Kelewele is a Ghanaian dish made with fully ripe plantains, seasoned with ground spices (onion, peppers, ginger, ehuru and the likes), then fried.
It is spicy and very flavorful.

Why make plain dodo, when you can make kelewele?
Dodo is delicious, but kelewele is deliciouser. cheesy

So, have you ever eaten kelewele?

What I actually like most about it is the name. cheesy

Sure.

To make kelewele, you can use a combination of these spices (shown below), or use the ones you have (onion, peppers ginger and cloves are not optional)
A bit of this and that.

Blend the spices, and add to your already bite-size cut plantains, add a little salt, mix and leave for some fews minutes to marinate, then fry in hot oil until golden brown.

Very soon I would blend ripe plantain,Titus fish, onions,a lil ginger and tomato then fry and come up with a name for it.
I'd name it tinubu tugunu

This combination is too rich for the name you want to give it. Besides, it doesn't contain agbado and cassava, so there is a mismatch cheesy cheesy cheesy

I swear I love kelewele. When I used to live in Ghana in the early 2000s, I used to buy it every night.. there was this woman who used to make it on the main road. I used to buy it for 5000C back then
