lawani:Industrial development is a function of both political will AND local population As a third world country, it is difficult to break into the market already occupied by China, Germany, USA or UK. The only way to develop is to upgrade domestic technology by selling to local markets. Northern Nigeria is landlocked and so they would probably end up like Niger Republic. South-South has oil and thus would have money to purchase everything at the expense of their technological development. The South-East has a small population and could be an industrial hub except that it would be difficult for them to sell their products to other republics (of former Nigeria). In addition, the South-South wouldn't want to form a unified republic with the South-East. The south-West advantage would be the Sea Port. No, It doesn't pay each one of us individually! |

TenQ:If Ijesa were a country it would have had a government university decades ago instead of in 2022. It would be popular In the world too and the population will exceed three million. It would have an integrated steel mill and it would have at least one oil refinery. It will have a negotiated access to the sea through Lagos. Ijesa in the 1500s had access to the sea through Lagos etc etc They had people going back and forth to Europe and America back then with no hitches |

Ibos are emotional people rather than logical. You just proved my point. My comment had nothing to do with traveling but here's the scope. There's an international airport in Enugu, you don't need to be in Lagos or Abuja to travel. PointZerom: |

Always playing the victim card, it's sad and pathetic. Victimhood mentality is sadly inherently prevalent in these people. They thought they were going to he ruling over everyone else forever, ince that didn't happen, they started to have a victim mentality. |

Ibeto already has a seaport in Port Harcourt so it’s not a big deal. Everybody knows that Igboland would have had giant seaports if we had access to the ocean. The Lion himself. |

Yorubademon001:this kind of your statement is always coming from someone who lacks premises to defend his point. Why are you attacking me instead of my point. Is the man you guys rigged into aso rock as our president not have drug issues in the US ,that he is lobbying to cover? His effort to cover his drug issues is denting our image globally and driving away investors. Nothing damages the image of any country more than that. |

Pakute:Has the federal government allocated any international airport or seaport to the South West? The federal government has approved seaports in the SS and SW but has not allocated or funded any international airport or seaport in any region of Nigeria. In the last 25 years, only Akanu Ibiam International Airport (Enugu) and Victor Attah International Airport (Uyo) have been awarded as international airports. There is only one international airport in the SW, and that is in Lagos Please respond after you have completed your research. If Peter Obi wins the 2027 election, all we would hear would be complaints that he cannot get anything done because of the Yorubas, Fulani, and past government. This seem to be a culture of playing the victim card. |

lawani:Technological development is not about institutions that can be built but about home grown and developed technologies that can first be internally consumed and then exported. Nigeria as big as it it does not produce common Button or Threads or Needles or Pin not to talk about Yarns or clothes. Irrespective of the number of Universities we have or money we make from our sea ports we shall still remain a Backward Third-World Consumer Nation This is the problem sir! |

Faith and sense are not enemies. In many churches here, anointing oil is olive oil, groundnut oil, or vegetable oil that was bought from the market, prayed over, and poured into a small bottle. The prayer changes the meaning, not the chemistry. Inside your body, it is still oil. And your body treats it like oil: *1. Your gallbladder and pancreas pay for it.* To digest large amounts of oil, your gallbladder has to release a lot of bile, your pancreas has to release a lot of lipase. If you do this often, especially on an empty stomach, as in Fasting naa — you get cramping, bloating, oily diarrhea, or nausea. In people with gallstones or a weak pancreas, it can trigger gallbladder attack, or pancreatitis, which is a medical emergency. *2. It is not water. It does not flush.* Some people drink a full bottle at once, believing it will "flush poison." Oil is calorie-dense (9 calories per gram) and stays in your gut. Too much at once, can cause vomiting, aspiration into lungs, and severe diarrhea, that dehydrates you, instead of healing you. *3. Not all anointing oils, are food-grade.* Some are mixed with fragrance, colour, or non-edible base oils, for scent. The label may say "external use only." Drinking that is not faith, it's chemical exposure, for your liver, and kidney. *Faith does not require you to harm your body, to prove it.* In the Bible, anointing was mostly external — on the head, feet, doorposts. Even when oil was used internally, it was a few drops, not a whole bottle. Have faith o, but still have sense: - If you must use it internally, for faith reasons, a few drops, is enough. Your God hears drops. - If you have ulcer, gallstones, pancreatitis, liver disease, or you are pregnant — don't drink it at all. - If after drinking, you have persistent stomach pain, vomiting, yellow eyes, or oily stool, for more than a day, that is not the deliverance finally taking place o — just go to the hospital, don't wait for a second anointing. God that gave you the oil, He also gave you your liver. Use both wisely. Anointing without wisdom, is just groundnut oil, in a holy bottle. |

Yorubademon001:the issue US had with Madura was that he didn't stop the production of drugs when he was asked to do so. Tinubus issue is that the US had closed his case file by confiscating his thousand's of dollars. The reason why we want the issue to be made public is to have evidence against him. If the case files which he is lobbying to cover is made open today, he will be forced to leave aso rock. There is no way the US will come to arrest him when they have closed his drug case. If the file is out today, tinubu will be an ex convict and he will be declared unfit to be in aso rock. Even as that he is still very afraid to enter US today. Infact tinubu has avoided unga meeting in US for good 3 consecutive times. He has never attended any since he went to aso rock which has never happened in Nigeria. The fact that he is avoiding US is enough to tell us that he has so many secret issues which is not good for our country because this action is driving away investors. It has brought a huge global disgrace to us as a nation. |

The late Gen. Buhari made the controversial “dog and baboon soaked in blood” statement. Bola Ahmed Tinubu boldly declared, “Emi Lokan” (It's my turn) - Yoruba Lokan. Until I see or hear such similar bold declarations from an Igbo presidential candidate, I believe Easterners (the Igbos) are wasting their time by not being truthful to themselves about the realities of Nigerian politics. They pretend not to understand the language of the Nigerian politics. |

Yorubademon001:we just need a concrete evidence from US to go to Court.. you can't just go to court and tell them that tinubu forfeited thodsnd of dollars on a drug issues without a concrete evidence and expect them to listem to you. Why is tinubu hell bent on covering the issue? You sound as you are not in this country |

Donesuccess:You’re missing the point sir. We’re discussing Nigeria’s three major ethnic groups and fairness in the federation, not claiming other ethnic groups have no grievances. One group’s exclusion doesn’t cancel another’s. If Ogun attracted investment, good for them. The question is why the Southeast cannot get similar opportunities. And saying the Southeast deserves only one state because you think it’s the size of Oyo State is just your personal opinion, not an argument. Nobody is denying that federal roads are being constructed. But acknowledging ongoing projects doesn’t mean every concern has been resolved. Nigeria belongs to all of us. Asking questions about fairness is not an attack on Nigeria. If you believe the system is fair, address the issues with facts, not ethnic comparisons. |

hacunamatata:You can ask your people to leave. You can't ask everyone to leave and not all your people will respond to you. Some have married Yoruba people and some are grounded in Yoruba land. So at most you get 500k people to leave. How much difference? The population in a place like Anambra is not indigenous too. Left to indigenes Anambra should not be much more than Ekiti state You seem to not realize that as non Yoruba are in Lagos you have Yoruba in Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, Jos, Onitsha, Enugu, PH and etc. Do you really think strangers in Yoruba land outnumber Yoruba in other places? You would be wrong. The skills sector in any Nigerian city is more or less dominated by the Yoruba and the Yoruba in the UK alone may surpass all non Yoruba in Lagos. This is why you shouldn't think anyone is doing the Yoruba a huge favor by staying in Lagos, Ibadan and etc. It is a rub my back I rub yours scenario. A symbiotic relationship |
