raised concerns even on this forum but agbado scum who will never set eyes on the bridge said we're telling lies, just look at this nonsense now. All because somebody needed the higher difference expensive demarcations will give them as compared to simple road markings. God forbid these evil creatures

Re: Spoilt Truck Blocks Niger Bridge, Causes Gridlock by VoiceHenshaw27(m): 9:59pm On Oct 20
Self-acclaimed Professor of Engineering, Dave Umahi! Where on earth have you seen a bridge that requires demarcation in the manner you are suggesting? A single car breakdown on the newly commissioned Niger Bridge has caused gridlock. Shouldn't proper engineering planning include provisions for managing such emergencies and ensuring that a breakdown doesn't bring traffic to a standstill? Building infrastructure goes beyond commissioning ceremonies. If you don't know something, allow those who know better to educate you. Nobody knows everything, and there's nothing wrong with learning.
