then in my guest house short time used to be 500 Naira and it can't get me 3litre of fuel then... now short time is 5k and it ca get more than 3 litres of fuel...

these are business I been doing since 2011 so I'm talking from experience

Get an office, get Two Staffs, Be in charge.

Recruit riders on salary based.

Monitor the orders, payment, delivery and feedbacks.

This happen everywhere US, UK, Canada, etc. Value of money depreciates over time.

You dont expect for values of things you got 10 years ago to remain the same today.

I bought two tokunbo 62kg cylinders called bottles for 170k each.

Scale 100kg 80k.

Hose and tap and verve for filling 6kg and 3 kG cylinders cost me 70k.

Shop rent per year 150k.

Fire permit.... 10k

Association levy 10k.


Total cost plus other miscellaneous expenses got to 750k.

As for now things are for more expensive than before. If you are starting with two cylinders/bottles budget close to a 1.5million naira.

Set up a meat grilling or barbecue business with correct branding on social media, word of mouth etc....buy different meats from beef to chicken to turkey to sausage to goat to pork, and be grilling at home, out in the open, with various sauces and condiments like barbecue sauce, chilli sauce, Mayonnaise, ketchup, Mint sauce, Suya pepper etc.

Set up an order and delivery service. Including online orders.

You will be tired of money. 💰

Nothing beats sitting in your house and people coming to you to pay you money, not you running around everywhere looking for money.

After a while employ someone to grill the meat while you simply market the business and count money.

Don't over-market it o! Or you will be inundated with orders, especially from rich folks that do bulk orders for events. Just coded marketing in line with what you can produce in your time and space.

Once you get big, you can open up a joint to do it bigger.

Forget all those sufferhead businesses those guys are suggesting.

The easiest way to make money is not by chasing money, but by making money chase you.

Where are you located. Do you have land. Go to cattle market or north and buy cow calf at 150 or 200k, you can get 6 calf at 1.5. train them for 6months and resell each 600k or above if you are close to people who do party often or connect with family who al bring you buyers.

I decided to buy more bikes but then it turns out that dispatch work is only lucrative if you ride the bike yourself. The moment you start giving out bikes, the prospect dwindles. So I plan to sell my remaining 4 bikes, reason I claimed I could double the capital later down the year.

My spine hurts badly, my chest feels tight, my palms moved from soft too coarse, my eyes are sandy. Dispatching isn't something one does for a long time, in fact when I ventured into it, the plan was to do it for 1 and half years but ended up do 2 years. I have gathered enough and I need to go into something lucrative and yet less stressful.
Please advise.

Since you already have bikes, why don't you look into how to become a speedaf agent.

during those 6months, you won't spend upto 500k to feed them. Go-to Garri factory anc book with those people that peel casave for the peel, you can also visit rice mall for rice culf. Cow hardly get sick of you feed them well

Go do farming, importation or exportation.
A friend of mine sold 3 acres suckers of pineapple last week at 6 million. Mind you, I have not talk about the pineapple there o, it's only suckers. Farming is still lucrative especially crop, you just need to be educated about the particular one you are going for.

No. But I have a cousin that does it. He hardly bothers with marketing again because the aroma of his grill attracts even his neighbours in his area..... Sometimes you go see queue for him house.....Bro don fat finish because e dey sample the meat even as dem dey grill am... His life has changed. Very profitable biz, with zero competition.

Because all we know is Suya.

But his own is international level grills. It's very different.

You are still working in the vertical economy that is rigged against the poor and the middle class!

Nonetheless I suggest that you:
1. Sell raw food especially rice and beans - Man must eat!.
2. Sell water - Man must drink water!
3. Go into solar business (I have ideas) - We need alternative energy!
4. Go into Airtime Business (I have ideas. No physical space needed). Tap into Nigeria's Trillion Naira Telecoms Wealth.
5. Learn phone repairs.
6. Learn laptop repairs
7. Sell cosmetics
8. Buy, sell and earn from digital products (I have ideas)

Split the money into 3 or 4 generating both active and passive incomes resulting in multiple streams of earnings...

We resellers buy currently at 1152 at gas plant and sell for 1500/1600 per kg. Transport from gas plant per cylinder/bottle is 2500.

If you buy 60kg at 1152. Multiply it by 60kg plus transport 2500.

Then calculate selling for 1500/1600 x 60kg then deduct your previous calculation from gas plant. What is left is your profit on each bottle.

If you are in a busy area where food sellers are plenty you can sell minimum of 120kg/2 cylinders daily.

It's not much profitable but better than doing nothing

I make minimum profit of 80k monthly if sales dull.

If market move, sometimes I get 200k plus profit especially if I buy cheap and gas price rise up.

Why not start with men's wears. Go to Lagos Island, buy nice wears (Shirts, Trousers, Wristwatches, etc) . Rent a shop or you can advertise on Facebook for a start. Or better still you can get someone to help you manage a social media account for that purpose. Be posting on Instagram and Tiktok or anywhere you can think of posting. You'll definitely have good turnover because now every young man wants to look good.
